“I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people.” - Sir Isaac Newton This quote is basically Docs episode. “I can live in a swamp and break the game, but can’t be bothered with the madness of Hermits”.
I would not be surprised if Doc ended up shovelling more sand just for the hourglass, than he will get back from the shop throughout the rest of the season
Took me a minute to realise the FULL metaphor of the sand timer. They're filling the sand in when they want wood AND THE TIME THEY TOOK FARMING IT. Talk about the GOAT
As Doc makes a all-in-one wood farm, he should put a deal of type: "For every shulker bought of wood X, you get a shulker of wood Y for free. Where Y are woods types sold by Big Salmon" Permits gives you right to sell stuff but nobody mentioned on camera that you cannot give out stuff for free ;) (Edit: I am saying this jokingly)
He has the natural ability to see the comedy in almost any interaction and it lets him bounce off anybody with quips. I first encountered him in his collabs with Impulse and his solo stuff is great.
Skizz has known a lot of the hermits for years. He was on the legacy server, he joined the hermits that went in 2016 (I think) to either a minecon or vidcon (I can't remember). A couple years ago they played a massive amount of Among us with a bunch of hermits. Not to mention all the Life series that he has been part of. He's been in the same circles as them for a long time, so for a lot of the hermits they already know him or at least of him. That takes off a bit of the newbie edge. He's such a people person and so natural at comedy. Even if he doesn't know them, he's excited to get to know them and good at getting them to relax and get to know him too. I want to see him interact with Keralis and Xb. I feel like his chaos would go well with the quiet mischief of Xb and Keralis would match his energy so well.
that hourglass is magnificent, i watched X saying that the hourglass maybe should be made the centerpiece of the shopping district and that all other permanent shops could surround it rather than be spread out... and i agree with X it is an eye catcher...

Wood shop: Supposed to be cooperative between multiple Hermits. Wood shop: Has Doc's logo on it, even though he's sharing it. Idk Doc, but I think you're in your villian arc.
To be fair Doc is the one who spent literal *days* gathering all of the materials except for the copper and built the entire shop so it's only fair he gets to put his logo on top...
Grian and Scar blowing up the bore was a simple issue with a "team efford": One clicked the noteblock once, and the other did not notice that, and clicked the noteblock again just after the first click primed and befor it was launched foreward. So it really took the combined power of both.
The theme of this season is fittingly enough summed up by a German term: Schadenfreude - pleasure derived from another person’s misfortune So far, Doc is trying to dish it out to everyone, but in the end it all backfires on him. Schadenfreude doesn’t pay, Doc 😂
Doc’s story this season is really going to be amazing to watch. Everything will be bigger and better than “the good guys” they will bow down to him wether they know it or not. All we need now is moody flashbacks to what led him down this path of sandy domination.
There's so much about this giant hourglass build that wigs me out, but above all else is the fact that from the way Doc is putting it - it sounds like he is going to be selling logs for sand FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of filling up the hourglass. Like... what?
You play minecraft like a total psychopath. I mean this in the best way possible of course, but the tunnel boars and the millions of mangrove trees you've farmed? What in the WORLD. Completely mad. Keep up the good work.
He is the hero of the proactive lazy, those who are too lazy to grind getting something for 20 minutes manually so they take a few hours designing and building a farm for it to do it automatically 😂
Don't be mean to Cleo Doc. Be the better hermit. I say if she needs villagers, you should help her get some. Get her aaaaaaall the villagers. Lots of them. Flood her base with villagers so she may have all the villagers she could ever need and never run out.
No, it's extremely rude of Cleo to steal those villagers. It's as difficult for Doc to get them as Cleo. There is no "engineering" those villagers. It's just breaking lecterns over and over again to get the right trades. IIt's really a time consuming process. I would be furious too if I was him. If I was Cleo I wouldn't even THINK of stealing someone elses villagers. I truly don't get why she did that.
🤔They don't have to be alive villagers....he did show his zombievillage spawnproofing technique. He could flood the inside of her base with zombie villagers.. Zombies for Zombie Cleo?😊
Nope, she deserves punishment for stealing and then cover it up with stupid claims. They weren't hers and taking them was wrong. She can't always get away with shit as she typically does. She took the shortcut by stealing them while others did all the work. If you've spend day after day for a week from morning to late in the night to get all book trades for good prices you know what a major affront that was of hers. That's just not ok. She should have to bring all of them back including all the books she already took from them and then get a punishment on top.

The Post Office can declare eminent domain and take the shulkers without beef's permission. Also if Docs not selling the shulkers they do not violate the permit

- A very petty man
“I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people.” - Sir Isaac Newton
This quote is basically Docs episode.
This episode is another fine entry into the 'reasons why Doc builds another space laser'
ANotHer?!
As Doc makes a all-in-one wood farm, he should put a deal of type: "For every shulker bought of wood X, you get a shulker of wood Y for free. Where Y are woods types sold by Big Salmon" Permits gives you right to sell stuff but nobody mentioned on camera that you cannot give out stuff for free ;)
(Edit: I am saying this jokingly)
now thats an interesting loophole :)
Free is still selling
@@emilyscloset2648no, it isn’t, you can gift things as you like. Businesses that are not allowed to sell beverages can still give them as gifts.

Skizz's chaotic good nature was such a great addition to the series :D
Especially in contrast to Doc's Lawful Evil persona
Skizz fits in so easily, it feels like he's been playing on hermitcraft forever
He has the natural ability to see the comedy in almost any interaction and it lets him bounce off anybody with quips.
I first encountered him in his collabs with Impulse and his solo stuff is great.
Also Joel. Both are great.
Seriously. I swore he already was (probably because of Imp & Skizz).
@@andrisbalodis2222 I think it is a bit more awkward and interactions are not as natural. Like gem and pearl at first but look at them now
Skizz has known a lot of the hermits for years.
At the pace this is going. Docm just gets 50% of all sells and provides 100% of all materials.
I want to see Cleo's perspective on this, now, when Doc starts pacing back and forth while ranting. :D
that wood shop is amazing! I can't wait to see it filled with all the sands of Hermitcraft
Season 9-
Hermits: U can't dupe the sand
Season10:
Doc:ok now u buy the most used resource with sand
(physical and psychological atk at once)
Big wood is where it’s at!!!
40:19 “man, that thing kicks a-…. kicks serious butt..”
Etho "Nobody uses blue glass", Doc "Bet"
43:43 Ngl, this is the cutest I've ever heard Etho speak, and it's making me feel weak 😭
I didn't notice when watching it. Thanks for highlighting it. It was indeed cute.
It's becoming increasingly clear that this season, GOAT stands for 'Grind, Optimise, Automate, **Them**'.
that hourglass is magnificent, i watched X saying that the hourglass maybe should be made the centerpiece of the shopping district and that all other permanent shops could surround it rather than be spread out... and i agree with X it is an eye catcher...
did he say that on a stream? just curious cus I don't remember him talking about it on am episode
@@durjam3734yep, on today’s stream
@@durjam3734 yeah it was on stream earlier today...
The corgi thing never fails to make brake down cry-laughing no mater how many times I watch it! XD
The conversation between you, Cleo, Joe, and Beef was hilarious, I'm crying. That "Anyways... what?" is iconic.
Im not ashamed to admit 'big wood' made me giggle
Edit: i always thought it was stupid when people say "OoH LoOk 1K LiKeS" but i get it now lol. Its not even a good comment lol.
I saw the notification and gasped lmao
Nice. Now we need to get this comment to 69 Likes.
I don't see what's funny
"Wood" can bei another Word for penis
@@why3994Language barrier or are you just stiff?
Wood shop: Supposed to be cooperative between multiple Hermits.
Wood shop: Has Doc's logo on it, even though he's sharing it.
Idk Doc, but I think you're in your villian arc.
Weird you only started thinking so now
Oops i placed a block.... in your tunnel bore... breaking it.... just now repeatedly. ~skis and beef... probably
To be fair Doc is the one who spent literal *days* gathering all of the materials except for the copper and built the entire shop so it's only fair he gets to put his logo on top...
Doc is ALWAYS in his villain arc and we love him for it
Everyone else is in their villain arc. Doc is a fair and magnanimous individual.
Sleep deprived doc is already one of the greatest thing to happen on this server!
Grian and Scar blowing up the bore was a simple issue with a "team efford":
One clicked the noteblock once, and the other did not notice that, and clicked the noteblock again just after the first click primed and befor it was launched foreward. So it really took the combined power of both.
Sooner or later one of them would have decided to see how fast they could make it go. It was always doomed. ^.^
Report cleo to the authorities for selling beverages without having a permit and steal her book permit😈🐐
I was watching Welsknight. And saw this insane build growing in the background wondering what madman would pull that off.
Doc. Of course.
The fact that Doc ends up having to sale wood with Skizz and Beef is the freaking best and so dang funny Goatfather working with Big Salmon LOL
The theme of this season is fittingly enough summed up by a German term: Schadenfreude - pleasure derived from another person’s misfortune
So far, Doc is trying to dish it out to everyone, but in the end it all backfires on him.
Schadenfreude doesn’t pay, Doc 😂
With goat power comes goat responsibility
The fact ethos said he'd give you a mailbox last HOLD HIM TO IT HAHAH!
He could make him build it in BFE at the end of the season after Etho has long forgotten how to build them, then send him 12 bamboo.
The best quote of the entire vid is at 49:55 “I devastated every savannah in the world *maniac laugh*” had me laughing like crazy
He knew exactly what he was doing while titling this episode
Doc’s story this season is really going to be amazing to watch. Everything will be bigger and better than “the good guys” they will bow down to him wether they know it or not. All we need now is moody flashbacks to what led him down this path of sandy domination.
People will look back at Doc this season as the villain they grew to understand ;)
People calling Doc the villain reminds me of Pearl in Double Life-neither of them is out to get you (but they're better on your side).
yeah, he's not insecure at all.
for some reason, i see ren somewhere in doc’s story lol
@@Anticaat if the king and the goat team up nobody will be safe
There's so much about this giant hourglass build that wigs me out, but above all else is the fact that from the way Doc is putting it - it sounds like he is going to be selling logs for sand FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of filling up the hourglass. Like... what?
Being a mindcrack viewer, hearing Etho, doc and beef (just missing bdubs) is really nice. Nostalgia.
You play minecraft like a total psychopath. I mean this in the best way possible of course, but the tunnel boars and the millions of mangrove trees you've farmed? What in the WORLD. Completely mad. Keep up the good work.
Doc, you are not a villain.
You are not a hero.
You are a silent guardian, a watchful protector.
A Dark Knight.
Nah, he's a super villain. He has presentation.
I'd rather say he's an antihero
@@plantcraftie4141the joke is to be petty about it, and to monkey’s paw it, make her regret ever taking them
Nope, she deserves punishment for stealing and then cover it up with stupid claims.
@@plantcraftie4141I don't think you understood what the comment was all about
Dude, that looks so cool.
Doc, doing his own thing, making “enemies” and threatening war so early in the season…. I’m SO excited for Docs revenge!!! I love how he doesn’t let anyone walk all over him!
the italian music during the big wood meeting was hilarious
Cant help but compare Doc getting angry about not being told about his villagers and Joe not being told about the Big Wood meeting......
22:45 Haha Doc, you big softie, moving over for Grian like it’s nothing, brushing past it, you can’t fool us!
(says the person who didn’t notice until after the last episode that all the contracts said “half the ***DIAMONDS*** i make”)
they said "earnings"
The Post Office can declare eminent domain and take the shulkers without beef's permission. Also if Docs not selling the shulkers they do not violate the permit
I love the chaotic and very tenuous relationship between doc and the salmon gangsters at the top of the log food chain - serious power struggle should lead to some hilarious developments
This episode should be titled "Doc vs the World", I was rooting for Doc the whole episode, for every 'discussion' he had ! The hourglass looks Amazing, and it will look better as it slowly fills up ... with sand 😊
Just got the idea of calling the shop "morning wood" and building a redstone mechanism with daylight detector causing the doors to open only for a short random period of a few ticks making wood shopping expierience a daily event on the server 😂
He had built a huge tree called morning wood in his single player world before. It's been a while though.
Honestly the hourglass might be one of my favourite Hermitcraft builds. It has such a good fantasy gothic vibe, it looks amazing and it's given me some inspiration for my D&D game.
Doc: builds a monument to show off how petty he is
Also Doc: "I am not petty??? 😮"
Love all the shenanigans the permits have caused!
i'm using the tiny bore RIGHT NOW to get the hole ready for the mammoth bore! Can't wait to use it. :)
That hour glass is just jaw dropping. I saw it last night on Twitch when some other Hermit was streaming. So cool.
