The 1st Hokage beat Madara when he only had the MS, he didn't had Rinnegan, nor perfect Susanoo back than... That's what most people don't get.
In the present when he had the Rinnegan (and also had the power of the Hokage, Perfect Susanno etc...) he defeated Hashirama in seconds.

a man that held 10 chakra natures... this man is INSANELY STRONG. What's funny is that my son asked me as to why the "bad guys" made more logical sense than the "good guys". Like, right off the bat... he says that Tobirama seems more evil than Madara.... Of course, everyone loved Hashirama, but other than Minato, Naruto and Kakashi; all other kage's seem to be ignored other than Tobirama. He was the initial PROBLEM. Hashirama and Madara were the ones that ALMOST passed Hagoromo's test, but Tobirama was the cause for them not passing.
Yeah. It's funny that it was Tobirama that was blatantly prejudiced against *someone or something*, not Madara. Tobirama killed Izuna in battle and yet Madara never tried to kill him or maybe tried to get his reputation dirty (like Tobirama did to Madara) even after Hashirama's death.
Madara is too kind sometimes.

Madara was also so cocky and thought he was the strongest by his own power and determination, yet he used Hashirama's cells and Sage power, which is cheating and against his egotistical behaviour.

Sasuke has surpassed Madara the day he killed his own brother, something Madara could never do; just like how itachi couldn't kill his younger brother. Although Madara did take his brother's eyes he never targeted him out of spite. If only Hashirama and Madara was watching Naruto and Sasuke have their final fight. As a reflection of themselves when they were alive. It would be a spine chilling moment to see their reactions.
Sasuke never surpassed madara , and also sasuke never killed itachi.
Itachi was more talented than sasuke. He was a prodigy. Sasuke never could have done what he did without the help of Orochimaru and itachi. Sasuke is more powerful only because itachi died and itachi never got a chance to keep advancing. When they fought, itachi outclassed him in every way possible. And itachi wasn’t even at 100% he was already dying. Itachi never had lost to anyone nor did he have an equal. Madara is stronger than sasuke. Both Indra blood so both equal potential
