Great video. Could please do a video explain expectations of how cold an empty reefer can get to arrive at a shipper? Is is realistic to have an empty reefer arrive at -10F at a shipper? Drivers keep telling me its difficult to be at exact temp until frozen product is loaded. With 45 min to sn hour after loading trailer temp will go up correctly. A video explain would be great
It’s not that it can’t do it. It’s just the wear on the unit and fuel consumption to pre cool down to that temp is noticeable. Then when the driver backs to the dock all that cool air is blown right out and the trailer is back up to ambient temp within a few seconds. Maybe a higher temp pre cool like 10f would be a good compromise enough. What you really want to ask for is a picture of the screen displaying “pretrip test passed” so there’s no existing issues with the unit.
Washing my condenser right now. I've removed the front cover and the net behind it to have better access to the coil. My reefer started giving me the problems lately, what it looks like that discharge pressure gets so high ( in the 460 psi range ) that the reefer shuts off. Do you think the dirty condenser could be the problem? I sure hope so. All belts are good, have a good freon level in the compressor and receiver glass windows also.
yes, that can possibly be the cause. If the condenser is dirty it cant cool the refrigerant which can cause high pressure. Not saying it's your problem...but could be
Hey my Thermoking reefer S600 is throwing smoke from exaust some times.mostly night time I can see that clearly..it’s running ok what could be the issue or it’s normal
@@DIYSEMI it’s white mixed blue but not every time.I see it at night time mostly.Yesterday I was in cold wether and raining so reefer throw very heavy smoke for some time but after 15-20 minutes it becomes low..
I checked engine oil it was not contaminated but little low on dipstick..Just little not too low.6 months ago I get complete service with EGR clean.May be mechanic not cleaned egr properly..Is that possible??

-10 is possible empty. It really helps to have some thermal mass in the trailer to hold temp rather than cooling dead air

It sure was. Reefer works good now. Keep your condenser clean guys - night and day difference!
That's my problem now. I'm just doing dry loafs to get home. Plus I have alarm A21, so it won't clear

Look up “foam n clean” thank me later. It’s used to boil out fins on AC systems in homes. It’ll get out stuff you’d never imagine
degreaser is not good for the condenser/evaporator coil fins, it could damage it
