I mean they aren't technically evil.... it's just dinosaurs surviving with their natural instincts The T rex may be seen as a monster but it cannot survive without hunting
True but given how the t-rex has no speaking role and no characteristics aside from straight up murdering them? Yeah that doesn't exactly help. I get where you're coming from but it does little to argue otherwise.
I'm pretty sure Don Bluth or one of the other people who worked on the 1st movie said that Sharptooth is just a normal carnivore who hunts because, well, instinct.
It's been decades since I've watched this movie but if the speaker for this channel is correct and Sharptooth does try to bring down the kids with him, then that shows ill intent beyond simple hunting instincts.
If the sequels were included, Littlefoot's grandparents should rank fairly high. They show deep care for their grandson and act as the best guardians they can be for him. Not only that, they are the most rational adults in the franchise and are shown to be dedicated leaders.

@@henryhammond7393 If that was the case, he could have eaten Littlefoot's mom's carcass, since he killed her. Or found some other prey rather than small kid dinosaurs.
The way Sharptooth is animated in this film, in my opinion, implies that he might be unusual for his species, going well beyond the ferocity needed to hunt for food into the nigh-murderous.
Although the original was DARK I would argue that the Third Film was also somewhat Dark, as it presented the possibility of the Great Valley dying and thus forcing the Dinosaurs to return to the Mysterious Beyond (i.e. Predator Central)
