I love how the actors credited each other and Ridley but also prosthetics, make up, hair and costume. Costume only usually get credited on period dramas normally. It looks like a great movie to go and see

@@SoundsSilver Gaga is technically more culturally accurate, since she's Italian-American ... which is probably also why her accent sounds quite authentic, she probably has relatives who speak with an Italian accent ...

Saw it twice. Fun and exciting movie. Jared Leto is amazing. They were all good I must say. I can’t pick a favorite because they were all good 👍
Pacino is a nice man. The kind to protect the worst cast member from criticism. Leto did a Mario Brothers imitation accent. Completely took you out of the movie. Kudos to his makeup artist though

I didn't think it was a realistic portrayal at all. Of course I have never met Paul Gucci but from the interviews I saw he wasn't the comical flamboyant caricature that Jared played. Maybe the character was written that way so Jared is probably not to blame, because they greenlighted his performance, but I still thought his performance was the worst out of them all.
@@LordWout I agree. Paolo Gucci was nothing like that being portrayed in real life. Yes, Jared is not to blame and honestly he was the only one that got some reaction in the movie theater.

She is able to do what Madonna could not. Gaga can act, her eyes, her charisma eat up the screen.

Lady Gaga's eyes......goddamn, they so alluringly beautiful in this movie. I can't stop staring at them. No matter what Salma Hayak is wearing, she is still one of the most beautiful women even though they made her look frumpy.

Well kind of at first she married for love but once she got to gain a hold of power she wanted to have money and she was very materialistic.
@@onesalteepeanut6581 She married because she knew that some day the Gucci family would welcome Maurizio and Patrizia again. Rather when they had their first child or when Rodolfo saw the marriage was going great.
If there is one flaw in this film, it's they made Patrizia too sympathetic. I read an interview with her, and her utter callousness and lack of remorse creeped me out.
@@janesgems7 It probably was one side of her that Lady Gaga chose to focus on. I’m sure there are many sides to Patrizia… although you are probably right that she was more cold.

House of Gucci looked like a live version of Nintendo's Mario brothers with Jared Leto playing Mario and Al Pacino playing Luigi.

the actors in this movie were all great. I really liked this movie. especially al paccino and lady gaga. its almost cliche to pat al on the back, but IMO some of his roles stand out and others are just fine.
Money, power and privilege are inherently evil… I mean, coming from an influential icon worth $150M, born into an upper middle class family in Manhattan, maybe she had to think this through a little better…

Jared Leto part in House of Gucci was hard to do, becoming completely another person in every aspect, is not easy to do and he did it perfectly.
The only person didn’t do anything in House of Gucci is Adam Driver, did he even talk? Maybe few words.
It was the worst.
Just because Jared went through a lot of makeup and prosthetic does not mean it makes him the best actor!
Thank you! Yes, his character was a visual transformation, but I thought his performance was like a slap-stick vaudeville routine rather than just being an eccentric and bizarre human who doesn't quite fit in.

Great cast, great costumes..i mean ridley scott. How can it go wrong? But sadly despite all the trailers n hypes, it is such a let down. The directing, the dialogues, the sequence of scenes are all of over the place. Its like trying to fit decades of story into a 1.5hr film is jogging it thru. Shouldve been an 8 episode mini series THEN itd be more impactful... great talents wasted on jogging it thru history. I couldnt get pass 30min of the movie. Big let down...

Lady gaga portraits a very vulgar character while the real Guci's wife was a chic and sophisticated woman
i hate manufactured accents, i hate in fact the monoculture of the anglosphere. if real italians (not those from the bronx) speak with each other, they don't have a foreign accent. they speak their own language exactly, precisely but of course with all the differences that class, education and varying backgrounds bring. the anglos get it very well when it's english language only. but the second they are depicting non-english speaking people in their own countries, they forget. i have nothing against portraying non-english people speaking or trying to speak english with varying different and indeed funny accents, but the guccis did not speak italian with a foreign accent. i'm not even italian, which kind of proves my point.
