@Daniel Hoover my current worming hypothesis is that "deleting caroline" isn't so easy of a thing to do. Remember GLaDOS is an ai, so the idea that there's a block of code that strictly defines Caroline that can just be deleted strikes me as GLaDOS not realizing that at this point her code is very messy and intertwined with Caroline on a fundamental level, and what she really deleted was just her obsession over being caroline, giving her the clarity of mind to let you free

Yeah, not everyone realizes that GLaDOS is _massive,_ especially since you don't get a lot of opportunities to approach her. Her head section alone is about as long as Chell is tall

Master Chief jumping through a portal at high velocity while eating his cake is the type of thing I needed in my life
I remember my brother got Lego Dimensions, and when I found out there was a Portal section I had to do it for him.
Him, me and my Dad then played the game and completed it together.
And when this song played, I started crying because 1) it was unexpected and 2) Portal and Portal 2 were my introductions to gaming, and to have one more GLaDOS song just made me so so happy. It was like seeing an old friend again.
My dad didn't get why I was crying though and called me a baby, and you know what? Damn right I am when this woman sings!

Honestly I think this song can be canon with the Batman line. Assuming batman is still a popculture thing (Why wouldnt it be) in portal's time, when I first heard this song on spotify I just assumed it was GLaDos lying to make Chell jealous/want to come back in a kinda deranged/out of the loop sort of way. I love the idea that GLaDOS only thought Chell was fat because of the lens distortion
I just love the thought that through her experiences with Chell, GLaDOS grew from a genuinely maniacal machine that needed personality or control cores to stop her from just killing everyone around her - to someone who made cake for all her new friends, but then she pushed Chell away from Aperture because either she couldn't continue to look at her for what she [GLaDOS] did to her or because she wanted Chell to actually get a chance at life.
Every time I look deeper into Chell and GLaDOS's relationship I'm just a little more heartbroken.
Now I want to see a proper Batman/Portal crossover...

Monet_girl_02 The turrets and some some other robots made it. The robots with hands painted Chell onto a piece of cardboard and the turrets cut it out with a hailstorm of bullets.

Aw, I got this sad like feeling coming from GlaDOS. It's like the whole time she's singing "How much fun she's having with so many new friends" without Chell but in reality she's just exaggerating and none of it has happened trying to somehow put on a facade she's doing well without Chell but really she truly misses her.
Like the parts when she sings "All by myself...finally" the "finally" part actually sounds sad. And the ending "But you wouldn't know would yooou..." as she see's Chell return. As if she couldn't believe her eyes that Chell actually returned.
I see the song as GlaDOS is singing a lie that she's doing so well without Chell but she really isn't.

this is gonna sound stupid but hear me out.
I can only ever imagine this song as a final goodbye from G.L.A.D.o.S as Aperture science falls.
Combine soldiers are storming the building, the defenses are falling. In a final display of mercy or, dare I say, love. GLaDoS records a final message for Chell. It's obviously filled with farcical nonsense and lies because that's her nature. The last bitter sweet notes leave her artificial lips and a life of sadness, pain, torture, regret and anguish flash through Caroline's brain one last time.
GLaDoS died that day, and Caroline is finally left to rest...
But how does Chell get that message? From a fallen friend turned fallen star. With a processor of gold that was set ablaze by the ungodly flames of power.

This is a song original to LEGO Dimensions, which Portal 2 was an IP in. The main heroes are Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle and they have annoyed her way too much by incorrectly solving her tests. She eventually teams up with them for the final battle.

@@drdino2002 Gordon was wearing the original HEV suit before it was modified by Dr.Kleiner to be able to be charged by combine technology, and the headcrab still had the sharp ends of the front legs so I doubt it was Llamar. Besides, Gordon was struggling to get the headcrab off his head and Llamar has her 'teeth' removed so when Llamar attempts to attach herself to someone's head, she can be pulled off very easily. Other headcrabs however are NOT so easily separated from somebody's head, an example of this is in Half Life Alyx when a headcrab attacks you, it can be easily discovered that for a regular human, a headcrab can be relatively difficult to pull off.

It’s so hilarious that every song Glados makes is about Chell. You can really tell how much she’s impacted her.
You know... This is probably one of my favorite animations. It kinda finishes the story of portal, GLaDOS gets new test subjects in the form of batman, Gordon freeman and others and has officially moved on in life, leaving Chell as a thing of the past, until portal 3 comes out, I'll be happy with this ending. :)

Seeing as how Don't Say Goodbye was made for Portal 2 while in development, it's possible it was made before Want You Gone, though I don't know if any confirmation about which came first exists.
When you realize that the Lego Dimensions Portal level pack was Portal 3, that is right a 3rd Valve game....sort of.
I love this so much, they nailed the Portal feel perfectly with the lyrics, and you brought it to a whole new level with top quality animation.
I take this song as glados, after deleting Caroline and sending Chell away, realizing that she still did develop emotions and empathy as an ai outside of what was given to her by Caroline. I see this as her lament, that if anyone returns they'd find a lonely robot hard at work to revitalize and save any possible remaining human life that could be tucked away in some crevice as a means of repentance.
That sounds nice but also remember in her time away from Chell she found thousands of humans in Cryosleep hidden in old apature
She killed them all in a week with her testing

doubt that would work as u need the portal to actually play the game and removing and moving the figures on the portal is actually a core mechanic.

Just to remind you guys, this is a song from a mega crossover LEGO game that is also a tsundere anthem sung by GLaDOS which also references Batman.
Basically batman used his connections to actually update her code, making her actually less test crazy and actually be a kind robot.
After he was tested, managed to reach the reactor room, shutting off her power completely.
