I love how this scene plays out. She's just minding her own business listening to the song, then he shows up and joins her. She takes a glance at him and doesn't notice, then takes a second look and realizes there's something there. She's trying so hard not to stare but her urge over takes her and she just gets fixated on him meanwhile he's not really noticing... then she snaps out of it. He leaves and she freaks out thinking she's letting the one go... she chases him and finds him. He breaks the awkwardness by showing her the CD, she replies by showing him the CD but then she gets nervous and realizes how crazy this is and she leaves. Then he's the one left with the awkward feeling. Clearly she made a mistake, clearly should have perused it... but it's too late. I wonder, when was I too late? Or when was someone, who noticed me, too late?
I've watched this so many times, but today was the first time I've noticed she is wearing a wedding band..

I miss music stores so much. Being a teen in the early 90s and hanging around all day with my friends listing to, talking about, playing music. It was our life. Getting off TH-cam to drink some beer and play some of my old CDs.

I think it's great that this video opens up a woman's perspective (in the song it's a male perspective), looking at a beautiful man, feeling like a creep. expressing this feeling. A brief analysis:
A young married woman is listening to a song on the headphones when a man about her age stands next to her to listen to the same album that she is currently listening to. You can tell she's married as her ring finger, along with her wedding band, is on display for much of the time that the two strangers are stood next to each other. She looks up at him and is instantly taken with him, there is a moment that flashes across her expression that gives this away. However, she recovers as anyone who has just had their breath taken away might if they didn't want to appear as though they were a "weirdo" for example.
She steals a few glances and they exchange a fleeting and obligatory smile before the man voluntarily engages the woman, albeit only for a moment, with a little hand gesture. A little more genuine than that smile you share with a stranger you've locked eyes with, this establishes some common ground: they both enjoy the music. This brings a bigger smile to her face and as she looks away, as the chorus comes in it is clear by her expression that she is fully infatuated with her listening partner stood next to her. Again she glances up at him once or twice before she leans a little outside of peripheral vision and is now actually just staring at him. The infatuation is building, but she is married and torn between whether or not to engage him further.
Eventually the man has heard enough and hangs up his headphones, but before he leaves they lock eyes once more as he is turning to walk away. Now she is giving him a longing look while she watches him leave, she wants him to stay and it is now that her complacency is shattered and the fight with indecision begins. She knew he would leave eventually, but now that he has a sort of panic begins to set in. This is effectively displayed by the use of camera angles, close-ups, and quick cuts of the woman looking around to see if she can spot him again. Soon, she leaves in hurry to find him and doesn't even bother hanging the headphones up again. What started as a longing look is now becoming a borderline frantic search and she is becoming more and more visibly agitated. She wants to see him one last time before she gets off the little ride of infatuation and attraction she has been riding for the past (what is actually close to exactly) 2 minutes. Finally she finds him and together they share one last exchange, but this time it is she that leaves him after she gathers her things. As she walks away the camera moves back to the young man, who looks down and taps the CD case in his hand, perhaps indicating that he is taking a moment to also think about her and momentarily reflecting on the fact that he did not engage her in any kind of verbal conversation.
In the closing shot, the woman is walking slowly down the steps, perhaps still a little winded by her encounter with the mysterious stranger, but accepting that the ride is now finished and it's time to leave.
Listen again and watch her expressions change during different parts of the song and perhaps how the lyrics relate to her and her thoughts in the moment. It seems like a rather simple sequence of events, but there is some A class acting happening here...

Actually what you said is very true as that to what the lead singer of Radiohead said Thom Yorke (the lead singer of the band) said in an interview "The song is about a girl who is coming under stress from anxiety due to a fear of rejection she feels after many times of having been rejected over and over again." (This is what I can remember from reading about the song on Radiohead's wiki page so I don't know if I'm right or not).
