A Safari In The Serengeti: A Magical Experience

There is something so magical about a safari, and even more so when you can experience it in the Serengeti.
We have done quite a few around Africa during our time here (Ruaha in Tanzania and Kruger in South Africa to name a few), but the Serengeti is just so much more special.
There is the Great Migration of hundreds of thousands of zebras and wildebeests. There are changes in terrain that allow for a much more diverse number of animals. Then there is the nostalgic factor of being in the middle of where the Lion King took place.
Looking eye to eye with a lion or watching an elephant mother keep a lookout for her playing child or stare at a leopard chilling in a tree. It is all magical and it all sticks with you.
I just can't get enough of this place. Also, as I mention in the video, a real hidden gem is the Mbalagei Lodge up in the really quiet Western Corridor (see it here: www.mbalageti.com). We live closest to the WC and it is nice to be away from all the other tourists. This is where we stay and again, I can't recommend it enough.
This trip was made even more special by having friends from Norway and Australia visiting. We are always looking for reasons to go back, so come for a visit ;)
