You’re gonna love it, i came from marantz 7015 was using it as pre with emotiva amps and went to avm70. Out the box with no arc, the separation and dynamics of this bad boy was amazing.
Sweet. Yeah, with no cal as soon I fired this up I thought I heard something more than before. And that was just with the zone2 music playback, not even the main zone. My theater right now with the Anthem, the Focal 1000, and the Parasound, plus the Arendal is just a delight. :)
I'm jealous you can walk in and buy that processor with ease! I've been on multiple waiting list for months and still don't have it. It's almost as bad as trying to buy a PS5. I'm very close to ordering an AVM70. One little thing that is annoying me though and maybe I'm nitpicking, but they really went cheap on those connectors on the back.
Seems OK to me. One thing I *love* about the back panel is the black/white color coding for inputs and outputs. Makes it a lot easier to see in a dark rack.
I know this is a 2 year old video but now in 2024 is this device updated to 2.1 Another question is what are some good xlr cables for this device and for the subwoofer

Great choice. How are you liking it so far? Can’t go wrong with Anthem. I once owned their AVM50V but I bought a Marantz for Atmos as a temporary unit until I eventually get this model. Wanted Atmos but Anthem didn’t have that feature at the time.
I really like it. I've been learning more advanced and finer points of using ARC (and still learning), but I'm very happy with the Anthem in terms of operation and performance.
I’m definitely interested in hearing about your experiences with the AVM-70 and how it integrates with Control4. I’m in a similar situation considering the AudioControl X7, AVM-70 and HTP-1. Curious how it stacks up against the Trinnov in your setup too!
I'm also in same situation. I have the avm60. Thinking of avm70 or 90, x7 and htp 1. Can't seem to find much on which is the best. I've heard Dirac is fantastic, but haven't experienced it compared to arc. Genesis did not do great with my subs. Rew fixed it.
Trinnov is excellent. It’s the pinnacle for sure. Anthem is pretty amazing stuff though too and at a fraction of the price (although still $$$ itself). If you have the budget and want it, go for the Trinnov.
I demo’ed a Trinnov for a bit but my whole room is very different with the Anthem it was before. So I cannot honestly give that assessment. I think Anthem is awesome though and a huge value. If I had money to spend on a Trinnov for my room, I think I’d buy an AVM 90 and spend the rest on something else. Trinnov is sure sweet to though, and if you have the $$$, then enjoy it!

I don't think my setup needs a Trinnov to have really great sound. My system is 7.2.4 and won't change much from that fairly standard config. Maybe I could add more subs, but I wouldn't add more speakers. They just really won't fit anywhere. I also have only the one row of seats so optimizing for a relatively smallish sweet spot/area isn't deeply complex for a good correction algorithm. I also wanted to take advantage of multizone with my preamp and the Trinnov doesn't excel in that use case. I just don't think I need it, honestly. For something costing that much I would have to feel I really need or am getting some maximum value out of it to justify the cost. If I were to spend more money into my home theater, it's going to be on an JVC NZ9. That would have far more impact and value for the money than I think a Trinnov would versus what the Anthem appears so far to achieve. Money no consideration, sure I'd buy the Trinnov or a Storm. :) But I don't think I have the justification for it along with a handful of other upgrades I'd rather do now and in the shorter term.
@@Techthusiasm totally understand. I was thinking maybe the sound detail or depression would be far better than our current set ups but maybe not ? I have nx7. The jvc projectors r amazing with their black levels. U won’t be disappointed
I'm sure a Trinnov in my room that was setup and optimized properly with the right hands and experience would be insane and allow configuration to an Nth degree beyond the Anthem. IMO though, I don't think the result can be that much better that it's worth nearly 5x the price, especially when my room is treated, symmetrical, only 7.2.4, and just the one row. I have an NX7 now. Love it. Been using that since they launched. I could take advantage of a lot of what the NZ series offers, especially the NZ9. We'll see. I might have opportunity to demo/review one coming up for the channel so I should get to try it without having to buy it.
I heard U say Parasound. I have the a21+ for my music listening and a52+ for my home theater. But I know that I'm going to need another amp. R U really happy with your decision? I'm really thinking about the Anthem. But it's just getting harder to decide which AV processor to get.

I'd imagine the 1140 and the AVM70 are pretty close. Close enough that if the 1140 works better for your setup, I would happily recommend it. You can always run surround and height speakers with the 1140 and get an amp for your mains.
@@Techthusiasm i have focal aria 948 pack and im thinking thats is better if i buy the mrx 1140 and an used good stereo integrated amp like the musical fidelity nuvista 800 for LR speakers and maybe monobloc emotiva amp for the center do you think it is a good idea and thanks brother
I think that would be fantastic. I don’t think you need a stereo integrated amp though. Just use the 1140 as your processor for everything and get a nice 3 channel amp for the LCR. You could stay Anthem and get a 3 channel MCA. You’ll be set.

So far so good. The driver is nice and seems very capable.

Unfortunately, Anthem dealers can't ship so you're stuck with what you can get locally.
