  • Here are the steps needed to install our fuel gauge for the Indian Scout Bobber.
    Installing the Hemisphere Performance Indian Scout Bobber Fuel Gauge kit is very easy with only a few main steps:
    1. Drain and remove the tank
    2. Remove the fuel pump
    3. Drill one hole in the fuel pump flange, and install the fuel line bung. Or, use our optional ready-to-install fuel pump assembly
    4. Splice 2 power wires from our kit into a keyed power source like the license plate light
    5. Tuck our sensor assembly behind the ignition cover plate
    6. Route your cables and small controller box to the front of the bike, replace the tank
    7. Slip on the fuel gauge bezel, connect the controller connector
    8. Fill the tank with as much gas as you want in there when the gauge reads "empty".
    9. Plug in the calibrator module. Turn on ignition to "accessory" position. Press "E" calibrate button. Add gas to fill the tank. Press the "F" calibrate button. Disconnect the calibrator module.
    10. Done.

    Great video, def learned from this 😃
    you just hurt my feelings when the tank was placed upside down on that bench with no protection 😅

      We didn't feel bad....you didn't see the big honkin' dent on the top side from the previous owner's lowside tank slap. :) We have another tank that was recently powdercoated to match our sidecar (also gray), that will eventually find its way onto our test bike later.

    Great detailed video instructions, I’m talking one of the best for the Indian Scout out there. Would love to do it, but I think it’s just much easier to remember when to fuel up. I’ve added most of the OEM add ons, but going to pass on this one. A+ for effort!

      @@slaytanic921They made a dual bezel that would hold the tach and the fuel gauge (one on either side of the main instrument cluster). But I'm not sure they make the fuel gauge any longer.

    • @hemisphereperformance
      @hemisphereperformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is some flexibility in how to dress and manage the slack, it could be moved back and tucked under the tank and seat more than what is shown. We are spoiled by the nacelle on the Twenty.

    500$????!!!!!!🤬mark up for Indian after market is crazy I would pay 300 at the most. Come down on the price and I'll buy.

    • @hemisphereperformance
      @hemisphereperformance  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well, that's fair enough, everyone has a desire and price point in mind. We need to make back the significant investment we've made here, and note that we are CNC machining the bezel from a block of 6061 aluminum which, by itself is not cheap to do. Plus the other components. Sorry we can't meet your price point on this, but we hope to earn your business with our other products.

      @DonMachado 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@hemisphereperformanceYou'll make your money back faster if you lower the price since a lot more people could afford to buy it.

    Gauge overpriced, should match the OEM backlight and black bazel , this one doesn’t look good. But those things should come out of the box really

  • @jlee111776
    @jlee111776 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It's too expensive. I understand your need to get your money back... but honestly... it's cheaper to remember that the bike only gets 110 miles to a tank of gas... the look isn't worth the price point.
