Both of my heater core hoses go to some sort of hard line and go somewhere else

Are you working on a MK4 1.8t? I cover removing the hoses from the hard pipe and coolant flange in the video.

Hey Steve, would this work on the 1.8T 02 new beetle as well?

I know that things can be a little different in the Beetles, and in the case of these hoses I believe the part numbers are not the same between the Beetle and other MK4 1.8ts. That being said, I would think this video would be pretty close to the same procedure.

I don’t understand why they are so long I had to cut mine I couldn’t find a way they could fit and I just replanted heater core and the part that clamps on heater core still leaks

What brand hoses did you get? I've had bad luck with non-OEM or OEM supplier coolant hoses. Mine were the perfect length and I haven't had any problems with leaks.

Hey Steve... I have an off-topic question about my mk4 GLI clutch slamming to the floor.
My clutch pedal went to the floor and I replaced the clutch bleeder (breather) valve, bled the clutch, and I'm still not getting any clutch pressure.
I've had this part replaced 1.5 yrs ago along with the hydraulic line, so I don't know what else to troubleshoot.
Any thoughts? Hopefully I'm not out of line by asking you this here.
