    I really enjoy these snippets videos as they are short and to the point.
    Plus they will be easier to find in the future if you ever need to refer back to them.

      That's the idea. I'm hoping they'll become an index of basic OTX functions especially for people who are new to the system.

    Simple and clear - straight to the point in hand - no superfluous nonsense - pretty much perfect really. Thanks for these snippets, looks like they will be a great source of info!

    If someone's radio doesn't have a knob or a slider can it be done through other buttons or switches like to buttons one for increasing and one for decreasing the volume?

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure--try it. Instead of using the slider, use a different control.

    Great videos. I’ve been following them all with my new tx16s. I’ve done this it works fine but is there a way to do that to the welcome message?.👍

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to set the master volume in system settings to turn down the initial volume. The soft setting doesn't get "read" until after the model is loaded which occurs after the welcome sound is processed. Alternatively, you could just eliminate the "welcome to open tx" prompt by removing hello.wav in the sounds folder.

    Is there a way to reverse the s1? Volume works fine but its backward, clockwise turns it down

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not in the radio definition to my knowledge. You could reverse if using in a model definition via weights/inputs etc, but not in the radio setup itself.

    • @davidhogue100
      @davidhogue100 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RCVideoReviews I have it defined in global functions. It originally wasn't set as s1 in the radio, and if I touched it to assign it, it said tlx or something like that. Had to go into switches or pots and set it to s1, but I didn't see a !s1 or a reverse option. I figured I did it wrong somehow

    Wow! I have just "discovered" these snippets and this one plus "Control Backlight with a Knob" are just what I was looking for. One question. What is the music at the start and end of the RC VIDEO REVIEWS?

    • @anthonyeden931
      @anthonyeden931 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It took some trial and error to work out how to get UPPER CASE letters at the 3 minute 30 second mark for "VOL". Time to "put my money where my mouth is" and make a donation to RC Video Reviews

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Anthony, Glad you found the OpenTx library. I don't know the title of the music, I found it in an editing software package many years ago.
      Welcome to the channel...

      @@RCVideoReviews The song is titled "I've Never Been in Love Before" a duet from the 1950 musical "Guys and Dolls" but it was only used as background music in the 1955 film version with Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. I would still like to know who is playing the piano version that you use.

    An alternative to scrolling through the lists to select a input switch, knob or slider you just operate said switch, knob or slider to select.
    Not useful for all input types and options but handy for vanilla programming.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for contributing. Did you know you can long press on the input and select from an input type? Your timing is right on, I showed this technique in the backlight snippet. ;) Great minds...

    John, I need some help I have just purchased a new x16 with edge installed but the volume is very quiet
    I have watched your control volume video on youtube and adjusted the volume as you suggested, but I am still battling to hear the voice, my sd card has the Amber custom sound pack included
    Is there any other way to increase the volume
    thanks in advance

      Delete the sounds directory from your SD card and replace it with the sound zip from the EdgeTX github: github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx-sdcard-sounds/releases/download/v2.5.3/edgetx-sdcard-sounds-en-2.5.3.zip
