There's an old episode where Bart had a side job and he was delivering a bag of eyes to a Chinese doctor. When they both met up, Bart spoke Cantonese to the doctor. They did a pretty good job on that scene.

Really glad I found this channel. I started with a google search for Wayne's World because Mike Meyers says something in, I think, Chinese in Austin Powers when he's telling his son to be quiet ("zip it" colloquialism). He does a few minutes of making jokes about saying "zip it" and then speaks in Chinese(?) and says "Translation: zip it". He's lying about the translation to deliver the joke. But, I couldn't find anyone saying what he was actually saying or trying to say. I found the Wayne's World video and then started watching so many other clips. I really like how the format for the channel changed over time and look forward to catching up on the other videos! It's been so fun to learn what's going on in the movies how it's interpreted. Thanks so much for all the attention to details.

its interesting because theres a lot in the episode with death of a salesmen where, from outside looking in, it could be seen as offensive. so i found it fun that you found that scene to be so funny. Theres a scene in a later episode of american dad where they do this joke about how the show got sold to a chinese billionaire at the end, and they show about 2 mins of the chinese version of american dad would be like. It would be interesting to see how you would react to this, not just for language sake but to see if the jokes work for you aswell

This message is super bizarre, but I was in China in 2010, I forget if I was in Xi'an, Beijing, or Chengdu when this occurred, as I was in all three places. However, I was in the most beautiful market with green rooftops, a lot of little ponds, and it was an old market, I actually bought a toothpick holder from an artisan there, and I still use it to this day, love it, but there was a small girl named Jessie who I spoke to and met her parents. Unfortunately, I had to leave as I was with school and being behind on getting on the bus would be not cool, so I left by bowing, saying "Xie Xie, bu yao" (I can't do accents on my computer, sorry!) but I have always wondered what happened to her. I have zero clue if you are her, but I'd like to think that perhaps you are her, and that she is doing well with her English (it was fantastic then). I know this comment is bizarre, but like, wow, the world is a small freaking place.
This was a super fun vid, I love learning Chinese, such an amazing language (I love all languages, tbh). I just love Chinese, and China was such an amazing place. I wish to someday go back, because what an amazing country.
    Peace!
