This was just delightful! I still have my Fashion Barbie. I got her for my 11 th birthday. My mom did not think it proper for a little girl to play with a grown woman doll! She finally relented. I also have my Francie. Bought her in Bangor Maine. I was over the moon!! I sold several other dolls when I was in college. They went to my friend’s daughter , and then she passed them on to her daughter. About 15 years ago friends of mine found a vintage Skipper, vintage Tutti and a 1980s Skipper. They now all have hand made outfits given to me by a family member. How I miss the beautiful clothes etc. you could buy back in the day. I always enjoy your posts. Very best wishes to you.
Thank you! You brought my Miss Barbie, her pink bathing suit, and a few Skipper clothing items to mind. I still want to find my own doll, wigs, and swing set someday. ❤ Appreciate the share.
@@vintagedollcollector4828 thanks for responding. I meant your episode brought it to mind. Sadly mine is no longer. Her legs broke at the knee and then got left at my sister's friends house😒 I hope to find ( some day afford) a replacement Miss Barbie, her swing, and wigs!
Beautiful collection! I love the details. I never knew there was a closing eye Barbie made in the past. The Jody doll was my favourite. Interesting to see how the accessories stain the vinyl and also the chemical reaction.
What a great hall you got for the Miss Barbie I got little black washers they work a lot better than the rubber band cuz they were a little bit thicker to hold the head on I just checked her the still pretty tied after all these years
Another excellent video! I'm not a Barbie aficionado, but do remember the few I had fondly. I played with my sisters' Midge and Skipper, both were red heads. I had a PJ, it seems she wasn't around very long. She had long braids and pink bubble sun glasses. She was a Malibu, and had a voice box with pull string. The other Barbie I remember was a Francie with the hair you can curl: she was a brunette. Not 100% she was a Francie, but I think so. Pretty sure I had a Malibu Francie also, but she was definitely blonde, but weren't all the Malibu's? Thanks for this video, and I'm looking forward to your up coming videos. Thanks for all your hard work 🌹
Another great video. I truly enjoy everything you post. Some dolls are familiar to me and some I have not heard of, like Jody. All are interesting to see and learn about. See you soon !
I love all these cool vintage Barbies! I might be dating myself here but I am always on the lookout for Barbies and other dolls from 1964, the year I was born. It's always been a dream of mine to collect all the dolls from my childhood. It always brightens my day when you upload a new video! Take care & God bless!
I really LOVED the Skipper Doll because she is so beautiful, but it is a shame that the green got into her hair:(. I was wondering if you could use a little bit of hydrogen peroxide on a cotton swab to take out the green color in her hair and then wash her hair in Tresemme Conditioner to make her hair soft? I also LOVED Skipper's flower girl out fit with the yellow flower headband and bouquet:)!! Miss Barbie's pink swimsuit is as pretty as Miss Barbie:)!! I also thought it was interesting that Acme was offering a deal on Wendy's Dolls for only 97 Cents with coupon:)!!I also LOVED Wendy's pearl beaded necklace and the lace hat with pink bow and floral trim:)!!! I really LOVED the Jody The Country Girl Doll's General Store backdrop:)!! The details are really cute and I really liked to see Apples sold for only 8 Cents a pound:)!! Thank you for sharing these awesome Vintage Dolls:)!!!
The cure for green is usually benzoyl peroxide a/k/a Clearasil. But I'm going to try just washing the hair first. If the green comes off the hair, the spots on the scalp may not show. I agree the Miss Barbie swimsuit is adorable. I usually take the dolls out of their bathing suits and put them in something else, but I think she'll keep that on!
I love your channel. I look forward to every new video. I really appreciate your knowledge and enthusiasm. I have a collection of vintage Ken Dolls, cases and clothes. I've added a couple of Midges and Bubble Cut Barbies. I guess I now need to add an Alan. (See that's the collector bug biting.)
@@vintagedollcollector4828 I recently purchased two slim cases of vintage clothes for Old Babs and Kenny for a 100.00. when I got there the seller had the clothes laid out and roughly 30 pairs of shoes. I knew I was buying some shoes with the collection but I had no idea there were so many more. Most of what I purchased was vintage, but also included was the pink power suit, white hat and shoes along with the brief case from the 80s. Anyway, it was a bright spot in a crazy year. Cheers, Happy year ahead.
I've been collecting Barbie dolls since 1998 and I have all types of collections and reproductions and anniversaries and Bob mackey's one day I would like to sell them all at once
I absolutely love your content! Recently I have been getting my hands on porcelain dolls and am not sure which kind would be best? What’s your recommendation?
Thank you. When you ask which kind of dolls would be best, my question is, best for what? The best advice I have read is, collect what you love. If you're buying for resale, research before you buy so you know what you are getting and what they're worth. We all make mistakes, that's part of the learning process. But the more you know, the fewer costly mistakes you will make.
I recently bought that same bubble cut Barbie for $1.50 at a thrift store. She came nice and clean except that her hair is extremely sticky. Do you have any suggestions on how to clean the hair?
So beautiful and fun!💚
I just love your haul videos 😅🥰 ❤

Thank you Mary! I never had a Barbie as a kid, but I am making up for it now. :) I agree, the fashions and accessories from the 60s are just amazing.
I have original 1963 Midge what is she worth
I've never seen a Jody before, so pretty!

Hopefully you didn't store her with a wig on, maybe her head will be in better shape than mine. Awesome that you still have the swing set too!

Yes all the Malibu dolls were blonde. The next haul video will have more Barbie and friends, including a very pretty Francie. Thanks for watching!
I found PJ online. I guess mine was not part of the Malibu line, but a "Groovy" PJ. I wish I had kept her, but wasn't always the best doll mom 🙂

I have the nostalgic reissue of the four wig barbie .Of course in great shape.
I didn't know they had reissued that set. What do you think of her?
@@vintagedollcollector4828 her.Her bob auburn wig is a little messed up now.Her cheap plastic stand holder broke I use a rubber band

You definitely need Allan. You don't want Barbie and Midge fighting over Ken. :)

Gorgeous! I love Jody, I have always wanted one but the shipping to Europe makes her a bit too pricey for me...
Too bad, hopefully you will find one over there at some point. Thanks for watching!

Vintage Doll Collector thanks! I’ll take that advice to mind. Stay safe!
They sold fashion queen and wig wardrobe midge with the color magic set as heads a nd Mrs Barbie was the first with bendable legs
So did you ever experiment with the vinegar and baking soda???, just curious.

You got a deal!! Wash her hair with dish soap, that should do it.
