So many metal elitist hating on this band, they did a fine job covering this classic from Judas priest so either you guys can't accept it or you guys are just narrow minded...
Kira Kousuke How are we narrow minded? For pointing out how much of a disgrace these vocals are, and how they butcher a classic metal song? I think it just shows that we have standards, and that we don't take kindly to a shitty metalcore band not paying the proper respect to the original version by playing it correctly.

I've known of this song for a long time but i never payed attention to it. Today, i was testing out a new sound system on my TV so I just grabbed the first AILD song that popped up. And it happened to be this one. So, I'm listening, starting to like it, and then really started to like the sound. I was thinking "Man, this has a really cool early 80's vibe. It sounds like Judas Priest if Jordan Mancino was drumming for them". So, I liked it enough to share to to my FB. I jump on youtube on my phone and searched "Electric Eye" and the first song that popped up was Electric Eye by Judas Priest lolol. I had no idea this was cover but I totally called it with the sound hahaha. It's like I'm the Metal Whisperer
trillriff-axegrinder could not agree more. This is my favorite song by priest and I don’t get into all of as I lay stings music but I think they did a really good job on this cover
HAHA this is awesome!!!! Let me just say I've always like AILD and im a HUGE priest fan. These guys did a great job on putting their own spin on a CLASSIC of the genre all the haters need to relax and realize that a cover is supposed to be your unique spin paying homage to some of the founders of this style.
So if your car ever breaks down in the desert and you're hot or surrounded by a giant scorpion - you now know that the best way to deal with the stress is to just rock out a little bit!! :)

No one can ever replace Phils scream. The way he screams is deep and not whiny like most of today's screaming. To me they are one of the very few metal bands worth listening to.
so i basically laughed at the title of this alone in sheer disbelief, but this is actually really good O__O i'd even go as far as to say this is the best song they've done. and it ain't even their own!
This was actually a respectable tribute to the original. The instrument side of things was dead nuts with with some bonus minor changes and as a whole was good! Fuck the haters I was impressed.
Well aren't you just full of sunshine and rainbows. The whole point of a tribute is to take a song from a band that influenced you and play it as your own. I'm sure this is a difficult concept for you to grasp but for what they where aiming to do, it was a success. So if you would be so kind as to fuck off with your hipster mentality, that would be great.
NOT GIVEN NOYB they did sing though? the only part they don't sing in this is the first few lines of each verse, but those are hardly even sang in the original, they're almost "talked"
NOT GIVEN NOYB "the first few lines of each verse" more specifically, I'm talking about "Up here in space Im looking down on you My lasers trace Everything you do" and "Always in focus You cant feel my stare I zoom into you You dont know Im there" In the original recording, those lines are barely even sang, and in this recording, they're the only lines that weren't sang, so I don't see why it's a big deal. These lines total for 20 seconds of a 4:20 song, so yes it's a small fraction. Do you not hear the singing that starts at 1:28 and continues for almost the entire rest of the song? There are screams/growls layered over it but it's sang just as well.
Barely even sang? Well clearly you are no singer. If this band is so damn great how come Halford doesn't start growling the same way they do? It's cause he knows it's better to sing instead of growl.
NOT GIVEN NOYB if you cant recognize speech level singing, like in the lines from the original recording that i mentioned, then YOU actually don't know shit about singing and have probably never really tried to sing before

There's no spin, the music adds nothing new to the original song whatsoever
Robert Hardy except it does even if it’s not every little thing that’s different. For example, there’s screaming incorporated into the song
Zach The Anime Hunter Screaming was already in the song. The two lines before the chorus are screamed, or more specifically screeched robotically.
