We purchased an Interstate trailer a few months ago and converting it to a toy/camper. So I noticed your door was familiar before I saw yours was an interstate. Your lock kit should have come with a striker plate .

Every handle install on TH-cam demonstrates what a pain is this installation. Do not forget to either remove the original latch or lock it open. Otherwise some smart ass can still lock you in.

It really was a pain but a learning experience at the end of the day. I think we are going with the lock it open route. Thanks for the reminder
