      James Rainey Tbh with the awful sound quality of microphones in earbuds, and how far they are placed from your mouth, I would just turn off the earbuds and use just my phone, for even remotely long calls.

      They got a software update to version 2.1.0 recently that improved call quality quite a lot.
      Still not great but very useable now!

      Idk about these, but the overear m3's are also not water or sweat resistant, and I'm.the sweatiest person on Earth, living in hot hot Mexico, been using them for about a year sweating every day in my commutes, the subway, walking for.miles, I can't see any type of wear or being affected in any way.
      So maybe no ip rating, but I don't think you'll break them.sweating

      @Brandon I imagine they just didn't go through official testing. To your point airpods aren't sweat resistant either. I think most people would be fine, don't think "headphones will be ruined on a hot day" is an actual concern lol

      @@PratikShahEditor I have the Bose soundsport wireless (not the truly wireless ones). They do that and work quite well. As far as I know jabra 65t series and b&o e8 also have that functionality.

It's such a good thing to be on the train with laptop and phone and be watching a movie on laptop and then just simply answering phone when it goes through the headphones also. This one feature just stopped me buying these Sony headphone... Was literally going to get them tomorrow... Oh well maybe have to get the Bose 700 even though I wanted something smaller and more practical for everyday.

      No BT earphones can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. I really didn't get that part mentioned in the video.

      Then the title is misleading if it competing with Powerbeats the thing that make AirPods popular is 1. Easy to connect with all your devices . 2. Easy all day charging and compact , now include wireless charging by choice . That and you can see their battery status on the phone

      Yeah every time I try using my Sony bluetooth headphones to take calls I get complaints that people can't hear me properly :/ I don't think they focus much energy on it

    Extremely interested, but the moment you said no volume control, no sweat resistance, and no multiple device pairing makes this a non-starter. I'll stick with my Galaxy buds.

      Was thinking the same, but spending almost 90$ more for buds that are only better in Sound than the galaxy buds (wich is still subjective) and don't have volume control or sweat resistance isn't worth it for me.

    Wow, you sold this for me. I have the first generation which has excellent sound and I solved the connection issue by downloading the app but the battery life is horrendous. Plus they are bigger and don't have the added touches you mentioned. Great review!

    I love my Sony sp700n earbuds. Though they only have 3 hours of battery life, they are far better than whatever is on the market and it is also IPX4 splash resistant. Waiting for the next version

    these look promising but airpods and powerbeats pro are supporting audio sharing in iOS 13 which is extremely useful. are these compatible with that feature too?

    Been using it for two weeks now. Near perfect on almost every category, noice cancelling, base, sound quality. HOWEVER, one major set back. Its easy to fall out of my ear at 4.0 pace on the treadmill. It start to slip out my ear when my sweat start to builds up. This is my first "buds" so cant say much for Airpods or Galaxy. But to me its a drawback from my favorite, MDR-XB80BS.

    Gotta lay off and wait for the new Bose TW earbuds dropping in the fall.

      Yeah 2020 is hella long to wait. I'm thinking to get the Sony ear buds on Amazon so I can easily return them if I dont like them.
      I didnt get the Bose Soundsports because 1) usb charger 2) very bulky ear buds 3) no touch controls. I do agree with you that the comfort inside the ear is great. The added features the 500s will have and the change in the ear bud unit design will make them unbeatable in the TWS game.

    Sony has always been my favorite brand for headphones or earphones. I’ve owned beats and they don’t last longer than a year or less with heavy use. My headphones and earphones from Sony have all lasted me 2 years plus, and with heavy use. They also cost significantly less than beats brand.

      The price you can handle, but can you handle it another 4 times when it dies from a single sweat bead rolling into it and frying it?? I'm staying away from this just cause I know even my presence would fry them honestly. lol. I don't even know who this is marketed for honestly. Definitely a big no from me as an avid runner, and I don't wanna imagine these in any climate that's not a controlled A/Ced office, which makes a lot of it's features already redundant when you think about that alone. 🤷‍♂️

      It's noise cancelling, not sound isolation. NC only lower down static ambient noise like in airplane or train...

      It actually will make it worse. What you can do is put on noise isolating IEMs and then put earmuffs on top to get the best isolation. Of course, ANC works differently.

    Need gym edition. There are no good noise cancelling wireless earbuds for the gym (where they are needed most of all)

      WP-700N has active noise cancelling and is a sport edition.
      But anyway for the gym and workout i would buy a different pair than the WF-1000XM3

      I use the predecessor, Sony WF-1000X. Always on the go with them, sweating in the sun, and I am taking them to the gym. No issues whatsoever, and Sony confirmed that they weren't any complains from people about that. So it isn't that important to have that rating, because in normal scenarios there won't happen anything.

    They do look much better than the original WF1000X'S. If the quality is better as well I might have to replace them since mine aren't getting better with age. The Bose soundsport and galaxy buds are good options as well but which ones are the best?

    Any way to switch gesture control off? It blocks sound when wearing in a helmet.i was able to switch off the touch left right off. But the hand over ear i was not able to switch off.
