You mention that previously you stayed at the courtyard by marriott. I couldn't find any videos of the stay there. What was it like? Love your videos, they're super helpful for someone who's thinking of travelling to Bali.
Mich stayed there previously (no video), she loved it but also fount it to be a little bit of a walk from Seminyak square ( which, for me, is no big deal). Thanks for the kind words regarding our videos and have a great trip.
Hey Sam, do you have a link you can share for the scooter hire, that is so cheap, coming up with the Mrs in a week, for a three week tour around the Island, maybe we might cross paths?
I do, but it's nothing special, i referred my best mate to them and it wasn't easy at all. There are lots on Facebook now. Pick one that is close to where you are staying and go from there. They all communicate via Wattsapp now. I would push for $8 per day- even less if you are a good negotiator and want the bike for a long time.
A couple of years back while in Seminyak, fell in bathroom and cut my head and asked doctors to use medical superglue to hold together as not enough skin to stretch… Long story short, not used in Bali - only in Jakarta, so having medical experience, had them irrigate wound and use tape which was fine and 7 days later removed, cleaned and it was nearly healed. Hate to have something serious happen there!
Ouch, slipping in bathrooms can be so dangerous. Sounds like they took great care of your wound. Another example in the video is of a man who had an extremely serious wound and he did receive top level care.
How were you ale to rent a motorcycle in Bali? I thought it's now illegal for non-Indonesians to rent a motorcycle in Bali. Anyway, a couple of questions: 1. Is it safe to ride a motorcycle in Bali (around the island)? FYI, no, I do not drink. 2. Do you need to purchase insurance? 3. Do you have to have an international license? 3. Is it easy to find a parking spot?
Anyone can rent a scooter in Bali. Yes, we have international licence. You can get a fine without one, some places might not rent to you without it and your travel insurance will not cover you without it. Parking is everywhere.
