  • The Bucharest Metro (Romanian: Metroul din București) is an underground rapid transit system that serves Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It first opened for service on 16 November 1979. The network is run by Metrorex. One of two parts of the larger Bucharest public transport network, Metrorex has an average of approximately 720,000 passenger trips per weekday (as of 2018), compared to the 1,180,000 daily riders on Bucharest's STB transit system. In total, the Metrorex system is 78 kilometres (48.5 mi) long and has 62 stations ~Wikipedia

That's because they can't be cleaned up with paint-strippers, but instead need full repaints. There's a reason why the newer trains for Bucharest are made from stainless steel, makes it super easy to clean them from graffiti if they get painted.

Because they will be scraped anyway. This are the last pieces of IVA old trains that will be out of work in couple years. The graffiti on the outside seems different from that on the inside: The graffiti on the inside seems like numerous but scattered random scrawls which might or mgiht not contain words, whereas the graffiti on the outside seems systemic, with each car having a theme, so highly ordered that it almost seems that an institution (even if unofficial) was formed to coordinate the effort.

the inside contains handstyles. some are harder to read and that is understandable, as you have to have knowledge in the field of handstyling to make out the letter strcutre. the outside of the trains contains pieces, which work toghether because each piece has a pleasing color scheme, which is a a result of good knowledge in color theory. there are also what we call "crew pieces" there, which are pieces that a group of graffiti artists come toghether to put up
