I have a lot of TP-Link Kasa stuff, a lot, and I am very happy with it and the app is great, I even have the dimmer switch controlling my chandelier, just installed one in my sauna room so I can turn the light off when I go in and on when I come out. I have now started to put in some Lutron Caseta stuff and that's great too. What's funny is I am in Michigan which is cold as hell and use one of the plugs to control my Christmas lights and it's done it now for two years just fine, thought for sure the cold would kill it.
Fun fact after monitoring things for some time now, your lights and whatnot aren't running up your bill, it's your furnace and AC, fridge, washer and dryer, dishwasher, stove and oven. For example, I could run my chandelier at full power for 24 hours straight and it would cost me 11 cents, my outdoor garage lights probably cost me about 6 cents a day and they are on from 6 pm to 7 am.

what I am still unclear about: my devices are using either 2.4 of 5 g band. Will they work with wifi 6e or would I have to replace them all? and are those devices that can use 6e even be available to buy?

Hey Josh, I see Tp-link have just updated their Tapo android app and it now shows all Tp-link devices. I'd be interested to hear your impression and the benefits of the Tapo vs Kasa apps
