Thank u so much doc this I s amazing .. my question is how was she able to reach amazing weight at the end of the life cycle ..is she using commercial feed!?? How was she able to maintain uniformity!!? Can u help me help me formulate my own diet for broiler, at least even a green light about my diet.. thank u ...
She is using commercial feed but you can formulate your diet and mix it at your barn if you want. She is managing FLAWS carefully. FLAWS is an acronym for feed, light, air quality, water, sanitation, space (stocking density) and biosecurity. Also, she is using two different diets for light and heavy birds so that at the end of the cycle she has good uniformity. Here in Alberta the main energy ingredient is wheat. But for light birds, she is adding corn to the diet to helo them grow better. However the new diet (with addition of corn) should be balanced. They call this feed, a High Feed which is used for lighter birds to bring them up to speed. If you want to improve uniformity it's good to do grading and put the similar weight birds in a pen together. That way you can decrease the competition between birds for feed as well. I have explained least cost formulation method in the following link th-cam.com/video/tEAarcwd300/w-d-xo.html I'll create another video about manual feed formulation as well. Glad to help.
