- Today we're testing craft kits that are a DIY Fidget Toy by Pikmi Pops. This sensory toy is normally cheap but this kit is expensive. Is it worth it? Let's unbox and review to see what it includes. I used my own orbeez, but they included glitter and confetti.

Water actually gets moldy, it's why even with shakers it's advised to used distilled water or oil.
Exactly. Obviously can’t use sterile water in this situation, so preserver tablets are necessary.
Good to know. I have a snow globe that was diy and it said just add water and glitter. I'm tempted to empty it and add distilled water but for now it hasn't gone cloudy on my shelf
Could the water also evaporate? I made some resin shakers a while ago with just regular water and I’m not sure if the water evaporated or I just didn’t seal them right
@@taylorm1965 so with airtight sealing it would but since the particles are still be contained so would stop. My guess is there was probably a bigger air bubble than it looked.
@@taylorm1965 I had a snowglobe that had water for about 15 years but finally it evaporated. It can't last forever!

Also I think the tablet was put in so the water doesn't eventually get moldy and gross after a period of time. Stagnant water isn't fun

yeah, it's nothing to do with the water itself being dangerous. It's all the things inside the orb that get dangerous once they start growing in the water ;)
Oh! I just thought of a really fun challenge series you can both do! So my idea is that you (Sika) purchase a craft kit of your choice and you (Jackie) purchase all of the materials included in the kit on your own. You then make the same project using the instruction booklet with one of you using the materials from the kit and one of you using your own materials. You can then compare the final outcome with time, efficiency and cost, seeing if the craft kit was really worth it.

WOAH- i was so shocked when you threw the bubble pop kit in the trash!!! less than a few months ago my cousins and i (my cousins are 11 and 8!) did that kit and it turned out great!!! no leaking or anything!! the instructions were so easy to follow and i had fun! maybe i’ve got less good taste in kits since i’m a kid though! amazing video, love you too!!!💘💘

Ah I think that's why they have you put the glitter and water in the machine thing, the glitter that gets stuck in the thread of the valve messes with the seal
I almost bought the sew your own character kit for my daughter. I'm kind of glad I didn't. We opted for the Ravel Tales instead. Its a mystery toy wrapped in yarn. The yarn is used to stuff a pillow you can sew for the mystery stuffie. Then there's more yarn for bracelets and pom poms. $5 at giant tiger.

Considering how often you come across the bad glitter issue with these kits. Maybe you should get some biodegradable glitter & simply switch them out.
Then just save the regular for other non contaminating crafts.
You are my absolute favorite content creator. The energy you exude brings me so much joy! My blood pressure has gone up lately because of the salt! But I love it!
I love to watch Jackie and Sika while I craft. It's like crafting with salte friends.
I wonder if the glitter that got into the seal when Sika poured it in affected the seal and was the reason for the leaking, cause some stuck around where the top screws in. Still a crappy kit.
Yeah, I wondered why they didn't try to make a bit of a funnel or something. I mean, I don't blame them because kits should include that sort of thing but.

lol the sewing kit was literally just an unfinished toy. Like buildabear only gar'bag'e
I can see it being really good for a very young kid, just maybe closer to the $5 price point. It introduces them to sewing by teaching them a basic (very useful) stitch, showing the basics of how a plush is put together, and gives them a sense of accomplishment. Plus, it’s not so overly complicated that they might get bored and leave it unfinished. For 8 or 10 and above I could see a more intricate, start from the beginning project, but for the very young this is the equivalent of my grandmother only letting me sew buttons for several years.
It’s good to have Sika back on your channel because it’s a lot more fun to watch your sister act routine than just by yourself 😸😸😸😸😸😸😸😸😸😸😸

Sika and SalteCrafter are my spirit animals! Salte paid me a visit at a thrift store and gave me some cross-stitch craft kits. the only thing about cross-stitch craft kits that makes me salty is when the kits don't provide enough embroidery thread for a project, and you have to look for the exact color(s) at a craft store just to complete the project.

Water preservatives are for mold, which is everywhere and airborne. They’re included so your squishy balls don’t get moldy on the inside.

It's the most expensive thing other than my pc that I've ever bought but the installment payment option really helped. Worked out at £28/$38 a month for 4 months and without that i couldn't have afforded it.
