    thank you very much prof for this great information.....but could you have some idea to share about the formulation for how to make eggshell colour to be more brown and egg weight more improve arrounds 62-64gr/egg?

    • @animalnutritionist
      @animalnutritionist หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your comment. Eggshell colour depends on genetic and it is not affected by nutrition. So there is no way to make changes in eggshell colour through nutrition. But yolk colour is affected by nutrition and depends on the type of pigments in feed ingredients. For example corn makes yolk more yellowish and feeding alfalfa powder makes yolk orangish yellow. In terms of egg weight we need to pay attention to dietary amino acids balance especifically Methionine level. There should be enough Methionine in the diet to cover Met+Cys requirements. Please watch my other videos to learn more about the amino acids requirements. Also Linoleic acid (which is a omega-6 fatty acid) can increase egg weight so the level of this fatty acids should be balanced properly in laying hens' diets.

      Hello sir, In Kenya the minimum recommend level of crude protein in concentrate is 18% ,what changes can we do the the formula to achieve this .

    • @animalnutritionist
      @animalnutritionist หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@skkahare8728 The protein level in the concentrate is not a fixed value. It depends on the type of the forage is being used in the ration. It also depends on the production and physiological status of your animals. So when all the pieces of this puzzle come together then the required protein level of the concentrate will be determined. What specific content are you most interested in and need that I can help with?

    Thank you my good sir. My question is if i can use a higher coefficient to push my cow to reach the higher performance. i.e if my cow produces 15 liters but it has a genetic potential of 25 liters, if i feed it using the coefficients of 25 liters, will it push the cow to achieve the same perfeomance?

    • @animalnutritionist
      @animalnutritionist 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not only about using coefficients of a high performance cow. All aspects of management including environmental management, nutritional quality of ingredients, optimum amount of effective fiber and other nutrients, method of feeding, the ratio between forage and concentrate, using the relevant feed additives in every physiological phases, etc. will affect your cow's performance to reach its production potential.

    Excellent 👍, once again you did brilliant. Just for my curiosity which type of algebraic equations you have used. Secondly what if we have more than two energy ingredients and similarly more than two protein ingredients

    • @animalnutritionist
      @animalnutritionist 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used 2 equations with 2 unknown variables (x and y). X represents the energy ingredients and Y represents protein ingredients, regardless of the number of ingredients. It means that you can have as many as energy ingredients or protein ingredients. What you need to do is to calculate the energy and protein content of all your energy ingredients and use it as x and do the same thing for the protein ingredients and use it as y. Please watch all episodes of "cattle ration formulation" videos to see how it was calculated.

    • @animalnutritionist

      Thank you for your feedback. It is possible to formulate cattle ration using an Excel file similar to what I have explained in least cost formulation diet for poultry (th-cam.com/video/tEAarcwd300/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3l2HF4yzELsOW7TU). However, if you want to balance more dietary attributes such as RUP (Rumen Undegradable Protein), FME (Fermentable Metabolizable Energy), DUP (Digestible Undegradable Protein), etc. then you need to use a professional software like Dairy NRC using this link: nap.nationalacademies.org/resource/25806/Installation_Instructions_NASEM_Dairy8.pdf

    • @animalnutritionist
      @animalnutritionist 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In layer feed formulation if you want to apply the maximum profit idea, you will need to use egg price and feed ingredients cost to optimise the dietary energy and subsequently dietary nutrients level to achieve the maximum profit. I hope this answers your question.
