My favorite as a kid was a Honda Monkey but never owned one just admired from a far. Now as an old mid life crisis stage picked up my brand new 2023 Honda Monkey in Banana yellow on 2-25-23 from dealer.
Both Alex and Kase know my passion for this segment. Small wheels are harder to gyro. Your motor is a gyro too. Hard to be smooth when the motor is screaming and the little wheels are spinning fast. For beginners there’s no better way to learn. For advanced riders, no better way to stay sharp. I have been in the smile business for over 35 years. Mini bikes have been a fabulous way to make a living!! Love this video!
👏👏👏 Great job Kase, Alex🙏 .......Looking forward to more POV and maybe Mini moto racing on a TfL track? 🙏 ... Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday ...✌️
I had 2 of the EZ 90s in the 90s and they were very fun bikes. Pretty fast for a small bike. 90cc 2 stroke. My Honda dealer who is now retired still has one that his wife rides.
Appreciate the low down on these iconic bikes but if looking back it started with the Rupp Roadsters, a lack Widow and Scrsmbler. Amazing mini bikes and gateway to the XR series Honda etc
Fascinating, there were so many, these are very cool. We were lucky to have bikes from Europe, Japan and the states during the 60s-70s, there were more than a dozen brands.
Ohhhhh the cub EZ90...... In italy that scooter was a status symbol for 90s early teens. It was a parallel import, and the importer would swap the engines to 50cc so they could be sold as street legal without a license to 14 years old kids. Of course the 90cc was reinstalled immediately after doing the paperwork. Great little bikes.
Who could forget the first maxi scooter the Honda elites, that being the 250cc. It’s futuristic styling, digital dash, and angular lines are right out of the jetsons but it could travel highway speeds and was ultra reliable. Anyways , we can’t have them all right ?
The day I turned 10 in 1980 my Granddad yanked me out of bed at the crack of dawn (I thought it was grass cutting time) . In the driveway a brand new Honda MB5 ! Not sure how it is now, but in 1980 in Bama, anyone could ride a 50cc and below without any kind of license. I ruled the roads among my 10 year old peers on that MB5 !
This and the Motocompo are the two most holy-grail Hondas to obtain, right up there next to the all CHROME anniversary Z, and the "Africa twin" mini z 50 and ever fleeting "body kit" from Japan... I DID think you had a PHYSICAL MODEL to review tho...
You should check out kayo mini gp bikes. They are 150cc and competitive with the ovale. They cost about $3000 new. And are specific for racing and training.
Am I the only one thinking that Honda is really missing out on an entire market with the Motocompo. If they would contact the major motorhome companies to do exactly what they were trying to accomplish with that small car, but with a motorhome. I promise it would be successful. With it taking up the space of a suitcase, and allowing them to enjoy the campsites in their leisure at 80mpg. They could sell a pair for every motor home that is sold. That's my thoughts anyway.
How about the late 60's Fox mini-bike made in Janesville Wisc ! Tecumseh 4hp with 2 speed Comet centrifugal clutch, cable operated disk brakes, full suspension & street legal ! The only thing faster in it's class was the Rupp mini's with variable belt transmission CVT !

Awesome

I wanted a Cub so bad as a kid!
I totally wanna see you guys fall in love with a Honda Helix!

It looks so 80s, early 90s and modern at the same time. I love it 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🤣🔥🔥
I had a cub, electric start, no mixing gas. It accelerated really fast, shocks, really fun.
So many more cool mini bikes that could be added to this list! Kind of surprised you didn't mention the fat cat or BW200, but maybe they're too big.
Thank you Kase and Alex, informational video, like 2Vintange channel, is always a learning moment.

Yes the EZ9 snow cub does exist.😀. Probably worth more per ounce than Gold.

I had a ct70. Best memories driving my ct.
You missed the ct70, z50 and the suzuki rv50/90, predecessor to the VanVan.
They mentioned the Trail 70. Said they have already done a ton of previous videos on the Trail 70 and didn't want this video to be just Hondas.
You have to include the YSR-50 from the 80s. The first mini super bike.

6:07 that's Clap Trap from Borderlands.
I had a Puch 50cc scrambler , deadly.

Great choices but i would have to pick the CT70.

Are you guys familiar with the Tote Gote mini bikes from late 50s thru about 1970 ? Great for a deep dive into the history of mini work machines
Cool tutorial.
The EZ90 design has evolved into Yamaha X1R and Honda Winner/RSX.
Nice 👍🏻

I remember the paint debacle. If a kid is dumb enough to eat a motorcycle they probably shouldn’t be allowed out of the house🙄
Do you know that the EZ 90 goes for anything between $5000-$10.000
Kase mr awesome
I'm sad the new Dax is not coming here ☹
What about the grom killer Kawasaki KSR80
what about the Suzuki TS90.
The French company Frantic Motor had a far better mini chopper than the Suzuki.
No snowblower power and centrifugal clutches.... not city street legal
Rupp and little Indian not on the list?
a
I built the most expensive mini bike in the world let’s make a video!
These are mini motorcycles, no mini bikes
