MTTC 2024 has been truly enjoyable to watch, with a mixed of young talents and appearance of ex-national players. What I noticed in this game is the clash between speed (Danny) vs experience (Fikri).
Game 2 and 3 Danny was obviously couple seconds faster than Fikri, especially when it comes to recovery. Game 4 Fikri read Danny's serve much better and mindfully up his speed to go against Danny.
Ultimately speed still prevails (also the same: Shakirin vs Brandon's match), which really show the difference between the training intensity of actively competing national players vs the rest - they tend to be a couple seconds faster, which makes all the difference for the outcome.
