Yarn addicted grain here! That first one is just a tiny knitting loom with extra unneeded steps (loom knitting is actually pretty forgiving and fun!) Also the metal thing is just called a hook and is not the same as a crochet hook (which I am actually doing while watching this video!)
The entire time I was watching this, all I was thinking was 'How is this machine supposed to be easier than just a toilet paper roll with paddle pop sticks stuck to it??' Like I used to make these all the time as a kid, you just use different sticks (or, looms, if you're doing it properly I suppose) for different tension etc.
As someone who does like to work with textiles, I say those knitting loom things can be difficult until you figure out the right tension. It's very easy to do it too loose or too tight and it may not seem like it when you are doing it.
@@sarahroth6680 The machine itself might be the problem there, if it was just a loom knitting kit I feel like it would have been easier to get and keep good tension. Less to fiddle with.

Man, I remember having a non-pump version of that knitting machine when I was a kid. I used it so much that I could zone out using it and come back to find a yard-long tube trailing from my hands. And I’m a lefty. The pump part is the only thing keeping it from being ambidextrous.
I love watching your videos. I just went through a pretty tough situation. And after I stopped crying and calmed down a little bit. I got my food and started rewatching your videos to try and cheer me up
The ‘knitting machine’ is just a more complicated version of French Knitting, which is usually a wooden ‘doll’ about 6 inches high with four loops or panel pins in the top. I’m left handed and I started doing French Knitting as a small grain, it’s very easy because there’s no gimmicky trigger to press. They’ve made it difficult
Lol, I can't rewatch this one bc every time I wanna jump into the video to help y'all with that first kit. It's basically a loom and I've known how to use one since I was 11. Jackie and Sika, just so you know, it's not the easiest thing in the world for everyone but using a loom shouldn't be so complicated and I bet those instructions were terrible. It's best with pictures and video tutorials. When I first started I didn't think to use the internet but when I forgot how to crochet after I learned it I had a much easier time remembering it and getting back into crochet with videos! Love y'all always😘🥰
I would have loved that fairy doll as a kid. I was really into Winx and WITCH and still have my Stella doll in her "box." It was actually just plastic, so I had to carefully cut it so I can open it to play with her and then put her back when I was done
Honestly the knitting loom thinks are way more difficult than actually knitting. It was like making a mini hat but you also put it into the model inside out.
I can't crochet but I can loom knit (I learned two different stitches via YT :D) and my daughter who can knit and crochet has trouble loom knitting. I figure we equal each other out LOL
I own several of these machines that are for knitting. I am a crocheter and I can also knit. I know how hard it can be to use these types of knitting machines. I make amigurumi all the time so I know the struggle is real when it comes to these gimmicky items for knitting. Once you get the hang of it tho, it can be so much fun! I know if Jackie practiced crocheting, she would master it in no time. It doesn't matter what size you hands are Jackie, this would open up a whole new world and crafts.
I have used looms to make things like this .. the regular round looks are much easier to work with and use plus easier to control the tension, and stretchyness of the knitting.
Wow I'm early for once, a cash or trash with Sika. This series is the reason I can't walk around Walmart without immediately feeling slightly salty seeing all the craft kits.
I never see kits in the store. Maybe because of that it's the opposite for me: I've started looking up kits online because of Jackie. It's so addictive...
That looked more difficult than learning how to knit. It was essentially a loom with a clicky thing. Knitting isn't that bad once you get the hang of it. I'm so sad you were discouraged!
Those "foam" bodies and accessories look like you could customize them without the yarn. Would love to see you put your spin on one of the leftover animals.
I’d actually like to see Jackie & Sika like craft craft together! Lol also would think it would be fun to see them try to actually recreate some of these expensive kits with dollar store items!
lol, all i could think of when i saw the knitted end result was one of those weird finger traps that we had as kids(i grew up in the 90's). The more you pull it the tighter it gets. I absolutely love that the whole time you guys were fighting with that first kit and as annoyed as you both were all I could see was Sikas "positivity" tattoo lmao. I really needed this vid today thank you!
The plush one reminds me of the extreme rubberband bracelets that I used to make. You do the exact same thing but with small rubberbands. Now I really wanna go back to doing rubberband creations.
If you liked the knitting part, the mechanism is very close to loom knitting, the circle loom is to make hats and there is another elongated one for scarfs. If you want to take it up I definitely recommend it!
Jackie: I don't like chrochet knitting sewing... Me:😮 sewing is litteraly something I do all day everyday and I do chrotheting every once and awhile Also jackie I love watching your videos I got into sculpting thanks to you! And it's easier to just learn crochet than use that contraption, not that it's easy just not as bad and it has no future usefulness unlike real knitting and crochet.
And it isn't even a good knitting machine since it needs so much manual input. Crochet definitely seems easier to learn. Especially to just make a tube!
There is a product from japan called knitting machine that is similar to the first product except that it is more easier :] It is a round machine and all you need to do is just crank the wheel (sorry for bad english)
* sees the knitting kit * you'd have more fun and an easier time with a Knifty Knitter... I think that's how it's spelled. I'm terrible at spelling. 😂 It comes with the knitting loom, knitting hook, and instructions. The only extra thing you have to buy is whatever color and size yarn you want! 😃
SHE LOOKS SO GOOD WITH A PIXIE CUT!!!! OMMGGGG !!!! Ive been goin thru it... i lost a close close friend.. then, drama w my parents ... now .. im planning my daughters fathers funeral... literally.... for the past 6 months its a never ending nightmare.
Loom knitters, as that device is. Have a learning curve, but it is fun! Just remember. When wrapping the yarn and knitting over (yarn over the peg), work as loosely as possible!
My face when I saw that Jackie got a kit from Romania: 😯 (more socked than this but I can't find the emoji) P.S. I'm Romanian. Not the one that sent the kit
It might be because I'm mexican but I've never ever even thought of freeze tortillas, like, I don't... Why would you do that?? 🤣 But then again, you can buy fresh made tortillas here everyday at almost anytime
Definitely one of those situations where the mechanism made it way harder than it needed to be. Circular looms are actually a lot of fun! But this thing made it seems so difficult to work with!
Well done. Those yarn work guns have been around for a long time, but a yarn with quite a bit of stretch is a much better bet to create clothing or character bodies.
I’ve recently started to learn to sew on my sewing machine so I’m in for a tiring ride. But I shall persevere so I can make my own cosplays and cute clothes! 😂

Exactly!
As someone who does like to work with textiles, I say those knitting loom things can be difficult until you figure out the right tension. It's very easy to do it too loose or too tight and it may not seem like it when you are doing it.
I noticed straightaway that they were going to have trouble with tension. If they had been a bit looser it would have worked perfectly
I always feel like just knitting/crocheting it without the obscure machine would be much easier and faster
@@sarahroth6680 The machine itself might be the problem there, if it was just a loom knitting kit I feel like it would have been easier to get and keep good tension. Less to fiddle with.
Yes, the pull handle and mechanical feeder made it way too complicated and too tight.
It would also explain why the tube ended up being too long; tension is too tight = less yarn is used per round = more rounds for the given yarn.

You using sneak peaks or clips from "later in the video" is one of my fav edits of yours ❣️ (besides the random wolf gif you use when Sika howls 🤣)
Jackie: I don't like chrochet knitting sewing...
Me:😮 sewing is litteraly something I do all day everyday and I do chrotheting every once and awhile
Also jackie I love watching your videos I got into sculpting thanks to you! All love all the cash or trash and I love it when ~YoU bRiNg ThE sAlT~ I've always wanted to meet you and sika (I found you though moriah elizabeth btw) I love your channel When our dog was put down I went straight to you to make me happy (he died last month btw🥺) but you made me happy and I've been a grain for awhile now!
I’m already mad amigurimi is by definition crochet that’s a knitting machine
And it's easier to just learn crochet than use that contraption, not that it's easy just not as bad and it has no future usefulness unlike real knitting and crochet.
And it isn't even a good knitting machine since it needs so much manual input. Crochet definitely seems easier to learn. Especially to just make a tube!
Amigurimi can be knit as well.
@@Jayde419 Although it's generally not done for amigurumi, yes it's totally possible.
The “ami” part in amigurumi means crocheted or knitted, so by definition, it can actually be either. :)
There is a product from japan called knitting machine that is similar to the first product except that it is more easier :]
It is a round machine and all you need to do is just crank the wheel
(sorry for bad english)
Your English is perfect! No worries:)
* sees the knitting kit * you'd have more fun and an easier time with a Knifty Knitter... I think that's how it's spelled. I'm terrible at spelling. 😂
It comes with the knitting loom, knitting hook, and instructions. The only extra thing you have to buy is whatever color and size yarn you want! 😃
I love round looming by hand. I never realized it could be difficult for a beginner even with a machine 😭
I love the "bulbasaur" even though the kit was so difficult to use 🙀 So cute!!
Whenever me and my brothers have a fight it reminds me of Jackie and Sika 😂
You should do a uk vs us kit or something like that please!!
Oh sweet sweet sika that was so sweet for you to try and finish your sisters bulbs saur
That loom/gun thing looks infinitely more difficult than actual crochet/amigurumi...and if it took 40+ minutes it takes way longer too!
When jackie said she played with ninja turtels I somehow expected her to say that Sika played with rocks
That sucks. I hope it gets better ^v^
@@worm-lungs thanks.. i was just at his moms house getting his jackets with his name on them and his hat and some other stuff 🥺🥺🥺
@@st4rzz4sofi4 thanks ♡♡♡ im really trying 🥺😫
Just a friendly virtual hug from a stranger.
Good luck with everything, hope it will get better for you
Loom knitters, as that device is. Have a learning curve, but it is fun! Just remember. When wrapping the yarn and knitting over (yarn over the peg), work as loosely as possible!
I was just crying and I watched this video and started to smile I love you guys
My face when I saw that Jackie got a kit from Romania: 😯 (more socked than this but I can't find the emoji)
P.S. I'm Romanian. Not the one that sent the kit
Finally a romanian 🇷🇴 🥰🥰🥰 💙💙💙💛💛💛❤❤❤
You mean this? :😮
Exactly, that's what I felt in that moment 🤯
It might be because I'm mexican but I've never ever even thought of freeze tortillas, like, I don't... Why would you do that?? 🤣 But then again, you can buy fresh made tortillas here everyday at almost anytime
I’m Puerto Rican, and it’s just like “Why freeze tortillas? Then you have an extra step to warm it up so it not frozen anymore.”
I've had the same pack of tortillas in my fridge for a month and they're still fine
The legendary youtuber has posted
*_with her sister for double trouble_*
Well now I'm thinking of She-Ra.
Not that I'm complaining
@@shibadawn saaaame. I was going to try to make a reference.
This little knitter makes me want to see them with the incredible sweater machine.
You’re sister just went from “glow thingy 😍” to “you’re gonna f*** this s*** up” I love her so much 😭
I was about to go to sleep thank god this pops up before i turn the wifi off
**gets a notification that jackie posted**
Me: WANNA SEE SUM REAL SPEED?
Also me: **CLICKS FASTER THAN SONIC RUNNING**
Ya same had
To rewatch it though because it was so funny and I like to watch things like this over and over and over again
The chaos in this video perfectly represents having a sister! We all need a Jackie in our lives just for balance.
Jackie: I hate fabric related stuff
Also Jackie: Gets fabric related crafting kits. ...several of them so far.
Kudos to Sika for having done the makeshift Bulbasaur
Ayyyyye, the best part of waking up is Jackie and a cuppa
Between the haircut, the eyebrows and the makeup, getting some serious Liza Minnelli vibes, Sika. Beautiful.
Omg the first orange Amigurumi was funny and adorable. A big body with a small face😂😍 I probably would have done that just by hand but the off brand bulbasaur was adorable.
Jackie and Sika are Soooooooo adorable ❤️
I can always count on Jackie and sika to make my day :)
I love you guys figuring things out together 😂 especially when Sika curses
You can color salt with chalk and pour the different colors in a little bottle, my kids and I use to do it all the time
