Hurray for you and Peter! It looked like a beautiful day for flying and it also looked like some other folks on the beach were groovin' on your kites. I've found that more people pay attention to our kites than we might think. You gentlemen are inspiring a lot of people!
We do get a bit of attention sometimes, Richard, which makes the flying more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we rarely see other people flying kites except on our annual Kite Day, when hundreds turn up and are not seen again until the following year.
Wonderful display!... really like that smaller trilobyte of Peter's collection...might "need" one.. I'm washing kites this weekend...time to put some away for the winter...
@@JimNicholls ..oh I'll be flying the more sturdier ones!...the vintage ones that are more cloth than nylon will be stored. They absorb too much moisture. But I said that last year..and flew the odd one anyways..bringing them home, unfolding, and drying in my craft room..lol
Hi Ray, that kite was originally mine, and I'm pretty sure that it did come with a drogue tail. It wasn't a great flier, and both Peter and I have modified it over the years that it's been here. I can't remember exactly what was done, but it flies better now, and the change of tail probably accounts for part of that.
They are all different and unique in their own ways
It's good to have a variety of kites, I think.
Thank you for this video. The fog is no problem. We have a lot of them. Good kites. Nice sharing 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it. The fog was not a big problem, but can be sometimes as you may see in my next video.
Thank you both Jim for sharing a nice display..take care
Thanks, Craig. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Always nice to see Tommy with his skinny limbs. He is fun to watch. The Chinese lion is a nice addition.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
That 'Tommy' kite from HQ is such an amusing design! Love it!
I agree - it's a good kite that seems to have been made in very small numbers and then quickly discontinued, which is a great pity.
Welcome to the team, Chinese Lion, you look splendid and seemingly lift very well!
Yes, I was surprised how much pull it had, and it could lift quite a load, I think.
Nice to see Peter's and your birthday kites flying. We really did get a nice day on your last birthday fly.
It may well be my last birthday fly, Carl, but there's always a chance that I'll see another one!
That duck would haunt my dreams, not in a good way LOL.
It's not something I fly very often, Glenn, and that may have been its last appearance.
Very cool Jimmy. You and Peter had a nice display, Ron
Glad you enjoyed it, Ron.
Wow Beautiful Kites Flying sir Good Shering 👍🏼❤
Thank you, Vikram, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Very nice video Jim. Looked like a perfect day to me. We are to land locked to have sea fog here. Thanks Jim!
It was a good day for flying, Dewey, and the fog was not a problem, but you will see in my next video that it can really spoil things sometimes.
Very pretty!
Thanks, Evan! I'm happy to know that you enjoyed it.

Terrible to think that you have to go months without flying, Cynti. We fly year-round here, although it's not quite as regular in the winter months.

Good to know that you are not totally deprived of flying during the colder months!
It looks like you had a lot of fun! 😀
Yes, it was a good day!
Fantastic 🎉
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
IMO the lion is the coolest one!
It's certainly a good kite.
Hi Peter, did the rainbow kite sled originally come with a drogue?

Sea fog aside, it looks like it was a successful day for kites🪁🪁🪁
The fog wasn't too much of a problem, Sheryl, but you will see in my next video that it can be worse.
