I have a question So why everyone of you call yourself Hare Krishna but not Hindu? And don’t give me easy answers like Hinduism is not a religion its a way of life you can walk on whatever path you want or whatever. I’m a Hindu so don’t give that crap.
I follow deep meditation path. I had the same feeling that u told, Sri Krishna guides me. And thru meditation i get all the answers to my questions which i struggled to get from the knowledge i can get from the people. My guru Sri sri Ravi shankar ji helped me to get in to this path. My reasons: when I had big big big problems in my life, the only one who helped me was Krishna. I was born and raised Christian orthodox (in Romania) and all my life I searched for spirituality, to understand God, to understand myself, to understand my life, to understand my heart. I practiced the Christian religion, I studied the Christian philosophies, but my heart was not fulfilled, not satisfied, so I tried with other philosophies, new age, etc..Finally, 10 years ago, I cried aloud and prayed to God to show my path because my heart was unfulfilled, unhappy, miserable. So, Krishna in a miraculous way guided me and showed his mercy. At that time I didn't know too much about Krishna. Later on, when I read Srila Prabhupada's books, I understand how wonderful, how lovingly, how merciful Krishna is. I didn't need anything more. My heart was again happy, fulfilled. I am in debt eternally to our guru Srila Prabhupada, only thru his big big big mercy, my heart is again happy. So, my essential reason is that my heart is happy, fulfilled again. Hare Krishna! Sanatan Dharma or Hinduism is for everyone. For mankind. It's eternal. There are no prophet or any founder of Sanatan Dharma. It has no beginning or end. It has existed and will exist eternally. It's easy to dislike or despise one belief when you look it in a way of competition. You have to realise we all are Souls. We, you and me, are no different. We all are the particle of the Supreme soul, God. I know him as Krishna. You know him as Allah. But our goal is the same. Every life-form, from a Bacteria to a human, every single life form has the same goal. The goal is to realise ourselves as souls, a part and particle of God. To understand The relationship of ourselves with the Supreme so that we can finally end this cycle of birth and death and go back to real home, to God. There are 8,400,000 life-form created by god among them human form is the only form which allows the soul to understand and realise himself and his goal. so only a human is capable enough to learn this eternal science and can leave this miserable situation of Life-and death to eternally blissfulness of the holy Super souls, the god ,Krishna. We humans, wastes our life in fighting over materialistic pleasure and entitlement. If only we knew how lucky we are to be born as humans. Only we are smart enough to have this privilege of offering loving service to GOD. Sanatan Dharma never say anyone to accept Sanatan Dharma as the only true religion otherwise he'll go to hell. That's not how it goes. There is no process or ritual for one to become a hindu. Like in Christianity there is Baptism. Or in islam there is Kalmaa. There is no such ritual. If one feels-like practicing sanatan dharma he just can do it. There is no need to convert. People of different religions, ethnicities, race just simply has to do one thing in order to achieve the ultimate spiritual goal which is to go back to god, back to Krishna and end the cycle of Birth, pain, diseases and death, is to just realise youself as a soul and a particle of the Supreme god who are on this planet in a life form of a human to offer the unconditional loving service to Absolute Supreme. To pray and worship him and he with his mercy will set us free from this maya (illusionary world) and take us back to him, the real Truth. Sooner or later every human realises this reality and when he does there is nothing more pleasurable for him than be always involved and engaged in the praise and worship of the Lord. That gives him/her immense pleasure. Once someone tastes the nectar of bhakti (Devotional service) he from there on, will have no other desire but to always be transcendentaly high in praise and chant (Harinam Kirtan) of the holy name of god, Krishna/Vishnu. If you are open-minded enough or have any inclination towards learning more be it for sake of knowledge or just to learn something new, try reading this book called "Bhagwad Gita as it is" it's published by Bhaktivedanta book trust. And once a pious thing becomes a competition it makes us, humans, do the most impious things. It's the darkness of nescience. And this Darkness can only be over-come by the light of knowledge. Like god in bible says "Let there be light". For me that light is "Bhagvad gita" It's a self-luminous lantern with which I try to find the path of salvation and righteousness to Supreme, Krishna/God/Allah/paramaatma.

I am a follower of lord shiva but when in the morning I wake up I see hare Krishna devotee chanting n singing on the road daily bases. They made my day very good. My reason to follow this path is, whenever I feel like something has really hurt me I look at Krishna's portrait or Shiva's portrait, I feel like they can feel my pain and I feel like even if there's nobody there for me to support me, Krishna is always going to be there by my side. I don't know, but I just feel like it's not just some portrait or any statue it's Krishna himself who is looking back at me and saying that don't worry I'm there for you. I just feel really safe and secure being around the things related to Krishna and Mahadeva.
My favorite reason for following Sanatan Dharma is similar to some things you liked; that it is an unfolding process of becoming awakened to our true spiritual identity and it is experience-based. I was frustrated and bewildered growing up and after contacting Krishna Consciousness I am not longer bewildered and I am much happier.

I remember once(1998) in America I told one of my American colleagues(he was the client) that for us Hindus even Christ is God..to which he was surprised and asked ‘So you Hindus also accept Christ as god’...I found that question funny and only much later realised that from Christian point of view it’s the Church’s view on who is the true god...while for us Hindus it is just natural to consider all gods are true and the name and form that we have chosen to give to the same divinity... be it a god worshipped by some tribe of 2000 people living on some remote undiscovered island in the Pacific or by a billion Hindus :)
Actually, if you think about it, every body is born into Sanatana Dharma. For instance, if a child is not baptised, he is not christian. In Sanatana Dharma, there is no organised ceremony to deem you Sanatana Dharmic, or a Hindu. So everybody enters this earth as a Hindu.
Leela, Reincarnation, time cycle, concept of life, search and purpose of life, who are we, why are we here, purpose of guru, habits and way of living to attain the goal, 84 lakh species, multi universe, reason of happiness and pain - maya, eternal Vedas, proof of existence of Santhana dharma from many thousands of years, concept of god, Ultimate and true happiness, Law of Karma, Ayurvedam, Yoga, Formless at the same time infinite forms, and infinite names of god, Woman power, Non-Violence, man-women equality and importance, etc.....

God can be formless nirakar brahma, infinite forms, infinite names and all at the same time, which is impossible but for god impossible is easily.possible. if a person is asked to imagine god in heart, we cannot imagine a formless God, that is the reason a form is worshipped which is easy to imagine and think, that doesn't mean god is fixed to a form. That is the reason god made leelas like ramayana, Mahabharata and many more, infact infinite leelas. I am a follower of lord shiva but when in the morning I wake up I see hare Krishna devotee chanting n singing on the road daily bases. They made my day very good. I used to go to ISKCON temple in the evening for prayer at Udhampur in jammu and kashmir. I missed those days badly. Hare Krishna to you mayapuri devotees.

My reason to follow this path is, whenever I feel like something has really hurt me I look at Krishna's portrait or Shiva's portrait, I feel like they can feel my pain and I feel like even if there's nobody there for me to support me, Krishna is always going to be there by my side. I don't know, but I just feel like it's not just some portrait or any statue it's Krishna himself who is looking back at me and saying that don't worry I'm there for you. I just feel really safe and secure being around the things related to Krishna and Mahadeva.
Same happens to me, as if god is watching me.

My favorite reason for following Sanatan Dharma is similar to some things you liked; that it is an unfolding process of becoming awakened to our true spiritual identity and it is experience-based. I was frustrated and bewildered growing up and after contacting Krishna Consciousness I am not longer bewildered and I am much happier.

I remember once(1998) in America I told one of my American colleagues(he was the client) that for us Hindus even Christ is God..to which he was surprised and asked ‘So you Hindus also accept Christ as god’...I found that question funny and only much later realised that from Christian point of view it’s the Church’s view on who is the true god...while for us Hindus it is just natural to consider all gods are true and the name and form that we have chosen to give to the same divinity... be it a god worshipped by some tribe of 2000 people living on some remote undiscovered island in the Pacific or by a billion Hindus :)
Actually, if you think about it, every body is born into Sanatana Dharma. For instance, if a child is not baptised, he is not christian. In Sanatana Dharma, there is no organised ceremony to deem you Sanatana Dharmic, or a Hindu. So everybody enters this earth as a Hindu.
The world people is connected with the Hare Krishna. I love the Hare krishnas every movement. Coz He is the supreme power .He is all in all..
Leela, Reincarnation, time cycle, concept of life, search and purpose of life, who are we, why are we here, purpose of guru, habits and way of living to attain the goal, 84 lakh species, multi universe, reason of happiness and pain - maya, eternal Vedas, proof of existence of Santhana dharma from many thousands of years, concept of god, Ultimate and true happiness, Law of Karma, Ayurvedam, Yoga, Formless at the same time infinite forms, and infinite names of god, Woman power, Non-Violence, man-women equality and importance, etc.....

As a follower, we never like to hurt or convert anyone, as we believe god has infinite names.
There is no your god, my god, his god, there is only ONE God, who is limitless, our mind is what thinks as limited as we are under Maya. God can be formless nirakar brahma, infinite forms, infinite names and all at the same time, which is impossible but for god impossible is easily.possible. if a person is asked to imagine god in heart, we cannot imagine a formless God, that is the reason a form is worshipped which is easy to imagine and think, that doesn't mean god is fixed to a form. That is the reason god made leelas like ramayana, Mahabharata and many more, infact infinite leelas.
God took human form because it is easy for us tobe more closer to him as we will feel him as normal and similar to us, like our own brother, friend, father, mother, lover. And it is easy as well. Attachment to god is what our aim.
And Dharma is not a company to establish branches, convert and employ people.

Sanathana Dharma is eternal as the name says. It is not evolved one day nor it will end one day.... Have faith in God. If the concept of soul is eternal, dharma should also be eternal. If it started on a day, then it will end one day, but the things that are eternal, will be eternal.
Dharma should be universal, it should be applicable to all living beings equally, Whether reward or pain.
Getting afraid of losing Dharma shows that either You have chosen wrong path or you don't have complete faith in God. Try to practise, we all in the beginning stages itself.
