Got mine recently. D2 Blade. Such a beauty! Perfectly made, excellent quality, solid like a fixed blade when opened. Chinese Comrades made my childhood dream came true. Every single Soviet boy was dreaming about button knife. I am happy now! 😃
I ordered the 200$ one in 390 Now i see videos of them breaking when stabbed into wood I havent received mine in the mail yet. Have you tested yours against wood? I wonder if they all break or if that one was flawed
Yeah man, i can do that! Not a problem, i do have a ton of other things going on right now, so i wont be able to upload that video for at-least a few days, maybe i can get it up by this weekend for ya? Thanks for watching my video, and Make sure you subscribe to my channel for more videos and so you can get notified when i drop that new video of the MG Halo hellhound tanto!
Very cool man. Only advice I got is to remember to turn your phone horizontal. It happens to me too if you look at my recent halo 6 vids. My first one came out vertical too. That way when you upload you will be full screen.
Oh sh!t! i just realized that this, didn't even realize i was recording this video like that until just now when you said something..I was borrowing & using my wife's Samsung Galaxy S7, because i still haven't gotten a replacement display for my iPhone 6S - which is what i normally use, because it records in 4K & is really fast. Hey, this reminds me, Tim, you need to check out the other non-VESPA Halo VI clone's that are popping up on DHGate.com! I can't speak on the MIKER Halo VI's available from John @ ChinaHighEndEDC - But i purchase two from the seller MGFKnife, one is hell-hound tanto blade - and the other being a compound grind drop-point, and both of the knives are extremely well built, like the fit and finish on them is nearly identical to the fit and finish on the VESPA Halo VI's bro! Only they are using 6061 aluminum handle scales, and supposedly D2 blade steel (also aluminum/stainless charging handle instead of titanium); Blade-play is also slightly there, unlike the VESPA halo VI, these have very-very minor side-to-side movement, but barley perceptible. I am very surprised with them man, because i purchased one of them VESPA Halo VI's, and the non-VESPA Halo VI's i got from MGFKnife (the same ones i'm talking about now) are not far off from the VESPA-version..it's just the materials are much better, and slightly better build-quality over-all. I put up a video or two on my channel, there you will see them if you'r interested - i can also shoot you some pics and/or videos by e-mail if your interested! Just figured i'd share that with you, maybe you would be interested in picking one or two of them up bro, they are worth the $ IMHO! Nice beater-replica's of the halo VI' that you can really man-handle :P
Ive reviewed knives made by similar makers and usually they are not as refined internally. But they may have improved. My main problem with those cheaper versions is the steel. They use a variety of D2 in china that has a lot of streaking in the grain structure of the metal. So if you wipe the blade down with windex you can see these odd striations going lengthwise down the blade. Almost looks like the blade is shattered or smeared in some cases. Functionally I have not noticed an issue. But it bugs me regardless. But thanks for looking out. I just keep coming back to vespa because I think they truly make the best OTF knives. I mean that $1900 Damascus deadlock I reviewed didn't have as nice of fit and finish. Now one is made in a shack in the woods and another in a factory. But still with $1650 in price difference its insanity. Oh, and OTF fun fact of the day. Im not sure if you are familiar with a maker who goes by Andy Xu. He isn't around much anymore but his "paladin" knife was featured prominently in the latest reboot of the Stephen King Movie "IT"
I paid $170.00 for this one, but it retails for $177.95 on dhgate.com; If you decide to get one, make sure you ONLY purchase from DHGate.com, and from the seller: ChinaHighEndEDC If you message him in private, and talk with him about his VESPA OTF knives, you may be able to negotiate with him on the price and have hm come down some on the price. They have it in Blue, and also Black. However this green color was done in a limited run, so they wont have as many of them produced as the blue and black (thats what the seller told me). ChinaHighEndEDC is the manufacturer for these VESPA knives btw, however you will find dozens of other listings on AliExpress and DHGate for the same knife, if you go through the manufacturer, you're guarenteed a fully functional and quality piece.
You're wrong. And there is nothing illegal about whats presented in this video, its a knife. with similiar shapes, mechanisms, and materials of other knifes out here on the US market, thats it. There is no markings, logos, or counterfit about it. Have you seen the number of knives of the market in the US alone that resemble other brands/companies? 1 it is M390 2. i purchased this knife for 1/4 the price of what you wouuld pay for something like this on the market here in the US and 3. i dont feel one ounce of guilt, because i got a screaming deal on something of excellent craftsmenship. i think its safe to say you are jealous that you dont have one, am i right? Thanks for commenting on my video, please like the video and subscribe to my channel here on youtube for more content! :-) Have a nice day
We have a knife snob here. Firstly vespa make high end homage knives which by us law are not fakes. Also id rather pay 200 bucks for a chinese knife than 600 for an american knife
@@baersworld.8812 actually it is illegal. Get a real one. You’ll be much happier. You didn’t get a “screaming deal”. That’s like going to the flea market, buying a fake Rolex and bragging about how much you saved by buying a counterfeit. Theft of intellectual property bud.
