Amazing, i have ridden bikes my entire life starting with a PW50 at 5 years old up to the Honda fireblade. I currently ride an Aprilia Dorsoduro but i would love to add one a mini bike to my garage one day.The only thing is in the UK they are such a niche bike that they actually cost more to own than most full size bikes do. All of my friends ride bikes which are between 500-1600 cc.
Wow born as a rider! Yeah these things gets expensive once you get modding and customizing. These are actually cheap new than used especially the old ones, the new ones are getting Fuel Injections and an 80cc engine. Try riding this there and no one will see you on the road! :D
@@kendelion haha yes, they maybe look weird but I like it, nothing to harm, and the good thing is you can Customize them yourself and I love this feature
People are so creative with the Monkey-bikes in Japan! It's crazy to think that a similarly large community for them exists in Finland too, considering that their importation stopped around 20 years ago.
Monkeys are bought in mind as a custom hobby bike than a commuter since it has a very small engine and size. It's gonna be hard to do this outside japan since exporting this is expensive, even used markets here locally are still asking for a lot
i have a 1993 hoonda monkey z50j finnish model and its an amazing bike and 3 of my friends have a chinese monkey. I like the chinese clone monkeys but they say they have too much electrical problems with them. Im still riding around with my original motor, electrics and everything! Honda really makes great bikes
this mini bikes(my favorite is Gorrila with 4 gears not the monkey version) in Greece starts from 400.000 Japanese Yen, if...you lucky to find one! I know alot of pple having it in the living room and never sell it. This engine has so much history on and is the reason why honda is the company is today. Honda and nothing else! When i come in Japan and i willl one day i must give my restect to the greatest of all: Soichiro Honda
That's so cool! Brand new price is actually cheaper than used ones sometimes because of the mods and customization of the prev owner especially if it's all original and high quality. I also highly respect Honda Soichiro sama, i want to dream like him!
I love the japanese small bikes, pity they aren't popular in the West as they are in Asia, when I went on vacation to Vietnam and Indonesia I saw literally hundred's of those Honda 50cc bikes everywhere, they're so practical and economical!
They are popular here for its ease of use in small spaces. In the US they have too much space and it makes small cars and bikes hard to live with. That's what I think though
@@kendelion Correcto for the most part. We have 35-45 mph speed limits round city streets but course people drive anywhere from 10 under to 50 over at any given time. I ride a monkey 125 for round town errands and being wide open throttle most of the time isn't too bad.
@@kendelion Yea, somewhat common though people are usually 10-20 over on average but without fail I always see at least one person going 40+ and one below the limit within a pack of cars in the radius.
I think it's 16yo before you can get a motorcycle license. It also depends on the school you're in since license centers requires a school consent and parent's consent to get a motorcycle license even for 50cc motors.
And this bike here is what i call: "the most wanted bike ever made from Honda" th-cam.com/video/N0b6e35-NZQ/w-d-xo.html And sadly very sadly Europe dont allows it.

Even in Germany are many fans of the "Bonsai-bikes".
Even the Takegawa crew was there at a meeting. www.royal-enfield-world.de/cms/index.php/monkey-dax-tuning-wartung-umbauten
Ohhh Bonsai bike! I got to see that! Thanks!
what is the price of a monkey bike in Japan ?
In Finland
there's a thrift shop here that has a spiderman themed one for sale.
How about you make an itasha? I'd love to see you hentai wrap your mini!
Not for fools who think this is uncool
