I would give up the internet and my smartphone to go back and live in the 80s again!

I want my eighties back !
What stops you?
Me too
Eu também!!!😭😭😢😞
so many memories
👍👍👍👍
80S WAS THE GREATEST
I wish we could go back!
I was nineteen years old when this song broke onto the radio. I had a delivery job, and I would drive all over the city, listening to the radio all the while, so every time this song came on, I heard it. Man, if only I could go back and spend a day in my old life.
Little did they know that this AMAZING song would transcend decades.
I was 20 and stationed on Camp Geiger ,North Carolina, when this was released . Unforgettable times ,and memories. When we're living in that moment, no person could convince us that we would desperately long for those days back. The 80s were awesome, and I'm thankful for the experience.
Amen brother!
It doesn’t get any better than this. The best of the 80s.
its pre-recorded lol
@@mam362 Still a good 80's choon, if you like that kind of thing lol
yeh thats what i thought@@mam362
@@mrchico2621It's tune, not choon
Def turned out to be an all time classic
I remember riding in my mother's car in March of 1985 and this song came on. Love it.
It was the same situation for me but the car was mine !80’s was truly magical, unbelievable and unforgettable, music fashion and culture they was better than today! But sorry I haven’t a De Lorean car to come back in that decade!!😅😜👍🙏
@@AngeloCapra Very cool!
This band belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
It's a pop band from the 80's.
@@pelleohpop rock. Aslo, Tupac in the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
when the music was music
as a person born in 2010 really darn wish i was born in the 80’s. there were no phones for people to be distracted with and the music was great!. i just wish i was there for that
People like you give me hope for your generation.
It was a fantastic time to be alive. We witnessed first hand the digital revolution. Imagine walking up to a girl and asking her out and she'd say yes (hopefully!) and it was normal and you wouldn't be labeled a creep because there was no other way to ask LOL. We had better paying jobs in this country, we still had a level of respect and common courtesy that you don't see much anymore. Things moved slower but at the same time I don't think 1 out of 3 Americans was hooked on barbiturates, benzodiazepines or opioids like we have today.
@@justacinnamonbun8658 as a GenX born in ‘68, I agree with you 100%
No you don't, arthritis sucks lol
👏👏👏👏
One of the Top 10 best songs of the 80s that still sounds so good today.
Top 10? Lol
Listening this masterpiece is a magical moment great 80s
Im Brazil this band left a mark in a entire generation. 80's forever .
I was born in 85, and I only have a few memories from the 80’s. But I can tell you, 1985 was a special year for music.
So was I. In 85 great things came out
this was th era of true music...the peak of the music, quality in every single aspect and then, after 90s was falling down into shape of these days, pure sink hole
There can never be music like this today
Never knew countdown was a thing.
This is like watching MTV unplugged for the 80's music, shlt is dope af.
Their lyrics were ahead of the 80’s and very fitting for today!
Just wrote that.
There is nothing new under the sun. Nothing. Technology has made it easier to see but if you studied history you'd know exactly where we are right now. The collapse of Rome was well documented.
Having said that as awesome as my childhood was there was still political strife in the 80s. The doomsday clock. Looming nuclear war. We were just a lot cooler back then. Politics don't change. War doesn't change. Power plays don't change.
These lyrics are just timeless.
I know. The lyrics for Mad World also are fitting for today.
What do the lyrics mean, anyone, please?
@@SphereOfTheEarth I think pretty self explanatory.
Best year of music for me: 1985!! 😗
TAMBÉM CONCORDO QUE 1985 FOI O ANO "" THE BEST "" DA MÚSICA INTERNACIONAL 🙏🎶💜85🙏🎶💜85🙏🎶💜85🙏 ‼️

Wow no cell phones love it I want to go back.
One of the best "riffs" ever at a start of a song...you know right away what this song is as soon as it comes on...legendary group...
I always think this as well , the start of the song or riffs unreal takes me back an to that girlfriend I was with at that time 😊
I can almost touch the 80s again. Oh, if I could go back in time
It sure would be sweet, even for a little while.
I love tears for fears and 80s. One of best song all time. I was born in 1980. Im italian
This song is an absolute time machine, for those that lived it, you are just pulled right back into the 80s
True, but correction..
We're pulled back into reality. It doesn't matter the year it's from or the current year, or anything in between, this song transcends time itself.
Also, remember that this song was written and recorded before they knocked down the Berlin wall..
Yes you are
This is one of the most beautiful songs, definitely my all-time favorite! ❤❤❤
80’s was the best music
So happy to be transported back to the 80's even if only for a little under 5 minutes.....
I miss the 80s, what more frightening is everyone in that audience is gonna be well on their way to the age of 60 now 😢😢

I want to go back to the good times.. and never leave ..we were very lucky those of us who lived through this era..
Went through them all, born in “61” here, I wish I could go back, life was much better.
This is one of my favourite 80's tracks, it always transports me into a nostalgic era. The oldies are most certainly goodies! ♥️

Best band & song ever.....❤
A fantastic piece of writing .. brilliantly sung and played
These cool dudes still rock this classic piece in their 60’s
It is a great combo of deep meaning and rhythmic nostalgia
One of my favorite albums of all time. This song immediately has me turn up the volume and brings me back to summer , driving a convertible ! Genius!
My 7 year old boy’s favorite song! 😂
Your 7-year-old is a legend already!
Lo mejor de lo mejor gracias
No one in that audience deserves to be there
Always and forever my 80s jam!! Roland on that guitar is gold.
I was born in 1997, and I would give anything… ANYTHING AT ALL to live during that time period. No phones, normal society, and this band playing this song!
I love 80’s music
Beautiful
80's forever. Grande hit do dueto Tears for Fears. ❤
This is the greatest song ever created. As relevant today as it ever was. As sublime to the ears as it is epic in existential scope. AMAZING
Я родился в СССР в 1967 году и 1985 год и эта песня самое оучшее время которое у меня было!❤❤❤❤❤❤
The people in the back should’ve been in the front, cause the energy of people in the sucked! This is such a timeless piece of music
Tears for fears forever❤
I can listen to this song over and over (and I have), Still sounds good. It is so upbeat and has lots of meaning
I love that song
Lyrics
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never never never never need it
One headline why believe it?
Everybody wants to rule the world
All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts for ever
Everybody wants to rule the world
I'm in my 60's and hope time travel is discovered before i die
El logotipo de countdown quedaría mucho mejor abajo a la derecha!
es una de las mejores bandas de los 80 s saludos atodos los que conosen esa musica
WHAT A GOOD CHANNEL, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE GREAT MUSICAL MEMORIES
How did the algorithm know I needed this while I was drunk.
Get counseling
Great musical song writing...... amazing song .. this song got everyone in the mood before they was going out and when they was out on a saturday or friday night in the Uk , infact the whole world in the 80´s ......
Tears for fears, The Smiths, The Cure, Siouxsie, 80's was amazing. 😊
LET'GO EVERYBODY LIVE AAAAAAAAA
Reminds me of the movie Real Genius!!! Watched it all the time in the 80’s!!👍🏼❤️
Just amazing, vocals, timing, drums got the downbeat,
Phenomenal song! I would love to go back in time!
I heard the MJ used this as the beat to "the way you make me feel" and i can't unhear it
That's true. Also, MJ took the groove of "I can't go for that" by Hall & Oats and created his biggest hit, Billy Jean, and then thanked Darryl Hall several years later for the idea...
Idiotic
Still great in 2023.!❤🤗💙
2024: Still listening to this fantastic song and still the hairs on both arms stand up from the very first note!
MAYBE WASH BETTTER
