The one time Zambidis impressed me beyond any expectation was: he jumped into flying knee, and when he was in air the gong sounded, and he prevented that flying knee from hitting the opponent. That was sooo amazing I still remember it.

oh seriously!, im 5'5 and i was weighing in at 65kgs always thought i was really small but i guess this is why everyone said i looked tank and stocky as haahah. Mike "looks" 72 to me

Never really watched prize fighting before moving to Japan. But since coming here in the heyday of K1, grew to love it, and Zambidis ALWAYS fucking ROCKED!! Love that little man!! Always told my wife that me at 6`4" & 260 would be TERRIFIED to take him on. Pound for pound, one of the best!!

Sorry for the late reply but I'm so high and just pissed myself at this but surely it's shogun rua and vin diesel had a baby because he looks like vin diesel but he was raised by Mike Tyson that's why he's an animal at punching and had his father's natural MMA skills

Iron Mike is one of my all-time favorites, for obvious reasons. That left inside leg kick, right hand combo is highly effective, and in MMA, Dan Henderson has used it with great success.

But I believe that when you explained the cross-counter, you showed a different move from Zambo: the overhand counter. The difference is that the right arm is arched, while in the cross it's straight.

out in the wild, so to speak, big guys who act like they are hard generally manage to convince the general population. fact is; most of them have no wind to speak of and very few of them have ever had a real fight. usually setting a high pace for the fight, making them move around and staying out of reach while kicking for the thighs and short ribs, generally makes them regret their bullying ways very quickly. it is amazing how many big guys will spaz right out after a few min of that. setting them up for that sweet finishing shot. weirdly this often takes the form of a head down charge at you. if you dont know what to do with a gimmie like, that then I cannot help you.
