In my opinion, the best cost-benefit is to start with Fire. It is a stage without secrets, the fight against the Boss is based on shooting non-stop and avoiding physical contact. The reward is the best weapon in the game. With the Fire Storm, all other stages are set to easy mode. It is a weapon with high damage capacity, it generates a temporary shield and has an extremely low cost. Then just follow the sequence: Bomb > Guts > Cut > Elec > Ice..
The pause glitch literally makes bosses a cakewalk with their weaknesses due to resetting their invincibility frames. Also both Cutman and Gutsman can be handled easily with Buster as well, since most runs I see tend to do Guts first for earlier Magnet Beam. Firestorm is usually preferred on Copy Megaman if not using pause glitch because it gives you more room to dodge than Thunder Beam does On Final Wily phase, Firestorm and Thunder Beam do the same damage as Rolling Cutter but non glitch fights tend to use Firestorm's shield to take advantage of the zero i-frames
Alternatively, 1. Cut Man 2. Elec Man (twice, second time for the Magnet Beam) 3. Ice Man 4. Fire Man 5. Bomb Man 6. Guts Man This format allows you to acquire the good weapons sooner (Thunder Beam, Ice Slasher and Fire Storm), while the pile of trash known as the Super Arm is acquired last. Plus, you can use the Magnet Beam to get past that irritating first segment of Guts Man's stage. Just have to fight Elec Man twice in a row. Bonus: PSP New Style loop order. 1. Cut Man 2. Bomb Man 3. Ice Man 4. Fire Man 5. Oil Man 6. Elec Man 7. Time Man 8. Guts Man (even more irritating than the original made even worse with no Magnet Beam in PSP New Style) Sadly, the Thunder Beam, Ice Slasher and Fire Storm all got nerfed. On the other hand, the Rolling Cutter and Hyper Bomb are slightly better than the NES/Genesis versions.
Best answer and I can add that most people who play this game dont know that you can break the big blocks with the thunder beam to aquire the magnet beam
Have you tried the strategy for fireman by jumping over each flame wave and using the arm blaster? I cannot pull it off, its ridiculous. Ive seen it with my own eyes but my brain cant comprehend the speed required lolol
I ever started with Fire. Dunno if I do It what you are talking about. Theres no secret to defeat the Boss. Just shot non-stop and avoid physical contact with Fire Man himself. Jump some Fire waves but even if you don't avoid the enemy shots, if you face him with full HP and shot non-stop at max speed you can, you will win the fight. The high DMG is always from Fire Man contact.
Kill the first few of them with the buster, then kill the last 4 with the Gutsman arm. If you die after you've thrown all of the blocks you are screwed because they don't respawn and it's impossible to jump over those things if the blocks aren't there. Another example of jank programming in Mega Man 1.
My robot master order: Ice > Fire > Bomb > Guts > Cut > Elec Wily-Bosses: #1: Elec #2: Fire #3: 1st one with M-Buster, others with Guts - this boss is missing in this video #4-1: Fire #4-2: Elec
-Robert Drake- Ice Man and Elec Man without their weaknesses (and the Magnet Beam for Ice Man's stage) is for skilled players only. Majority is better off with either Bomb Man or Cut Man.
I can't think of anything that would justify starting with Ice. It doesn't make any sense in my opinion. His weapon doesn't justify it. His phase doesn't justify it. The only justification could be having the weapon needed to defeat Fire, however, Fire is easily defeated with normal shooting. I can't understand this sequence.. 😅😅😅
@@youtubeemployeesarestupid3464 I always had problems with Cut Man at first. I've chosen Ice Man for beginning because I wanted to be able to freeze the flames in the Fire Man stage. But I think your words make sense - on my next playthrough I'll try to start with Bomb Man.

But the Fire Man stage is much easier having the Ice weapon. That's the reason why I usually start with Ice Man.
I find that using Fire Storm on the MegaMan Clone is much more effective.
Oh and also take advantage of the pause buffer exploit for easier kills 😂

No pause glitch in the Genesis and PSP versions.
Note: Use the Arm Cannon against Bomb Man the 1st time, and Fire Storm the 2nd time
Really good routing, alternatively consider adding the full stage runs as separate videos.
@@nicageekinc that’s a good idea!
@NESencyclopedia glad to be of help
Pause as the elec beam hits his eye
I like to start with Fireman's stage and I use his weapon throughout most of the game instead of the normal blaster.
Exactly!! Best cost-benefit of whole game..

Going easy is not mockery.

Same here. Been trying for years. I can't do it

I hate to be that guy, but you forgot about the CWU-01P boss fight in the 3rd Wily stage.
@@NickC282 great catch, Thank you. I’m not sure how that got edited out. I never even noticed! Cheers

@@ryusawatari - Ice Man is for skilled players looking for a challenge. Same with Elec Man.
Funny thing is fire mans weapon is bomb mans weakness.
Fire sets off explosives. See also: Blast Man, Bamboo Pandamonium and Pirate Man.
