  • First trip out on my boat Fishing in good conditions with everything working! Put about 15 nice Crappie in the box. Couldn’t be happier with the performance of this old boat! It’s gonna be a game changer for me! Once I get all the seats finished, and a few small things buttoned up, it’s gonna be a sweet little ride!

    This trip out was just more of a test run of everything I installed and redid, just lucky to put a few fish in the box in the meantime! This boat is 32 years old, just goes to show what’s possible!!! 🐟🐟

      There is nothing at all wrong with that boat, it serves the purpose getting you out to where the fish are. I have a pretty nice 1992 Tracker Pro Deep V 17, I can still catch just as many fish as those those high dollar boats can.

      Hey Barfly,
      Where can I go and fish off the bank for crappie and sand/white bass? Ray Robert's, Lake Lewisville, etc

    • @BarFlyFishingTexas
      @BarFlyFishingTexas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Said Abboud, Honestly, White bass are hit or miss all over the place… No Crappie from the bank right now. Water is too hot up shallow

      @@BarFlyFishingTexas what about using a tight-line a good ways out with minnows. I need a fish finder!

    I saw your video last night. Inspired me to make a run to Ray Bob on my kayak 1st time. Forgot my kayak seat and fish finder had electrical prob. I still managed 2 sandies, 1 blue cat, 1 LMB, and 4 crappie including my PB 15.25" - 2 lb slab. Thanks for pumping out the good vibes!

      Randall Niblett, using very flexible rods. Looks more drastic than it is.

    Clean boat! I literally just went Mariner Sails this morning to pick up a Berlypro Visor for my Humminbird. After putting on the Graphglass non glare screen I had a hard time seeing the screen in direct sunlight with polarized glasses.

      Not bad for my first trip running everything! And Ray Bob is hard to fish.

    These spots accessible by kayak? Are the buck creek bridges hitting good? Or are the millions and millions of brush piles to right of the bridges good? Or to the left towards the main part?

    • @johndaltonrowe5920
      @johndaltonrowe5920 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The most I’ve ever caught is 3 and that was by a colvert bridge by buck creek.

      In November I limited out every time I went for three weeks straight on Buck Creek’s railroad bridge. But right now it’s slow there. The fish I have found were scattered on the trees. And there’s so many trees it’s hard to find them. We are catching all of our Crappie on the Pecan Creek launch on the other side of the lake. The bridge is holding fish as well for guys that don’t have electronics

      They are hanging around bridge columns, and exposed timber, also exposed telephone poles at about 17 to 20 feet.

    PERFECT BOAT, N V US........it kills me to see guys fishing for sand bass or crappie outa 20 foot $60K bass boats......i guess they gotta have 250 HP minimum to get to the other side of the lake....its that old fishing mystery, why everyone goes to the other far side of the lake???? we all pass each other at mid lake???? why not just put in OVER THERE.....lol

    Ray roberts lake is open now last time have reserved ??

    • @andrewmabry8995
      @andrewmabry8995 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on where you put in. All the pay parks are by reservation. Pecan Creek, Sanger marina and Buck Creek don't require it. Not sure about Jordan as I've never put in there. Buck is closed at the moment due to high water.
