how does this video have so many little views and likes. This is the most informative thing I’ve found about emissions delete intake exhaust and tub all in a 14 minute video
I love this series for a couple reasons, main reason is I have same 2013 tdi in white with same intake and the other reason is there’s not many videos of this build on TH-cam so it’s nice to see someone who talks clearly about the process of the build
Thank you, I had a lot of fun making the content. I have another video coming out tomorrow that will be on the DPF removal. That was the least fun I had with the build. I'm planning to do more stuff, possibly meth injection, cams, then stage 4 TuneZilla with their manifold and turbo set up
@@SouthdownGarage now that would be awesome to see. I’m planning on making a trip to Canada to get the work done since it’s the nearest shop that is partnered with tunezilla sadly. But I can’t wait to see the future for your car it’s like seeing what I’d have if I had the $$ lol😂
This was a very informative video. i have the same cjaa motor and manual trans in my grand caravan.has malone stage 2 tune now. the van feels faster than the 273 horse v6 cause of the low end torque.
Thanks for doing this! I little disappointed by how low the HP was against the advertised HP on the website but then again, you aren’t buying a TDI to go racing.
The horsepower is relative to what dyno you use. The dyno I was on is a Mustang dyno, if your on a Dynojet that's what a lot of companies use because they run fairly close together no matter where you are, but they have quite a bit of correction. I just use the Mustang to show percentage increases. It's quite noticeable let me tell you. I just put the Jetta back on the Dyno just now to test Water Meth and the numbers start higher then before.
Ohh there definatly is a drone, at about 75+ on mine there is and then 1st thru 3rd is kinda annoying inside the car, ill be buying the resonator from rawtek soon
@@SouthdownGarage it’s been great so far. Golf is a manual and gets right at 50mpg. The Jetta has a auto and is averaging 43mpg with the .5 tune and delete with muffler in place. Going to to an air intake and remove the muffler next to match what I’ve done to my golf.
I would love to do a DPF, and EGR delete and keep the factory exhaust; where can I go to get this job done? I recently replaced my DPF under warranty, and now my warranty is over, I want to avoid paying for a DPF that will last 70,000 miles. Please let me know where I can get this job done.
I have a 15 Passat with rawtek delete and Malone stage 2, currently have the muffler on. Do you think there would be noticeable MPG gains by installing the intake and removing the muffler and replacing that with resonator instead? Great videos btw!
I have the same delete kit as you (Rawtek), cat, no resonator, S&B intake, stage 2 tunezilla engine and trans tune. I get around 50mpg average if I drive like a normal person.
Do you think that the initial testing was done with a delete tune on a car that wasn't deleted would skew the results somewhat? The car is not controlling any emissions components, and tuning for a straight exhaust?
No, I've previously done the same test with a golf previously where it was only Stage 2 no delete tune. I also checked with TuneZilla before doing the dyno run when I realized it was a delete and stage 2 rather then just a stage 2. I did have the same thought as you, but the numbers were identical to the stage 2 only tuned Golf.

Hi I made some comments on your other channel before I saw this. Would be awesome to dyno the CP3 conversion. I did mine earlier this spring and saw huge gains seat of the pants. I did timing belt kit, CP3 conversion, Fluidamper “vdamper” & aluminum lower timing cover. How much gain came from CP3 conversion and how much came from fluidamper I’m not sure, but both are awesome upgrades. I already had a buzzken downpipe, Banks “cat back” exhaust, German Diesel Motorwerks EGR delete, Euro CR170 clutch (6sp) and Malone stg 2 tune. I bought the car new used from someone freaking about the diesel gate. I have ran 5w-40 synthetic in it since I got it with 17k miles.
What a find, that's awesome. I'm going to start looking into the CP3 conversion. I'm also switching to 5w40. I bought mine after it was bought back from VW, when they flooded the market a few years ago. It had less then 40k miles on it.
@@SouthdownGarage The fluid damper “vdamper” a machine shop machines fluidamper meant for 2.0 gas VW to work in TDI applications. Between the upgraded dual mass flywheel and later the fluidamper I have smooth shifting and zero gearbox clatter like I did when the car was first tuned and deleted.
@@SouthdownGarage Also the aluminum lower timing cover is a needed upgrade as the stock plastic cover deforms over time and can rub on the timing belt.
