He’s a borderline genius who adapts philosophy to music And he burns on guitar! I believe he truly is the voice of the new generation And with him being an old soul he also keeps that touch of nostalgia alive! I really hope the right people read and agree with this! Mr. Corgan, every time I hear you in an interview, it's like hearing my thoughts and feelings articulated in ways my mental fetters won't allow. The point at 34:10, about it not being enough to attack someone's "prism" without offering them something to replace it with, is something we should all be aware of. Also, I'm a huge fan of Disney's EPCOT City concept. One of my favorite sights in Disney World is the original EPCOT model Walt worked on. We need another visionary like that, empowered such that we can use new ideas and techniques for day to day life that bring us together in understanding, innovation, mutual benefit and common purpose. I've been nerding out on EPCOT City for decades and hearing you mention it and it's implications really meant a lot. Thanks for your work, insight, and sincerity. If we in Gen X have fewer voices than the senior and junior generations do, I'm proud to have you as one of them.

Growing up in Appalachia (and dying to get out and finally doing it) I can relate to this interview in a way I didn’t necessarily expect to. I’m never ashamed of where I was born, but I always knew it wasn’t where I was “supposed” to be.
My mom was the Washington State hippie in my dad is the country guy whose parents are from Kentucky and moved up north. dad taught me stairway to heaven and play the eagles songs but he also played Hank Williams Sr., Loves and admires Bill Monroe, etc. I wanted to be a rocker but I always played acoustic guitar, I have to admit there's always been an appreciation for country music even when I didn't want to admit it LOL. It's definitely present in my guitar playing, or can be. Thanks again Billy.

I was in high school when Gish came out. I saw The Pumpkins 4 times during the Siamese Dream tour (traveled to different cities) and continued to see them live with each album release. I’ve seen the angry Billy that yelled at the crowd but also took that aggression and screamed the most beautiful songs I could ever imagine. Flash forward to 2007 and here is that same Billy thanking us for coming to the show. Waving to everyone and showing that he appreciates the fans. I loved the Billy from 1994 but I also love who Billy has grown to be. I’d be willing to say that any fan that listened to him speak for 40 minutes here would continue to listen for much longer. I think the world would be a better place with more people like WPC in it. I think America would be a lot better off if he was leading us as opposed to a bright orange joke. This is a great interview. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I've always appreciated and admired Billy Corgan. Ever since I bought Siamese Dream back when it came out. The Smashing Pumpkins really elevated music appreciation for me. Also helping me in my teen years. I am glad he is still putting out material and speaking his mind.
Billy, you are such an intelligent person, every time I hear one of these intelligent interviews, I'm amazed at your answers that are amazing stories that show your intelligent side.
I think humanity would improve if everyone could recognize within themselves their particular gifts. Thank you Billy for creating a body of work that continues to inspire and to heal. It seem that He was a good journalist aware of his matter and place. For all, the statut of philosopher is the best,I'm a kind of Historian and I like this interview. The United-States has grown fast, really fast, the owners were lucky to have the best peoples of the Earth. Unfortunately no release date yet but I know it takes a lot, really a lot of time to make the version Billy wants to because of the incredible amount of stuff (many versions, many, many layers etc.) stored. But some people are speculating. We'll see. I like pretty much all tracks really a lot. Picking just one is really hard. If we take the released Machina album and the the Machina II LP and its 3 EPs, than I guess if I have to pick, my favorite tracks on there are: In My Body, Slow Dawn, Saturnine (spacey version on EP), Heavy Metal Machine (alternative version on EP), White Spider and Here's To The Atom Bomb. However, I know Saturnine is not going to be on the official reissue double album, I doubt that the Heavy Metal Machine that will be on it will be the alternate version so you can scrap those I guess and I'm not sure about Slow Dawn. How about you?
It’s one thing to have such unbelievably deep thoughts but to be able to also to precisely articulate those thoughts ... it’s quite rare . Billy is freakishly intelligent. He’s on a whole other planet of IQ.
It a bit odd to hear Billy refer to the Pumpkins. He wrote, and played every instrument on every "Pumpkins" song (lp and singles.) The pumpkins only existed live. I absolutely love the music and the songs bring back great memories.
Billy was annoying to me for about a decade in the 2000's, but I've been liking him again lately. He really is such an interesting guy and seems pretty smart. There are a lot rock stars/musicians that I love that I really would rather not hear them talk. But I can listen to Billy for literally hours. Very insightful. Wish I could spend an afternoon with him some time. But I'd probably bore him to death wanting to talk about all of the old songs...
