19:32 'You can see it how dark it is by the lights in the pub in the background...... .... pub in the background (DA says wistfully)....... I wonder what they have got in there.' Just the sight of a pub in twilight seems to trickle away some commitment to the match in hand. And why not?
😂 absolutely - how many times have you had to wait for her to get her hair ready etc. Time for the tables to turn......only too glad to help. Send my regards to the Mrs.....
Great stuff! Well done, the Sanderstead lads (of all ages!). Nice batting, good bowling and superb fielding. It's 5:54 am in England as I type this, so the "final" must be over. Hope you won it. Thanks a mill, again, Dan!
What a great, fantastic, amazing game. LOVE IT. all around wonderful performance from everyone. Rory ! How did he see that ball behind the stumps. Class keeping. Can’t wait to see today’s match. What ever the result. All the best Rob D
They say that the drummer in a Rock Band keeps the group together. This match shows the importance of a wicket keeper in helping the bowlers and supporting the fielders. Also the backing up by the SCC guys was special throughout, great commitment. Simple stuff can save loads of runs and put pressure on the bats-persons.
Some crazy good fielding here! Love Dev's bowling action, he puts a heap of shoulder into it ...and how spritely is young boomer running around the paddock!! haha love it! ..keep up the great work, Dan, I follow religiously and keen to start my own channel here in Perth when my cricketing days are over.🍻🍻 Cheers lads!
I was sorely tempted by “Pub in the background. I wonder what they’ve got in there” but we all know what you meant. Rory looks like a shoe in if he can be persuaded to play regularly. Nice work again. Looking forward to the decider.
Thanks Dan. Beautiful looking ground. Is it just me or does The Village Vettori look like he has real talent with the ball??! All the best for the final.
16:40 I like the way Greg looks like he is busting a move on the wicket as though he is on the dance floor with his follow through. Greg stay off the wicket mate lol
The bloke with the red heeled shoes bowling right arm around, his follow through is straight through the “danger zone” of the pitch. 😂. Every ball. Love it. Nice win. 👏
07:56 A classic example of the batsman's head NOT being over the ball! This clip should be destined for every coaching manual. Well OK, every manual up until the late 1960s when the cricket world started to evolve at a faster rate, starting with David Hughes hitting test class off spinner John Mortimer illuminated only by what umpire Arthur Jepson described as 'good moonlight' to now a world of reverse sweeps and other creative shots.
Bloody good wicket-keeping, and somewhat tighter fielding bringing a great result! (edit...that's possibly unjust because it was a great team effort all round!)
@@SandersteadCCTV that's fantastic, congratulations. That's a good second XI you have there, youth combined with experience, plenty of variation, a Pinky, and a barman who swing's his balls. 😂
Good match. Sanderstead bowled and fielded well I thought. Defended the total well. I think they needed a luminous ball at the end though. Looked very dark.
Spot on with the Andy Roberts reference. Showing your age though! ;o) Always easy with hindsight, but that's a match that really should have started half an hour (or more) earlier.
3 things I took from this game 1) Ryan Brothertons a brilliant all rounder 2) Tom archers a brilliant fielder and 3) dev forgot to put his belt on when he was batting lmao
Just a note. I'm really enjoying your videos, but please please keep the bowler and batsman in the shot. When you just focus on the batsman, I can't see what's going on.
"Yeah good fielding their from Matt Harris....Don't hear that very often!" lol "None of them getting any younger" Lol Edit: Excellent fielding there....should win league easy!
15:00 'Like a young Andy Roberts' I was thinking exactly the same but Devon Carr can be seen to smile ruefully. '"Roberts was the Silent Assassin, with a chilling lack of animation while carrying out his deeds of destruction". cricmash.com/biographies/andy-roberts-the-expressionless-assassin
Young Andy Roberts ! Love it Dan you are the bumble of sanderstead mate 😀😀
Does Matt Harris bowl left handed and throw right handed ?
Cheers

Saturday 8pm a video pops up. It’s about time the Mrs waited for me before we go out.
😂 absolutely - how many times have you had to wait for her to get her hair ready etc. Time for the tables to turn......only too glad to help. Send my regards to the Mrs.....
Dan Allen Catch reaction scale:
‘Oh that is a good catch’
‘Oh that is a superb catch’
‘Oh that is a wonderful catch’
[Jacko]
Haha! Yes, I need more superlatives 😂
Great effort all round, especially in the field, and the keeper's definitely a keeper.

28:20 'Who wasn't any good?' Brilliant incisive post match journalism. Gives Sanderstead CC TV that edge over others.

Totally - good keeper is incredibly important
Great keeping Rory 👍🇦🇺from fountain gate cricket club keeper
He certainly was

Cricket on weekdays! I envy you guys :D

He's great and getting better
You have to win the toss in a September evening game. Don’t fancy that chase in the dark
Quality by the one and only dan Allen. Great commentating
Thanks dude....
Enjoyed the match nice to see some Village cricket cheers from a fan in Australia
Well done guys....on to the finals ...can't wait!
Brilliantly done Sanderstead. Great game

172 had a blinder behind the sticks and good to see that Del was still wearing the same clothes as on Monday. Congrats to the team.
Del changes for no man!!!!
I’m glad to see my suggestion of the Village Vettori’ being used for Matt Harris
Thanks - his dad, the Cornish Kohli also suggested the name. It’s a good one!
What a super game! Well played.
Wait a second... a truly competent team effort on Sanderstead CC TV? I thought this was a parody channel ;)
Haha! we've done parody - now for some real cricket......
07:20 'The Greg nurdle..... magnificent' . Four simple words of commentary to treasure.
Cheers
The bloke with the red heeled shoes bowling right arm around, his follow through is straight through the “danger zone” of the pitch. 😂. Every ball. Love it. Nice win. 👏
Congrats on winning the league!!!
Well done Sanderstead CC!
Excellent performance Sanderstead. My MOTM Brian Brotherton just for his first ball.
He had a great game!
What a all round team performance, brilliant and what a keeper. PS great commentary dan
Thanks

Great team effort, now to watch the final 👍
Was the 'final' not recorded, or was it PPV?

In an ideal world, yes, but some people work!
Solid keeping from that man Rory
Keeper certainly looks 1st team standard. Excellent standing up to stumps
Great game.
Good luck in the 'final' boys
Thanks - upload very shortly....
Enjoyed the glovework
Blessed with some great wicketkeepers at Sanderstead
That keeper Ryan/Rory is superb
really good
Well done, Rory's a good addition to this squad
Rory's a wonderful find!
That keeper looks decent
The keeper stood up to Ryan Brotherton but back to Greg 😂
Well done Sanderstead.
Good luck for the final .
Can you tell me what happened to Tricky Wilson?
Question for the Village Vittori. How come you bowl left handed but throw right handed when fielding?
3 things I took from this game 1) Ryan Brothertons a brilliant all rounder 2) Tom archers a brilliant fielder and 3) dev forgot to put his belt on when he was batting lmao
Excellent observations!
Pettifor had every ball on the dab , brilliant stuff
He's a great "nurdler"
Rory needs to play in the final.. looks a very sharp keeper and can bat a bit
Player of the match for me
He works Saturday's unfortunately
Very pretty ground
Dev on fire!
Bommer reminds me of a football player John Parkin same build
Wicketkeeper played a BLINDER.
Just a note. I'm really enjoying your videos, but please please keep the bowler and batsman in the shot. When you just focus on the batsman, I can't see what's going on.
Thanks for the comment - I will always give a few different angles, but do tend to get bowler and batsman in most of the time.
Their leggie seems to give the ball a good rip.
You got to keep the keeper.
I hope so
No Sheldon?
He would have been deadly on this pitch.
"Yeah good fielding their from Matt Harris....Don't hear that very often!" lol
"None of them getting any younger" Lol
Edit: Excellent fielding there....should win league easy!
How come Gregg no longer plays in the 1s. They seemed to do better when he was captain in 2018.
K I he’s done 5 years of captaincy in the 1s and with new players coming in he’s a better addition for the 2s
Best comment, "No football today."
Wow, does Matt "Village Vettori" Harris throw right handed but bowl left arm spin?
Yes - just another of his quirks!
@@SandersteadCCTV And Why Not?!! 😀
This team would beat the 1sts minus Tyler Jallen and Jacko 😉
Not sure about that - the opposition teams are so different in quality
Rory is a good keeper but he's no Kit from the Sunday team
😂
Great effort, Hii, I'm from India & I would like to join this league or any of this cricket club ❤️ please give me one chance to prove my talent

Devon Carr more like Devon Malcolm ?
your new batsmen / keeper looks like a good player. Good find!
He's been around for a while but can't play Saturdays
Could catch Covid 19
