DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2023 | DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL VLOG & CHIT CHAT

Hi everyone! Download 2023 has been and gone! So I tried to do a little Vlog/chitchat style video for download. I actually cut this a little bit short because I did think it was a little bit long, but now I’m looking back on it and I think I definitely should have included some more things so below is going to be a little bit further on the chitchat, but obviously if anyone asks anything in the comments  I will also reply there.

FOOD VENDORS
now, I know they have nothing to do with download in a sense that they don’t report back to them, but I’m going to. They were robbing people blind. They didn’t like showing people how much they were charging on the card reader, they weren’t giving you what they were advertising, especially companies like Munch box being one of the worst. I ordered a burger that was Buffalo sauce, chicken, blue cheese and all the trimmings. The only thing it said on the board they had out was gherkins. And I was okay with there being no gherkins. I received and I wish I’d taken a video of it, a stale bun, a piece of chicken and a cheese square haha When I argued it they said they don’t have any blue cheese etc so why are they selling it then? Honestly the food vendors were a disgrace. The clothing ones where no better. I know somebody who got charged £20 for the £10 hat etc!

ECO CAMP
-  Ecocamp was so clean, which was amazing
- The toilets are better than other campsites as they were compost. They didn’t smell and they remained clean throughout the whole five days.
-The biggest negative with Ecocamp is if you meet friends, or you have friends in other campsites, they cannot come and see you. I understand eco not letting anybody in who has a tent or any form of camping equipment that could allow them to set up camp. But your friends with a can of beer aren’t exactly going to make it their home 🤣 so I do think you should be allowed friends into the campsite. Eco camp tickets are no more expensive than general camping and have no difference to general! The only major didference is we look after our area and the toilet is compost. Not allowing your friends to your tent sort of takes away the fun festival friendly vibe!!
- Another negative with Ecocamp was they over sold the campsite this year. There was no walkways at all in the area I was camping and it was pretty dangerous. If anyone had needed an ambulance, then they were absolutely screwed because you couldn’t even walk without standing on peoples tent poles and near breaking your neck. This was because they allowed people to squeeze into the littlest of spaces. I mention this now because I have read that somebody died on Monday morning so it does reflect what I was saying when I was at the festival with regards to the walkways, not being accessible for those on foot or any form of ambulance 
WATER POINTS!
- there was definitely enough water points at the campsite
-  the water points in the arena where a different story. There was definitely not enough and those that there was didn’t have the best water pressure. So because the water pressure wasn’t strong enough, there wasn’t enough water points if that makes sense - if the pressure had been fine then the amount of water points would’ve been okay. It did take us 45 minutes to fill a bottle of water because it was a drip coming out of the tap.
- The UK has had some of the hottest summers recently so pressure or not. They definitely need to have more water points as it was dangerous. Also I hate the canned water. It makes me want to vomit, especially when it isn’t ice cold.
