Elsa was originally going to be the villain of Frozen, but they made Hans the villain. Elsa was locked in her room do to her ice powers being to dangerous and striking Anna. When she got out of her room so she could be Queen of Arendelle, she accidentally exposed her powers and froze all of Arendelle. So she went far away and created her own castle. Anna went after Elsa and tried to convince Elsa to go back to Arendelle, but Elsa refuses and unleashes the snow monster Marshmallow. Later on, Hans tries to kill Elsa but Anna protects Elsa from Hans. Anna's act of love saved Elsa and Arendelle and Elsa decides to come back to Arendelle while Hans gets sent back to the Southern Isles to shovel horse manure as his punishment.
She was the villain in Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale The Snow Queen, and if they stayed true to the OG, the entire thing would be dark as fuck. They still wanted a dig at Andersen, so they named the villain of the first film after him.
You forgot a major important villain that is way worse than hans. King ruenard. He actually kills someone and causes more problems for everyone he is the true antagonist of the frozen universe hans is a minor villain.

Anna definitely isn’t as pure as Olaf so I suppose she’s not quite more “good” than Olaf but if Frozen II is counted then she’s probably pretty close.
Love the fact that the main 5 is also the top 5 on the side of the good. One of the reasons I like this franchise is because it brought out such good-hearted protagonists, that still feel like active and relatable people with all their quirks.
The funniest moment in my opinion from Disney is this: Kristoff: your a crook, Oaken: WHAT DID YOU CALL ME? Also oaken: *throws Kristoff out the door because he called him a crook for no reason at all*
I still wonder if Hans was made the villain at the last minute. It’s like Disney had finished the plot and then realized “oh crap, we don’t have a villain.” I mean, there’s the duke but he’s not a true Disney-style villain. So they made Hans the villain at the last minute. His actions once he turns don’t make sense given his actions earlier in the movie. Why would he help Anna and Elsa, just to turn on them at the last minute?
There still is some evil in her "letting go", as exemplified by the lyrics of the song. She essentially states that she doesn't care about anyone anymore, she's going to do whatever she wants, no matter how it affects other people. "Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway." This could have been a full on villain song if she had been aware at this moment that she had frozen all of Arendale and thereby doomed her people, who can't even flee the country due to the frozen waters, to a slow death of cold and starvation. Of course she is mostly redeemed when we learn in her dialogue with Anna that she didn't know and that she is desperate about what she had done and about the fact that she has no idea how to fix it.
Here’s a theory that Hans did actually love Anna at the beginning of the movie however when Anna leaves Arendale to go find Elsa he pays a visit to the trolls while we’re not there and they trick hans into thinking that Anna doesn’t truly love him and that she was faking it the whole time and in reality she’ll fall in love with the very handsome kristof therefore turning him into the evil villain that we see in the movie therefore making the trolls the real villains in frozen I mean here’s a list of all the things they have done wrong: 1. Told the kind and queen to lock Elsa up in her room for the rest of her life 2. Kidnapping kristof 3. Erasing Anna’s memories

Am I the only one who remembers that the Trolls also told Elsa that her power could be beautiful, *before* he started warning her? I just don't get why the last part keeps getting mentioned, but no one mentions that, for all intents and purposes, the Trolls tell Elsa: "Your powers aren't a problem as long as you use them wisely." He basically acted like Uncle Ben to Peter Parker at the beginning and no one seems to remember that. Probably because of how everyone in the movie reacted only to the negative advice, not the positive. But seriously, as much as the Trolls went a bit extreme with their warning, they *were* also giving good advice and trying to help. Though I also agree that them trying to marry an engaged woman to their, more or less, adopted son was a bit much.

Here's something i want to see, but this movie really isn't that well known among basic animation fans. But... *The Brave Little Toaster characters: from good to evil* This movie is really underrated, and i think it nails character development. Especially the five main characters!
Frozen is on its 10th year now, and it doesn't get any more nostalgic! I personally like it a little more than the sequel, which is a little more heartfelt and melancholy, but they're both great!
Frozen when it first came out everybody was talking about it just like when Encanto released last year. It makes sense that Sven didn't get the gold metal of good, but instead got the silver metal of good, while Olaf got the gold metal of good. It's just because though Sven is a loyal reindeer companion to the very end. He doesn't talk, which Olaf was able to use his loyalty with words as well as sacrificing himself for Anna so she can stay warm. Sven is my favorite character from the movies, and Olaf is a close second for me. Both of them together was one of the things that makes Frozen such a great, and heartwarming Disney movie.🧊❄🦌⛄

About the alleged plot hole that Olaf's caring for Anna didn't count as an act of true love: I always read the resolution of this as that it was not an act of true love done by someone else to her (as everybody assumed under the influence of the old fairy tale trope of the true love's kiss), but an act of true love done by herself, that was needed to unfreeze her heart. Her decision to abandon the pursuit of her own cure to safe Elsa is what healed her in the end (plus maybe additionally Elsa acknowledging this), not just Elsa hugging her and crying over her.
I've heard it said that if Anna REALLY did her own ”Act of True Love,” she would have STOPPED freezing at that moment. The fact that she froze COMPLETELY, proves that Elsa’s hugging & crying was the TRUE ”Act of True Love”.

However, I think this video only concerns itself with characters who first appear in the first movie--not those who don't appear until Frozen II. Also, I never heard of Hans being brainwashed. Is that a fan theory? (I'm not being sarcastic here--I'm genuinely curious.)
@@ellynmacgregor8210 its suttle but the evidence is there. for example, why did Hans save Elsa from the duke of weasletons guards if he wanted her dead. and if he wanted Ana dead why didn't he just kiss her and wait for it not to work. then leave and say your getting help and not come back. then there's the fact that he mimics the personality of those around him. like how he mimics Anas personality at the beginning but when the duke of weasle town chalenge's him he starts acting like him. then there's the fact that when Elsa was under Attack by guards he literally quoted her greatest fear to her. don't be the monster they fear you are is what Han's said when his guards attacked her. and then there's the fact that we have literally seen memory's erased in this film before. in the opening sean of the first movie.

While they may have listened to Pabbie (his American name), they obviously misinterpreted his words. They apparently thought he meant the fear that other people would feel about Elsa's powers, when what he (probably) meant was the fear that *Elsa* would feel about her powers...a fear that might--and eventually did--cause her to lose control of them.
You have a point. When I saw it, I took his words as warning her own fear would make her lose control of her powers, but I can see how it could be seen as warning about others' fear as well. Though, logically, that also increased her fear, making everything worse

Frozen is on its 10th year now, and it doesn't get any more nostalgic! I personally like it a little more than the sequel, which is a little more heartfelt and melancholy, but they're both great!

Frozen when it first came out everybody was talking about it just like when Encanto released last year. It makes sense that Sven didn't get the gold metal of good, but instead got the silver metal of good, while Olaf got the gold metal of good. It's just because though Sven is a loyal reindeer companion to the very end. He doesn't talk, which Olaf was able to use his loyalty with words as well as sacrificing himself for Anna so she can stay warm. Sven is my favorite character from the movies, and Olaf is a close second for me. Both of them together was one of the things that makes Frozen such a great, and heartwarming Disney movie.🧊❄🦌⛄

About the alleged plot hole that Olaf's caring for Anna didn't count as an act of true love: I always read the resolution of this as that it was not an act of true love done by someone else to her (as everybody assumed under the influence of the old fairy tale trope of the true love's kiss), but an act of true love done by herself, that was needed to unfreeze her heart. Her decision to abandon the pursuit of her own cure to safe Elsa is what healed her in the end (plus maybe additionally Elsa acknowledging this), not just Elsa hugging her and crying over her.

You're right about Runeard--he is thoroughly loathsome. However, I think this video only concerns itself with characters who first appear in the first movie--not those who don't appear until Frozen II. Also, I never heard of Hans being brainwashed. Is that a fan theory? (I'm not being sarcastic here--I'm genuinely curious.)
@@ellynmacgregor8210 its suttle but the evidence is there. for example, why did Hans save Elsa from the duke of weasletons guards if he wanted her dead. and if he wanted Ana dead why didn't he just kiss her and wait for it not to work. then leave and say your getting help and not come back. then there's the fact that he mimics the personality of those around him. like how he mimics Anas personality at the beginning but when the duke of weasle town chalenge's him he starts acting like him. then there's the fact that when Elsa was under Attack by guards he literally quoted her greatest fear to her. don't be the monster they fear you are is what Han's said when his guards attacked her. and then there's the fact that we have literally seen memory's erased in this film before. in the opening sean of the first movie.

While they may have listened to Pabbie (his American name), they obviously misinterpreted his words. They apparently thought he meant the fear that other people would feel about Elsa's powers, when what he (probably) meant was the fear that *Elsa* would feel about her powers...a fear that might--and eventually did--cause her to lose control of them.
You have a point. When I saw it, I took his words as warning her own fear would make her lose control of her powers, but I can see how it could be seen as warning about others' fear as well. Though, logically, that also increased her fear, making everything worse
