I liked this show as a child so I'm definitely picking it up eventually. It's a shame though that they didn't include the Batman vs Dracula movie that was part of the series
As I was covering in this video: It’s simply because they most likely have plans to release it separately as a Warner archive remastered Blu Ray release. But I agree I love to have everything together, but at least in this case with this The Batman show this is still an outstanding Blu Ray release & looks great in this new remastered Blu Ray set.
Loved the cutting edge tech Batman used in this show. Feel like this show could release today and wouldn't look outdated. Definitely going to pick it up
Yah I agree, it holds up extremely well even today, because at the time it was very advanced in animation & CGI blending for a TV series. Also now that it has the full uncut show & we can see 50% more of the image it looks very epic & adds a lot to the cool factor for this great batman series. I always felt his bat mobile had a very TRON look & I really like it. 👍
It’s a shame that there’s no U.K. release for this like they did with TAS, Beyond and Superman TAS, but thank you so much for saying that this release is region free! I do have a region free player but it’s so much easier when a release is region free, so thank you for highlighting that in this review, subscribed! Thanks for the review, it sounds just as good as the Teen Titans Blu Ray which had a really nice upscale in widescreen. And thank god these DC Blu Rays are region free, hate region locking. The only shame is they left out Batman vs Dracula which makes so little sense since there is the HD version on Prime so it's upscaled, and they could have included it. If the Teen Titans Blu Ray can include Trouble in Tokyo then so can this.
I got the DVDs for my son years ago. Both of us enjoyed watching it especially with Tom Kenney from Spongebob voicing the Penguin. Ron Perlman voiced Croc as well. I will be getting this after your stellar recommendation.

Tom Kenney was replaced by someone else. I'm really looking forward to this set. Not sure when I will go to see The Batman in IMAX. I was fortunate enough to see The Dark Knight in IMAX back in 2008. Excellent knowing your kids enjoyed the Spongebob factoid. My son loved it as well when he found out. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks I appreciate your great comments, I agree with you that this show is very under appreciated & under rated. It’s very dark at times & has some stellar storytelling & the animation is top notch. Also now that it’s fully remastered in this gorgeous Blu ray set it truly looks outstanding & is a truly exciting & modern Batman tv series now.
This series is amazing!! BD look good and the score is awesome too. Only thing apparent is the compression, in many scenes, you clearly see compression. If eventually they release a 4K release, I'll buy it for sure. The disk I watch are from my local library and I'm happy to discover this show, I wasn't aware of it.
I enjoyed this series design`s by comics artist Jeff Matsuda. I may have to give this a whirl as I`m enjoying the screen caps with the brighter, crisper colors. The Batman Vs. Dracula movie I own as part of a set 2 disc set that also contains " The Batma/ Superman Movie ( World's Finest)
Yes Jeff Matsuda art design & style for this series is really great & looks awesome now that we can see 50% more of the show fully uncut. It’s crazy to think how much was cut off of the image & has now been remastered & restored, it was a really great surprise when I started working on this review to see all that was done. Also hopefully they release the Batman bs Dracula movie on Blu ray later on from Warner Archive, I would assume if this set sells good enough they will release it separately later on like they have done with several other Batman animated series spin-off movies.
I’m in the uk and have been debating importing this due to price and hope of a uk release like the rest of the dc animated blu rays, but i think i will cave in and get it as i do love this series. Shame about Dracula but not a must and the fact the us versions always so come with digital versions too is a bonus.

I picked it up as soon as I could because I had just finished binging the show on HBO Max a few months ago and was super moved to get the blu ray once I heard it announced last year.
6:30 Wait a sec! Is that Elisa Maza from Gargoyles?! JK. I know it's not, but they seem to have tried pretty hard to make her look the part. I think maybe the reason why a lot of people skipped this series was because of "Batman Beyond." That show was good, but very much secondary to the original "Batman animated series." "The Batman" seemed to share some stylistic similarities with certain parts of "Beyond," most notably the look of the Joker and this sort of angular look to all the characters. Plus, there's the whole sentiment of, "not *another* batman series!" I think all of that in combination may have put a lot of people off of the 2004 show, and it's a shame, really.
I have a c1 oled and I’m going to buy the ub 820 in a week. Also I use to watch the Batman show when I was a kid on saturdays and I bought the iTunes digital version. However, I already ordered this remaster so I can see it on my oled lol I loved this show as a kid on Saturdays, thanks!
It looks pretty great when upscaled with the Panasonic UB828 on a good 4K TV, man do the colors, sharp & crisp animation style really POP! It’s really crazy how much different the show feels watching it in this new remastered Blu Ray set because of it having roughly 50% more of the image of the show to see & watch now. It’s really great to see how epic this show was intended to be and holds up so well now!
@@moisesandruffles yes, the only thing is that digital always doesn’t have as high a bit rate & are slightly compressed images on digital services , so therefore the best image quality is the Blu ray discs by far.
Yes Superman TAS is remastered also on Blu Ray, though because it’s a bit older than this The Batman show was Superman doesn’t look quite as clean, but still looks very good on Blu Ray & is a great upgrade. Normally I would agree with on most Deluxe editions, but in the case of Batman TAS deluxe edition & Batman Beyond I really do not like the packaging. Especially the book type case for BTAS, I absolutely hate it and it’s so tight getting the discs out that they get scratched & the book has gotten ripped while desperately trying to be soo careful removing a disc to watch it lol!!!! 🤣 I really did not like the Deluxe editions, so I am very happy with this release & especially the case that this New The Batman Blu Ray set came in, sooooo much easier to actually use lol!!! 😆 But otherwise I love Arrows Limited Edition releases & that’s how a Deluxe or Limited Edition set should be released.

I assume The Batman vs Dracula will be a separate DVD. I wonder if this means they may get the voice actors back for a future The Batman movie. Perhaps the cancelled sequel that was planned, "The Batman vs Hush".
In this video I talk about what most likely Warners plans are on The Batman vs Dracula movie remastered on Blu Ray, they have done the same thing before with previous Batman animated movie releases through Warner Archive. So as long as this The Batman series Blu ray sells well enough we should see it released separately.
Hello James, have you heard of any fact or rumours when WB/DC will release “Batman Vs Dracula” I was disappointed that they didn’t include the movie with the series as 1 complete package.
I love the animation style especially the joker in this as a crazed, insane maniac & how they show so much more of the maniac side of some of the villains in this series. While they also tried new things while making it much more adult oriented then some of the previous Batman stories & series. It altogether felt fresh & new while expanding on the Batman Universe in all new ways! The chiseled look of the animation really adds to the cool 😎 factor in this series too! Hope this helps you! As I was explaining in this review it similar to what WB has done with some other animated TV series on Blu Ray they will be most likely releasing it as a stand alone Warner Archive Remastered Blu Ray release later on. It’s simply a way for the studio to make little extra money off of the interest in Batman currently & doesn’t really change how amazing this current The Batman Blu Ray set is to own & how huge of an upgrade this is. Sorry you feel that way because missing out on this amazing Batman series in this great new remaster is a shame & you’re missing out all because they are most likely going to release the movie separately hmmm 🤨 But it’s always everyone’s choice, just seems like a very silly reason to not get to enjoy this amazing release, also with the expanded image released for the first time ever on Blu Ray makes this The Batman series look simply stellar 🤩 I just feel life’s too short to nit pick on insignificant things that don’t matter & to not enjoy TV series for silly reasons. But to each their own I guess👍 I am just glad my kids & I get to enjoy watching this outstanding Blu Ray release & are not missing out!

While they also tried new things while making it much more adult oriented then some of the previous Batman stories & series. It altogether felt fresh & new while expanding on the Batman Universe in all new ways! The chiseled look of the animation really adds to the cool 😎 factor in this series too!

Not including Batman vs Dracula is as baffling as the BTAS set not having Mystery of the Batwoman
As I was explaining in this review it similar to what WB has done with some other animated TV series on Blu Ray they will be most likely releasing it as a stand alone Warner Archive Remastered Blu Ray release later on. It’s simply a way for the studio to make little extra money off of the interest in Batman currently & doesn’t really change how amazing this current The Batman Blu Ray set is to own & how huge of an upgrade this is. I think it's because Mystery of the Batwomam is considered non-canon. Same with Brainiac Attacks apparently.
Ironically it's because they didn't include the Dracula movie, that I'm refraining from buying it.
Same. The previous blu ray sets all included the movies (save for BTAS not having Mystery of the Batwoman). Not sure why it’s omitted.
Sorry you feel that way because missing out on this amazing Batman series in this great new remaster is a shame & you’re missing out all because they are most likely going to release the movie separately hmmm 🤨
But it’s always everyone’s choice, just seems like a very silly reason to not get to enjoy this amazing release, also with the expanded image released for the first time ever on Blu Ray makes this The Batman series look simply stellar 🤩
I just feel life’s too short to nit pick on insignificant things that don’t matter & to not enjoy TV series for silly reasons.
But to each their own I guess👍
