As a married man who is between both of you're ages, I think you are both so beautiful, women, and I thank you for this look into your minds. You are both so smart and funny.
Thank you, ladies, for a session that includes more wisdom and psychological insights than a year of therapy. It is a superb example of the old saying: "When all else fails, ask someone who actually knows what they are talking about." Thanks!
Thank you Katee and Paulina! This was just what I needed. I lost my late husband a decade ago and sometimes it feels like just yesterday. Wishing you ladies the best life has to offer
Oh, I'm looking forward to this. Paulina Porizkova seems like a remarkable person, Never would have expected her to show up on your channel, so that is a nice surprise.
I've adored Ms. Porizkova ever since I saw her interviewed at the height of her career and she was asked what she did to stay in shape and she answered, "Play Nintendo." It was a funny, unexpected response, but it also highlighted her delightful honesty, which always comes through in her writing and conversations like this. If you haven't read her book and are curious after watching this, I highly recommend it. If you like her here, she's EXACTLY the same in print/audio.
I can say without any exaggeration, there are few people I genuinely admire. Paulina however, is the exception. Thank you for this wonderful interview. Paulina is a treasure ♥️♥️♥️♥️
A lot of men try to be publicly vulnerable but a lot of men don’t find support. Not from their families not from their friends not even from their parents sometimes. It’s getting better but slowly.
I'm not familiar with Paulina and only started the video because I watch all your interviews. Paulinas interview is a great reason that I do, what a wonderfully inspiring person. Just love the way that you draw more out of people without it feeling clinical or that you are just painting by numbers. Fantastic discussion!
@Katee Sackhoff When this fascinating conversation with Paulina ended, I was so sad as I wanted to hear more😞. Can you please have another conversation with her 🙏🤗. I am around Paulina's age and like her lost a partner, suddenly and tragically, which took me 20 years to get over. I am also the one who doesn't ask for help, is capable, strong and has the good girl syndrome. I could relate to this conversation so much. I have always looked up to Paulina who embodies what it truly means to be one's authentic self. And I love that she is so into Star Trek 🖖
Another awesome episode. Being around the same age I have noted Paulina at various times. Loved the sharing of the last decade or so. Having gone through my own life events I could easily sympathize with the good times and the difficult times. Appreciate Paulina's openness and the courage it takes let others. Not surprised with The friendship these two share. Nor the fact of Paulina's interview on the Sackhoff Show.
Thank you so much for another wonderful episode - I can so relate to the 'good child syndrome' - discovering this at 53............and the hindsight was spot on as always. So true, we might not be able to change the world, but we can make it slightly better for the people we come in contact with. The Sackhoff Show is the one show I have to see every week 🥰 Really looking forward to the Christmas episode! Cya next Tuesday :D
Unexpected, but I'm glad to be watching this. I would tell Paulina a couple of things. First: big crush since the hair cut scene in Her Alibi. After my wife and I got married in '96, I needed a hair cut. Couldn't find anywhere to do it. My wife said "I'll do it!" And she cut my hair until 2020. It was such a gift. Especially after having kids and I would still get that selfish "me time" with that kind of focused attention from my beautiful wife. Lets face it, the point was it's not "just" a haircut, that's why it was such a great scene in the movie. Second, I'd share that I lost my wife in 11/2020 just after she turned 50. Unexpectedly and suddenly. Hugging one minute and 20 minutes later getting a call that she was having a stroke at the gym. I'm still dealing with it, poorly. I worry that grieving can turn into a lifestyle of grieving and that's probably not a great thing. From my perspective, I'm not surrounded by many people. I know I have family and friends that care , but there's anxiety about being "that guy" and driving the few people I have away by going into the depths of what's going on. I also don't want to introduce the fear into others. There's a lot going on here that isn't so obvious: love of my life, her denied future, the kids, my identity change and other details. The fact is, of every good couple, one of the people is going to go through this and it makes me sick worrying about them. I don't want to introduce that to others and have that associated with me bringing that on. Ignorance is bliss and I feel I need to protect that in others. So, I go on, not seen, not heard but trying to contain the damage. Our kids are doing well is the main thing. Regardless, I'm enjoying the episode (still watching) but I thought I'd share a memory. I do that when I can. I had to learn to cut my own hair btw. After 24 years, I couldn't have some stranger doing that. So glad to see Paulina and I wish both of you all the best. (Sorry to ramble on like that) Related note for Katee: one night my wife out of the blue, looked up and said "I think we should watch Battlestar Galactica". We'd just seen you in something else. A dream come true. Yeah, that was a good one. And yeah, we watched it--mini-series, show, movies and all. She was a fan. 🙂
Not familiar with your guest at all. What a special human being ❤. I’m overjoyed about the show next week. The Hindsight is my favorite part of the show ( love the rest as well ) I’m spending the holidays by myself and I’m sure this show will be the best Christmas 🎄 gift 🎁 I’ll get this year 🙏
OMG! your conversation about men that are 60 dating women than are 40 or younger so on point!!! I'm 58 and I had started to date a man that was 64 earlier this year. HIs last girlfriend was 45. I've been on dating apps and yes, women like us in our late 50's are competing with women in their 30's and 40's for men in their 60's. That is just wrong. I'm not sure I want an old man in his 60's and I'm only 2 years away. And I've had no work done. I take care of myself and thanks to that and good genes, look pretty good. But it's frustrating.
rich and powerful men in their 60s are dating much younger women. some older women do the same, but not at the same extent though. that's wealthy privilege for you.
Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow morning for this extraordinary interview. ❤
please bring back dark matter and or help me get into the biz

Amen on others believe on my looks,
Thanks for the more positive turn, about men, near the end. It got a little sexist in the middle there. Glad to watch this one though.
Thank you.

Oh yes.. Friend of P.
Sad facts is that Gen X is much smaller than the Baby Boomer or the Millenial generations. We're sandwiched...
