I love when modern 2D sonic games with the good ending boss, it’s called something strange like “Nonagression” “Exeption” it makes me feel the emotion of the boss.
All the extra stages had some sick sounding names that's usually very simple on paper, like "The Doomsday Zone", "The Final Fight", "Nonaggression", "Exception", etc. It's one of my favorite things about Sonic games.
Every time you Double Boost in Forces might as well be a cutscene tho, since even if you decide not to mash the button, the Double Boost will basically continue like normal.
I hated it as a kid. Now it's my favorite boss in the Sonic franchise. It's pretty fun, challenging, and has great music. Other bosses have only one or two of the above.
I never knew it EXISTED as a kid, cos I never actually bothered collecting the emeralds (my young mind didn't consider that there may be a reward for doing so)
yesterday I saw a TikTok showing the “too black” and “too strong” voice samples were from a Malcolm X speech and now this pops up and for the entire back half I’m just picturing Malcolm X playing Sonic Rush for Nintendo DS lmfao
6:01 bloody hell .18 seconds it took sonic to hit eggman with the green energy ball after eggman fired it. Plus Wrapped in Black is my favourite Sonic song of all time
I spent YEARS as a kid struggling just to beat the normal final boss. I finally beat it at 17. This extra boss took me under half an hour. Just went back to the game rn and the 2 final bosses I did on first try (mostly. Died as blaze once because I didn't know what he was about to do.) Meanwhile, I can't get through this! Gah.
egg king: has an amazing theme egg salamander: has an amazing if not slightly awkward theme but who cares ghost titan: sounds like gangstas paradise in the first few parts egg wizard: SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was with my dad I herded about sonic rush on my tablet then I started to watch it then I was obsessed with it and this will always be my favorite game and,at the end I almost cried 😭
What is it with this game and not telling you what your moves are? First with pressing R to do a dash forward for Dead Line, and now Blaze being able to shoot fireballs. Like, who would expect that one of your jump buttons (which have had identical functions for the ENTIRE game) is now suddenly a different firing button
It's near impossible to deflect the mines using the boost, let alone aim them at Eggman, who has no discernible pattern to speak of. Whoever programmed the collision detection didn't know what they were doing. It's possible to beat the boss, but impossible to S-Rank. I can only damage it when it fires the green lasers.
The story is split between Sonic and Tails trying to figure out the source of a tear in the space/time continuum, and Blaze's quest to get her world's Sol Emeralds back from Eggman's clutches. Sonic meets the mysterious Eggman Nega, who appears to be from Blaze's world. His demeanor is more cold and overly polite than Eggman's, and he has an obsession with being called by his full title. Eggman Nega is Sonic's main antagonist throughout his story. Because of her duty as guardian of the Emeralds, Blaze feels she has a responsibility to keep her troubles to herself, and actively refuses help from others. Soon she meets Cream, who immediately decides Blaze is her friend and insists on guiding her around the world. Cream gets Blaze to meet a lot of people and through a long series of events, Blaze slowly comes to realize she can let herself rely on friends, and there's no weakness in that. Sonic and Blaze are eventually lured into the same room by Eggman Nega, who manipulates her into losing her temper and battling Sonic. However, after the fight they clear up all the initial confusion and become friends. With Sonic and Blaze having collected all the Chaos and Sol Emeralds, the Eggmans finally play their hand. They reveal that stealing the Sol Emeralds caused both of their worlds to merge, and begin tearing each other apart. They claim to want the power of these Emeralds to create the ultimate Eggmanland. Sonic and his friends help Blaze unlock the true power of the Sol Emeralds to transform into Burning Blaze, alongside Super Sonic, and together they defeat the Eggmans in a huge battle. The aftermath of the fight opens a temporary portal to Blaze's world. She must take the Sol Emeralds back in order for the dimensions to become stable again, which means this is goodbye. Sonic leaves her with a message that gives her hope for the future. He also lets a heartbroken Cream know that Blaze is alive and doing well. (It's implied through the dialogue that Eggman Nega was manipulating Eggman, and his secret goal was to destroy both worlds entirely. Bringing both sets of Emeralds together was meant to achieve that goal, but he failed to account for Sonic knowing how to keep the Chaos Emeralds under control.)

Sonic: Is that is?
WH-
I think you mean "Is that it?"
Also, Sonic loves a challenge, you know.
That it?
Could we try this again?
Ah tes, the final boss that has you double boost to beat it, before double boost was even a thing.
Generations did this as well
Well Blaze was the first person to Double Boost with Sonic actually
you don't double boost, it was a cutscene.
but it was lore wise, you can't actually play it tho.
Every time you Double Boost in Forces might as well be a cutscene tho, since even if you decide not to mash the button, the Double Boost will basically continue like normal.
Oh, the Egg Salamander... That made me RAGE as a kid!

Though Mania's Metal Sonic battle is pretty darn good too.
Looks more like a machinedramon

9:10 that sync with the music thoooo
OH THAT WAS SICK
Beating exception as a kid was a great feeling. Love this game
i love how the true final boss is called exception
That's the zone's name, the boss is called Egg Salamander

It's the super sonic stages that are fun to challenge and have better music.
Agreed. Wrapped in Black is one of my favourite Sonic songs of all time.
Well, they are the epic final battle of most games.
The entire Sonic Rush and most of the Rush Adventure soundtracks is music that I would listen to on an hourly basis.
They really need to bring back supersonic final bosses because the chaos emeralds are a joke now
@@saifang7271 I'll say

The only minus in true boss is that the lives of Blaze and Sonic arent cumulative. I was in deep trouble myself when Blaze had 2 lives and Sonic had 9
For me it was the exact opposite and im lucky I had time limit off or I would be screwed because this took me over 10 minutes to do and figure out
@@MisterRegretti my issue was more in how the lives of both characters are not combined so there would be more pressure with playing with another one
@@MrPhantaze I had 0 lives with sonic and about 5 rings left when I beat the boss with over 9:59:99

The way that the Egg King hits its fists sounds like Eggman Negative wants to *brutally* end Sonic!
Thank you for posting these videos. I got Sonic Rush when it first came out and wasn't able to S rank any of these levels till I found your channel.
Wrapped in black!
So many memories of childhood
egg king: has an amazing theme
egg salamander: has an amazing if not slightly awkward theme but who cares

Egg wiazrd should be eggmanland,it sounds close

Collecting 100 rings in this Zone will not grant the player an extra life, instead just increasing rings in the ring score forever

As a DS game it was pretty good for its time ngl
Kinda weird that the final attack from this game served as inspiration for the one from Sonic Generations.
So... both Eggmans died... I mean. They just obliterated the mecha in the middle of the space, so.... RIP
So... Rush Adventure?

...Yes.
Can someone explain the story to me. I've played sonic rush before I just skipped the story.
