      Thanks heaps Paul. It is so different outside of the busy ultra tourist parts of Bali. Well worth exploring a little. Make sure you check out both the Lovina and Amed videos.

    Thankyou very much for this video, very informative on Bali, and yes you should also mention to people, Be at the airport 3 hours before you flights to Bali, oh Mish Tell Sam it's OK to use Cash, because that's what I'll be using when I get there, the only time I'm using my Card is when I pay for the Hotel Accommodation and what I may have consumed at the hotel, as a general rule I never take my cards with me, I'll be leaving that inside my suitcase under lock and key, I'll be taking my keys with me hidden in my Special Anti-Theft Shoulder Pouch which goes over your shoulder, a pity there's no way for me to put a picture of what I'm talking about to show you what I mean, and yes I also know of those Dodgy Scratchy Scams, they had that in Hong Kong back in 2009, Wasted my Mum and I's Full Final day in Hong Kong when we could have done something else, it was to do with so-called Time Share Accommodation, Not Worth It.

      Hi Mark. Yes, all good advice. Keep in mind that we are not carrying our home visa cards with us, they are in skim cases and under lock and key at the hotel. We have travel ones that we only transfer a couple of hundred dollars a time into.

    Hi guys, been loving your videos, very informative. I have been a few times and coming in August again , was wondering if any recomendations on hireing bike in Kuta area. Will be bringing own helmets and will need a big bike for 2 , we have never hired bikes always had a driver but thinking of doing a bit of our own exploring. Keep up your great vids. Cheers.

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Tracy. There are lots of bike hire places on Facebook and you can arrange the hire before you go. $10 per day is a decent price for an N Max, a slightly larger bike that is good for two to explore the island ( you will get everywhere so much quicker on a bike). Make sure it has a luggage box, phone holder and phone charger.
      Usual stuff: good helmet, shoes and be careful.
      Lastly, have to highlight - if you are not a rider back home, this really isnt the place to learn. Thanks for reaching out, all the best and enjoy your holiday.

    Loving your videos, when would you suggest is the best time of year to travel to Bali?

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We prefer dry season. Even the locals find the humidity of wet season to be hot, and, beaches are dirty during wet season.

    Thanks heaps guys, very informative. My wife 4 kids and i are coming in 2 weeks so are trying to gather as much info as possible. Your videos are great.
    One question please? ..... withthe Wise card can you use it at most places? And can you withdraw more than $150 from the ATM ? Its just that there are 6 of us so $150 probably not enough for 1 day.
    We are coming from NZ, 😊

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Matthew. Glad the videos are helping and thanks for reaching out. Both the WISE and HSBC cards are great, even many street shops are now accepting cards. You can't go wrong with either of them, but, yes, - most machines won't let you withdraw more than $200 at a time, but, you can do it over and over (no daily limit). Lastly - who really needs cash when you can swipe everywhere. Enjoy you travels.

    Great video guys. Sam, what shoes would you recommend (for guys) to wear in Bali?

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It would be ridiculous to try to wear a short motorcycle boot in that heat, so the next best thing is the most durable leather runner you can find. I searched for a while and found a brand called Deuce. They are around $200, I think I got them on sale for $120. Leather, good quality, come with a warranty and, I think, look great for a white casual runner.
      Thanks for the cheer on the video and enjoy your travels.

    I need to ask, do the charcoal tablets make everything black? I have a bottle but never took any. Instead we drink yakult and chew the Super Colostrum tablets (travelan made us constipated).

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, they make everything black. Never tried super colostrum, but, if it keeps everything in, is that a good idea if your body is trying to expel bacteria (food poisoning)?

      HSBC is Just Debit. We do have a 28 Degrees travel credit card as a last resort.

    Travelling solo, can passport etc be left in room? Are room safes secure?

    • @BreatheBali
      @BreatheBali  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Robo, we have never had a problem, and realistically, don't even give passports a second thought. The Bali of the past is gone, but we have friends that won't leave their room without it plastered to them (quite paranoid). If you are worried, there are safes in the rooms, but in the end, this is your choice.
