That looks like a nice safety enclosure. The enclosure is what so many of the lasers are missing. It's surprising that there isn't a safety shutoff connected to the lid.
So on the actual laser when it is installed in the enclosure the safety shut off switch sticks out of the machine so that you can still press it while the laser is in the enclosure. As you can kind of see in the thumbnail on the left side of the enclosure that is the control box with the emergency stop sticking out of the machine.
