the saxophone solo was played by the magnificent Dave Koz. All other musicians in this song are Peter Gabriel on guitar, Tony Banks on keyboard and synth, Marcus Miller on bass and Omar Hakim on drums. This Sledgehammer is supposed to be the work of Peter Gabriel in collaboration with the Harmony and Tronicbox in 1987.

Man it hasn't been the same since Camila Cabello split with the group in 1990, the group stay together until 1994. Cabello had a successful solo carrier in the 90's meanwhile some of the group members fell on hard times 0_Q.

I remember the rainy nights back in 80's New York, this used to play on the radio nearly every night as i was driving home from work.
Loved their cameo in friends back in 95 as well.
That group announced a hiatus in 1988 and never come back again.
That was when Camila Cabello had done her debut album back in 1988. They reunited back in early 1989. The group disbanded in late 1994.

After listening to this again, I've come to the decision that pop songs now are too short. I miss those instrumental breaks man. I was spoiled by Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson and all the greats as a kid, and now I wish we could get some longer tracks with more displays of musicianship. I don't hate modern pop or anything, sometimes people just want something quick to get hype to, but damn I wish there was more stuff like this out there too

I just listened to the original version for the first time, and I don't like it. It's completely generic, and forgettable, but I love this remix. It shows how a talented producer can elevate a mediocre song into a hit.
