I rarely see convex edge knives reviewed by "bushcrafter" channels (people in the Gauntlet for example). Maybe it's because not many companies make convex edge blades. They are excellent at batonning, featherstick making, etc., and the edge is the strongest grind for edge retention and hard use. Thanks for showing this. Bark River also has top notch leather sheath's.
+csh 62 Simple. It's a bias based on accepting what "experts" say on blind faith. Hey I've been there. All I wanted to use was scandi for a long long time because that is what all the experts on the internet said. Then I got my hands on a BR Aurora a couple years ago. At first I didn't like it. Then I gave it a fair and unbiased try. Mind Blown. If all goes as planned, the Bravo 1 will be shown off next week. Time for some Bark River Bushcraft :) You are correct, their sheaths are rockin!! Thanks!
Howdy Chad! Thank you Sir, I enjoyed conversation a lot! I am looking at trying to get a get together setup for this fall (probably upstate SC). If I can arrange it, I hope to see you there.
Great little knife. I have an Elmax Gunny with pearl Kironite scales. I didn't spell that correctly, but it's counter top material. Be blessed my friend. John
Feral Woodcraft did you get another sheath? I know dlt has a kydex. I was looking at this for a neck knife. Not sure if it is too large for that. I'm 6' 230lbs if that matters

Joe, you do Very Good Videos! You don't Ramble too much and your filming quality is Very Good also. I really enjoy your videos! That Knife is as Beautiful as it is BadAzz! Thanks Much!
I haven't used the 2 so I can't really offer an opinion based on any experience, sorry. For me personally, now that there is a #3 coming out, I'd go with the 1 or the 3 but that is just me (and I haven't used the 3 either so take that with a grain of salt.) Sorry I couldn't be more helpful
Another great video brother. Awesome way to show the versatility and capability of this knife as an EDC. With the size of it, I would consider using it as a bushcraft necker. I currently use a Jeff White Sloyd Knife for that. But this Bark River might be it's replacement. Thanks for making me think about spending another $200 on a sweet knife.
+papaschuette It would definitely shine in that department. I fully plan on getting a second sheath so I am not locked into carrying it on that Denali. Oh, and what are friends for? We are to encourage each other in our knife addic....er...collections.
great video! I like small fixed blades as a nice edc, I personally carry a schrade mini pro hunter and was curious if you've thought about doing a video on it or its bigger brother?
+Melusine Centun (Melusine101) I wondered who was going to ask that. For a smaller EDC the Adventurer's handle is more comfortable in my opinion but the added size of the EDC Bravo brings a lot to the table as well. It really all depends on what I plan to do with it. For normal everyday life, I'd probably pick the adventurer. For in the woods, the EDC Bravo. But that said, if I HAVE to pick just one, it'd be the EDC Bravo. I hope that's not too confusing.
Feral Woodcraft It's perfectly clear! By the way, I was very surprised when you said the edge holding as between O1 and A2 - Elmax is a very hard steel, it should hold a much better edge than A2, if it does not, it means there is something wrong with the heat treat.
Excellent video sir, Looks like a wonderful knife, and great in depth review. Since it is about a year old, how do you like this pair still, you really bragged on the American Denali, so curious if you are still loving it and since you obviously get your hands on a lot of knives, is the Denali still one of your favorites. Thanks again and have a blessed week.
Seems like a great little knife. Not sure I'd want to use mine for automotive work though. Seems like it did the job though. =D Thanks for the video brother
+Eat Carbs LOL I know. But hey, when you review so many knives, repeated tasks can get boring. Just trying to liven it up. And in reality, I would have done that off camera too. Thanks Mark!
On paper, yes. And I am sure it does in reality as well. However perceptions can be hard to define with daily activities vary. As I said, it was my guess or perception. Thanks!
So in your state, what is the blade length limit for a fixed blade knife that you can carry on your waist? Does that include state parks? Why we as citizens continue to allow any say in this matter at all is beyond me. Here in CA, the state laws aren't too bad; it's the local laws that get a little lame.
+Budding Survivalist Yeah, a lot of it is the local laws here too. The main problem is that many of the laws are written so subjectivily that it's up to how the LEO wants to interpret them. In the state of NC it is technically legal to carry openly anything but a sword. However, once you get into local laws and bring in the "frightening the public" charges that cops like to slap people with, one has to be really careful. Anyway, the legality I mention is the pocketing the knife where 3.5 is the limit. I agree with your comments 100%. The answer to your question is simple (at least in my opinion). You and I are now the minority. We have very little power to affect change anymore, unfortunately.
Yes, those "rubber" laws are ludicrous. In a lot of places, a LEO can simply take your completely legal knife if it looks "scary" or they "feel" in danger by the way it looks. Yes, you can get it back at the station, but what a hassle.. Thank God I have yet to be the victim of such nonsense. But many have. That's why I don't carry my "Lansky World Legal" knife when I go into the city. Because even though it is definitely legal in virtually any city around the country and world, it "looks" scary. So I end up just switching it out for my Sun Fish style knife which "looks" like an old man knife.
Thanks for another great video! I don't know what it is really, but I just can't bring myself to buy a BR knife. I've got a couple of GSOs for users, & I've got full customs with Elmax, CPM S90V, etc. & fancy pants scales for my collector knives...and there's something about all of the negative whispers out there about BR, & then the fact that they seem to produce roughly 999,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 knives per day at Bark River....mind you, that's an estimate on my part based on what I see available out there in the magical knife kingdom....something, or maybe several things, turn me off when it comes to BR knives. And now that I'm 40, it's much easier to turn me off than on. Well, let's see; I've covered other knives I like better than yours, my sexual impotency...ya, I think I've covered all of the main points I was shooting for today - really though, I'm a big, albeit, new fan. I've got a stressful, demanding job, & I find that when I watch a video or two of yours before I drive home after work, I yell at my kids less & compliment my wife more, so we all thank you!
+scott sherman First off Scott, thank you for the kind words and sharing that. I am glad I could inadvertently help out. Secondly. I know exactly what you're saying about the rumbles and rumors about BR and I don't know why they are there. All I can say is if you get a chance to try one out, I really suggest it. I own 8 of their work and quality and construction are solid. They do put out a lot of blades though don't they? lol Thanks again and 3 points for the days most humor filled comment lol
Great video I just ordered 1 can’t wait for it to come in thanks
Glad I found your channel. Nice review. Love the real world stuff.
Great knife company! Thanks for the share!
+guns4funcajanajustin I agree. Very good to work with and their warrantee is 2nd to none.

+Gary Lawson It really is.
Beautiful knife
I've been looking at some Bark River knives. definitely going to get one eventually. thanks for the review
+Scott Reece They have so many choices it certainly is hard to choose which one)s). Thanks Scott!
Great demo !
+Chris Stone Thanks for watching Chris!
Great video Joe. I think I need one of these!
+BlackChrome84 lol if you end up with one, let me know how it fits you! Thanks!
Nice knife. Can you do a video of how you sharpen your convex grind knives?
+TraditionalBlackPowder Sure, I'd be happy to. Give me a week or so and I'll put something together.
+Feral Woodcraft Thanks, looking forward to it.

Great video
Bel video,complimenti Bravo edc.👍👍👍
I forgot to mention that I love their grind. It has strength of a saber grind as well as the wood cutting of a Scandi.... Stronger edge to boot. John
+snaponjohn100 I agree 100% with your comments. Thanks John!
Great Video.
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
great video! Thanks for sharing! Rambling enjoyed.
Great video man was great to meet you at bladeshow we talked for while I'm form nc

+snaponjohn100 Those are beautiful scales!
A perfect EDC I say!
+TJack Survival Agreed. I need to gat another sheath for it so I can move it back and forth between my belt and the denali. Thanks T!

+James White Thank you James, I appreciate your comments greatly.
Hey Joe, I'm a little torn between this and an Adventurer 2. How would you compare them?
I haven't used the 2 so I can't really offer an opinion based on any experience, sorry. For me personally, now that there is a #3 coming out, I'd go with the 1 or the 3 but that is just me (and I haven't used the 3 either so take that with a grain of salt.) Sorry I couldn't be more helpful
Great video! looks like a sharp woodcarving little beast! :))
+Wood Mite Stove Company That it is, I just don't have the artistic skill to show it off. Thanks!

We need a cooking segment!
+Lellobeetle LOL I'll try and squeeze one in soon. I will definitely have one next week as I have another stove to show off. Thanks!
Feral Woodcraft I love stoves. Always love your cooking videos. Don't get me wrong. The knife was awesome. Wish I had that kind of $$.
Hello, nice review! Can you please say - does this red micarta get dirty after year of usage?
great video! I like small fixed blades as a nice edc, I personally carry a schrade mini pro hunter and was curious if you've thought about doing a video on it or its bigger brother?
Let me look into those and I'll see what I can do. Thanks Brian!
Hey Joe! Looks like a great knife. Which one do you prefer between this and the Adventurer? Take care, iRène.

great video! I've watched this more than a couple times. how is the bravo EDC holding up one year on?
wish they made the danali in 3v
+Charles Murphy All the 3V blades I have perform really well and I imagine the 3v would as well. Good thought!
+Feral Woodcraft if they made it in CPM3V I would buy it in a heartbeat ,even sell one of my favorite guns to get one. :-)
+Feralwoodcraft you did a great job I thought. as ways goof program material and informative.
+Wood Mite Stove Company Thanks bud, I appreciate it.
what state do u live in, seattle?
North Carolina.
*HIM:* These knives are exactly the same except for the size.
*ME:* One is rampless and one has a ramp.
I think he was talking about the handles.
Nice video:-)

Can't stand when people leave food outside then have an issue when an animal gets into it, what do you think would happen? Just put the food inside.
good*
