Thank you so much ! I watched your videos two weeks before my IELTS because I was not really prepared and I got a L8.5 R9 W7.5(even though I NEVER did a task 2) and S8 !
Now I know you are not telling the truth. Never wrote tasks 2 and still got 7.5.😂😂😂😂
@@footballmoments7698I can send you my ielts results if you want 😂 I only watched videos of people explaining what to do but never did one bc I had important time-consuming exams and I was surprised too when I found out 😂
But I have an explanation:
- I’m a native French speaker in a French high school and we have to pass a literature exam in which we chose between two subjects: a commentary (analysis and interpretation of a text) or a dissertation (a very structured essay in which we answer a specific question) about a book we read. At the time, I was preparing for this literature exam and the concept behind it is pretty much like the IELTS Writing task - just in French and a bit more difficult
That, coupled with the fact that I am a STEM student (i often have to analyze, summarize and criticize documents like the one in the writing section of the IELTS) and that I consume an important amount of media in English, including books, was what lead me to success in my opinion.
And the task 1 definitely helped me gaining some points because I really took my time on it.

Hi Asiya. Thanks for explaining the band calculation so well. I have a question. Is the speaking exam evaluator same as examiner? I mean if the person who takes speaking exam also evaluates it ?
Thanks Asiya, you're the best! I have a question: I detected I use less than 30 minutes in task 2, but I need more time in task 1, Am I allowed to use the time as I need to or I'll be restricted to spend 20 minutes for task 1 and 30 mins for task 2? Thanks!
I have attended pen and paper based exam..you will be given solid one hour..it's your wish to split the time..even I took 30 mins for both 👍🏻

I can only say I’m lucky I got high score on reading :p I mean, if I just got one more question wrong in reading, I’d prob fall to 7.5 overall

I've heard that in IELTS writing scores are always rounded down. Is that true?
Who is going to mark the IELTS Reading and Listening computer-based exam? if it is by computer do we have to write the correct answer as same as on the computer. for example, just think I write ten minutes then the answer is 10 minutes according to ai marker. so is this correct or wrong
And what would happen if I fail one of the parts??? I'm a little bit worried about my speaking..

Asiya I really wanted to ask I didn't completed my essay in writing task 2 but wrote the conclusion anyways but forget to write more words cause I was out of time in writing task1 I wrote in a hurry so I didn't proofread it.both of the task 1 and 2 how will be judged any idea..?!

Marking criterion is different in writing and speaking.
If you score 7 7 7 6, your score is 6.5, NOT 7
Do you mean the scores are rounded down in both writing and speaking? Omg how u know that bro?
Can we attempt the speaking section alone to improve the score for the test which we have already attempted or the only way is to take the full test all over again?
You need to give full test.

With this new strategy of ielts, the scores don not round up any more, specially for writing as far as I know.

Hello mam i know this comment is not related to the video but i have question and i was hoping you could answer it for me. I took my ielts lrw on 13 and i made a mistake by writing the conclusion on the backside of the answer sheet when i took an additional. I reviewed both task-1&2, but in the end when i was reviewing the conclusion i noticed that I made this mistake and there was no time left to copy it to the frontside so when i asked my invigilator if it was okay he said yes but i still have my doubts so i searched for any possible answers to my question,but found none!!! Can you please tell me if that's alright? I'm worried about my results 🥺
Hope the examiner will turn the sheet! It's like they will. In a situation like this you can just draw an arrow to show where it is. Good luck!

Isn't 8777 supposed to amount to a CLB of 9? But according to this video, by taking the average, it only equals a 7.5.

Well, 9998 will give you an overall Band 9 score. 8777 definitely won't. Sorry to bringing the bad news!
