FASTEST STREET CARS AND THE GREATEST TRAILER EVER: DAY 4 OF SICK WEEK 2022

- In Episode 186 of Mike Finnegan's Garage, we motor down the road to South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia to experience our fourth day in a row of an epic racing road trip called Sick Week 2022. Lots of stuff went on; we replace a smoked clutch in the Roadkill 1986 Pontiac Firebird, which we are affectionally calling Beef Water, because of the paint job. We also interview Keith Turk about his involvement in running Sick Week and Drag Week events, and Eric Yost shows us how a real trailer is put together to make surviving an event like this. The trailer has a kegerator and a gas-powered margarita blender!

That low camera angle in the pits as they drive by is a killer shot. Of course the sound of the engines would be nice to hear as well but I'll take the great photo angles you guys get any day. The music selection is cool as hell by the way, no knocking that. Great job interviewing also!

I've said this in the past but as much as I love watching the shows I also love the music, I start shazam whenever I start watching the shows. Congratulations on sick week and as usual the shows have been brilliant. I wonder if you could do something with a tour with jet boats? Are there enough people who can go fast on land and in the water? Quick cars with quick boats in the trailer, I'm sure you can find plenty of rivers or lakes big enough and near enough tracks to make an event. I guess this would be the equivalent of an iron man contest and hopefully bring more people into these amazing sports.
Oooh. Thats a interesting race week. I wonder if there Are a hidden group of hotrod boaters that also have a wild street/strip ride.
Make em have to tow the boat, then make a mornin run in the water, then afternoon drag strip runs.

Where would there be a region with drag strips and boaters with close enough distance to actually make the logistics of a boat/drag race week
@Matthew Laumann I would say Florida again and it would need to be like sick week with not too much driving in between, 6 days 3 on land 3 in the water.

That 1979/80 brown LeMans at 5:58 reminds me of my dad's friend car when I was a kid he had a car looked the same and my dad built a engine for him and that car was so fast I remember riding in it and flying down the road LOL! that was back in the mid to late 80's

We street raced from 68 to 1971 legitimately second Friday of the month at Dodgers stadium way with cooperation from LAPD and city. I had a 66 chevelle sporting a built 427 hurst.. tore up most that challenged me. We would never have someone film and encourage illegal racing at street outlaws do and discovery Channel. If we had the new technology.. man o man

ive drove an worked on my own cars all my life an have always wanted to go to the drag strip to run my cars but we have some crazy stuff locally an its never been a welcoming experience for 12second + cars or at least when i was younger. in the past couple yrs or at least b4 covid they was having $5 drag races an u could go an pay 5 bux to run u car an get a time and they let ppl do call outs during those events an i was always told i should go check it out but i was left with the bad experience from yrs ago so i stayed away but id love to go on one of these drag week style races just to get to see the ppl i watch one and two so i could actually give it a shot an run my car cause these envirments seem to be alot more welcoming to beginners i guess you can say.

We need way more Test and Tune events. At least one night a week. ALL YEAR LONG. Late 90's my local track had T&T for $15. Run all you can between 4-9pm Thursday night. $3 to spectate. I feel T&T nights get a lot more people out to the track. It's not as intimidating as showing up at a competition event.
$15 was way better than risking a $200 ticket on the street or even losing your driver's license.
