Freed Conn R1 Plus wind noise

got this helmet cam a few years ago.. did not use it much. I didn't like all the wind noise it has while recording.
I figured a way to fix it.
FEED CONN are you listening? the helmet cam needs a external microphone jack for the CAMERA.
I have the R1 Plus and a R1 Pro, both have the same problem. the internal mic picks up too much wind noise.

Thank you! I’m going to try this with my r1 pro. I had the r1 plus before and liked the camera but hated the wind noise from the mic

Nice. I took the six screws out but it won't come apart any ideas?

did you pop off the volume knob and remove the screw under there?( on the outer side)

Hi. Yep that worked, many thanks for the help. Was that 104 in 4th?

​@ratdogfink167 it was 104mph in 4th going into 5th. I've had it up to 124mph,, but that was before I removed the secondary throttlebody butterfly valves. I'm not sure how fast it will go now.

​@@ratdogfink167 cool, I forgot to say if you use this idea,, tie the mic cord up somehow.. like to the chinstrap of your helmet or something.

Yeah... camera mic is a big letdown.. total rubbish.. good mod though.
