We've got a rental car for the day and we're bound and determined to see as much of Eleuthera as possible. Caves, Lighthouse, pink sand beaches, farm stand for fresh veggies, it's a JAM PACKED day. Sadly mother nature decided to make things difficult on us but nothings wrong with a little salty along with our sweet!
We hope you enjoy this little road trip through the skinny island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. It's definitely an adventure we won't soon forget. A Huge shout out to Dave for gifting us a car to discover his "slice of paradise". I really wish you could have been there to enjoy with us as I'm sure it would have been more adventure and less misadventure :)

It's always the "worse" situations/adventures we remember with great fondness later in life; maybe because they're our mental trophies of how great we all are to overcome adversities...so we unknowingly (and sometimes knowingly) search for situation to prove it to ourselves and others again and again....thank you for posting everything and not just the "good times".

Hey Niki and Jason, have you seen backpacks that are dry bags? Get a few of those that way if you do accidentally fall in with all your expensive gear it won't be so devastating. Also buoyancy for you as well if its not too heavy. Loved the video and the real life things that just . . . happen. Cheers!

That is a great Video - highlighting how you guys stay so positive no matter what. I really love the moment when Jason says "something good will happen" and thats the essence isn't it - always ups and downs but always an adventure and always something good about to happen. Sorry - I know Im a year behind - binge watching to catch up. There are some really good you tubers out there - but reckon your the best Ive seen so far.

I bet you guys were really happy to get back to the boat that day. And not to be obnoxious or something, but it's good to know that sometimes it rains in paradise... and that the bugs bite... it keeps things interesting for you, and it makes our boring suburban lives seem a bitless beige :)
We have up days & down just like everybody - we just usually have better scenery.

BONUS!!!! awesome!!!!! i was wondering BTW, ive followed you for quite some time. you should do a little clip on which you like better, RV or on the sea. and if they are both pretty equal, maybe a little on what you really miss on land that you cant do on sea, and visa versa, even tho you wouldnt be missing what you do on sea ATM.. love you guys!!

+GonewiththeWynns Nickie, after seeing you guys eating those delicious veggie tacos, I had to make some. Now, I did use hummus on the romaine leaves (instead of yogurt since we are dairy-free) before adding the black bean corn salsa... but man!... were they ever so yummy! My 11yr. old daughter ate 3 veggie tacos! It's great whenever I can get fresh, raw veggies in her. I'm making them again for dinner tonight....can hardly wait. Thanks for the inspiration!

Definitely! Tonight I made the black bean salsa and put it over some hot baked potatoes for my Father... he loved it!

Really awesome shots in the cave! We saw Carlsbad Caverns in NM on a 48 state road trip in 2010, and they were one of the highlights of our trip.
Great video you two. I would not want to be stuck out the in the middle of nowhere running out of gas and have a flat tire.
I'm amazed how the beaches seem to mostly be deserted.

That was some stressful moments.....out in the boonies and no gas stations open, running out of fuel, front L/H tire loosing air and going flat, and now it's getting dark. This string of happenings can cause ones blood to boil and overheat those nearby; we're talking chain reaction time! But no.....our Wynns kept their cool and laughed about the situation. Outstanding! Sorry about the total failure of an apparently throw-away drone. That brand/model needs more electronic R&D and more design engineering on failed parts replacement, to justify its high cost. There is one brand that the four arms fold into the body and becomes about brick sized on W x L. Wondering why you chose the surfboard over the dingy with so much to carry at night and would tend to scare me if winds kicked up waves....but then you two are braver than an old me. Thank you again for another good video!
That paddle board trip back to the boat at night must have been fReAkY ! It looked to be pitch black.
Have fun in the Exuma's. Don't forget to stop at Big Major Cay and see the swimming pigs(pig beach) and then around the corner(literally) is Staniel Cay, where you'll find the Thunderball Grotto. There is a great supermarket in George Town, right at the town dock, and from there you have to go across the bay to Stocking Island, home of the Chat N Chill bar and a great beach on the east side of the island. Love your videos!!!
Great video as always you two. And yeah, to bad that cave isn't protected. Seeing all of that graffiti and damage in there was heart braking.

Of course it was hot in that cave.......you had entered the GATE TO HELL !!!!
LOL, guess that would make sense since that was one of the sprayed painted slogans in that cave. I liked the one where I grew up at, year around, was a constant like 50 degrees in there, always nice and cool.

Agreed. I was blown away when they started to deflate that and then even more impressed by its stability after realizing it wasn't a solid board.
Going back to the boat on the board at night must of been a bit nerve racking.
Thank you for explaining at the end of the video about where you are. I had seen the map before but I did not know that it was so much more accurate and just how far-out the videos are to where you are.
The absolute best thing for No-See-ems is Avon Skin so soft, not sure why but they hate it! and a side benefit soft skin!
Yes it is, just ask any AT hiker and they will tell you the same.
Ha you are right about Skin So Soft! I used to use it on my horse before riding in the woods to keep the flying teeth away.

I enjoyed your misadventures. Many thanks for sharing. You could try a Sevylor pump (pumps to 15 psi, available on Amazon) which plugs into a car cigarette lighter. So much easier than pumping up a SUP by hand.
amazing you are like my wife when she makes a lettuce wrap its so appeting and no mess when she eats it. when I make it its a mess and the hot sauce goes to my shirt

who would have thought, a " secret supermarket" and cheaper ( a bit), local knowledge paid off.

I love your videos, and have been watching from your RV days. A hint about no-see-ums. (in case others have not already shared this). I've been boating and crusing the mid-eastcoast for decades. I've been to the Bahamas and Cuba, and have experienced no-see-ums in all these places; especially in eastern North Carolina's Cape Lookout, Wrightsville Beach, and Ocracoke Island. I have had great success with a mixture of Avon Skin-so-Soft body oil, and rubbing alcohol; abouta 50-50 mix. (I am NOT and Avon salesperson, and I have no financial interest in Avon). For us, the no-see-ums dissappear once we rub on the Avon/alcohol mix. I have even sprayed it on the boats port screens with success, to keep them out of the cabin. I've had people tell me it does not work. I'll agree it does nothing to deter mosquitos, but it has eliminated the no-see-um problems we used to encounter. For the guys, you may not like how you smell, but you will not be eaten alive like the no-see-ums are well known for.
i had a dji phantom and it stopped working like yours did after doing a firmware
bought the DJi mavic 3 months ago and LOVE It!!
absoultely no problems...fly it over water every night...live on gulf coast of florida
Mavic is worth every penny and 4k pic video quality is the bomb
for an extra 100 bucks they will replace for whole year

"An Escapade of Misadventures", perfect title for the video. Also maybe, "A lot of what not to do's" when travelling :) Good thing that the water was not too choppy. I'm glad that you made it safely back to your boat after being fully packed, extremely top-heavy, and paddling in the dark drizzling evening on a tipsy paddle board :) What was your safety contingency plan if you tipped over wearing the heavy packs while paddle boarding in the dark? That was definitely an adventure, but one that could have had a very different ending. Please stay safe and thanks for sharing.

Pesky No see um bug solution: get some Absorbin Junior roll on and dab it 3 spots under the bill of a baseball cap and one or twice on the back of the cap. That will keep them away for 2 hours. I have no idea why it works but it does.
forget that crazy business of going out onto the water in a pitch black. seems terrifying.
